Ever heard of the term "Omnivorous". We were never Carnivores as you ask everyone @EarthlingED. If you had some brain or educated you would have known about the history of human evolution. Yes, prehistoric human beings had teeth like carnivores animals cause they used to consume raw meat. After they learned to cook meat in fire that's when their teeth started to change. Later teeth evolved more as they started to cook their meat. What a freaking idiot do you use your hand to plough your fields? As a natural herbivore you could easily be able to chew raw grass and take out grains from crops just by chewing or using your hand. Why do you use tools for that?

Ed, nature evolved humans to have opposable thumbs so we can grab things. We also evolved a large brain with a very well developed pre frontal cortex so we can think rationally. Which led to us making tools to build shelters and kill animals if needed. I’m a firm believer that ancient humans ate a 70-90% plant based diet, but if you truly cared about the planet and you weren’t just propping yourself up on a moral high horse you would only eat fruit. Plants have the same biology as animals and as humans, they fight for survival just like we do. Eating fruit keeps you from killing the entire plant for food and you can also deposit the seed somewhere else so more fruit can grow. A plant based diet is difficult to sustain your health over long periods of time, don’t mess up people’s health with bad advice thinking you’re a virtuous human.
Honestly, as irrational as he was, I just wanna compliment the farmer for being chill in the end and actually thinking over what the argument was about. That was very mature of him.
@Danny You tagged me and told me to shut up. How is that meant to be to someone else then me? I think your meat intake has fucked your hormines up or something. Ur going crazy.
Why is no one talking about him saying lambs try to kill themselves immediately after birth. They were just born. You can't expet them to know the dangers of life after being alive for 1 hour. When i was young i grabbed my mom's hot iron and burned my hand. It doesn't mean i wanted to die, i didn't know better. The same for a lamb getting stuck in a fence. They were more likely trying to pass it than ending their life.
That's his excuse for seeing sheep/animals as lesser and basically dumb. as you say...being young doesnt make you dumb...you just haven't learnt anything yet!
Old _Yeller ikr when I was young I put a hot pan on my face doesn't means I was trying to kill myself I bet his sheep where just trying to escape their hell life locked up in a cage and tried to get to the fields and be free but got its head stuck I mean some people r well stupid
"Vegan plants" So there is such thing as meat plants? What?? 😃 Also he's a farmer, he said its expensive but he is the producer of these expensive products therefore will be making higher profit from it. He complains that its worth a fortune, this will only affect him positively as his income will raise. As they are expensive, if no one buys his crops, he can lower his price and many people will want to buy as he said they are expensive therefore his lower prices will attract more customers also raising his income. Growing crops and "Vegan plants" is not only better for the animals and environment but also for his personal gain wich he does not realise. Hopefully he will soon acknowledge the progression of society and the world, noticing the increase of vegans and placing himself in a position better for himself and the environment. :)
haha yea, great vid. I do dislike it when people say the "planet is dying" though as if we have the power to kill a planet, it was here for billions of years before us and will be here long after humans have died off.
Exactly. I bet if we could travel back in time a few hundred years or so and witness slavery with our own eyes, everyone from that time will tell you the same thing, “Oh, it’s normal.” Maybe it was normal back then but it never was moral from the start.

richiesworld1 You are saying this ironically, but that exact argument was used to justify slavery. It was widely assumed that people of African descent were ‘naturally’ best suited for a life of slavery and that it was therefore actually good for them. Slaves who tried to run away were therefore viewed as having a mental disorder. Those in favour of slavery were often simply unable (or unwilling) to understand why African people did not want to be enslaved. This guy argues that comparisons between animal agriculture and slavery are unreasonable, but he doesn’t understand that is making exactly the same arguments as those who supported slavery.
Not sure what's so scary about that. Not everyone wants to go against the grain. some people just accept the world as it is and the system they were born into.
@@BlankestKnight wow... good point, thanks... however, just coz "not going against the grain" is easier, doesn't mean it's what's best, yet I'm for reducing animal food consumption so we can opt for better quality nutrition, the animals are treated better etc... so "plant-based" not "vegan"... out of curiosity, what's your thoughts?
@@liamnicholson6479 And just because someone goes against the grain and are fighting for something doesn't mean they're objectively correct either. Think about the prohibition movement. My core belief is that all creatures on this planet consume life in some form. Whether an animal is more or less intelligent doesn't change that fact. I personally don't see a difference between a lion eating a gazelle and a human eating a gazelle. I don't think the gazelle would see a difference either. It's a prey animal and that is its ultimate fate. Humans are the ones that choose to add right or wrong to that action. An action that by its nature may very well be amoral. Morality in itself may very well not exist, it could be an entirely human-based concept that we created in an attempt to add order and fairness to a lawless universe. Since I see things this way there is no reason for someone like myself to go against the grain on someone I don't feel strongly about. I'm all for improving factory farming and animal conditions because we can but not necessarily because I feel like we as humans are obligated to do so. I think improved conditions would improve the quality of the food which in turn would help with the nutritional issues many Americans suffer from by eating too much processed food like McDonalds. I can't say for sure that I think everyone should go plant-based since I don't know for a fact if that is the ideal diet for a human, but I think it's hard to go wrong with a well-balanced omnivorous diet and overconsumption is an issue in the first world when it comes to a lot of things.
@@lukecheshire2299 well yes because we arent obligate carnivores or herbivores. However, those who eat meat have high risk developing colon cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, heart dieseases, neurological disorders, allergies and so much more. Not to mention meat cannot detox your body, nor do they have antioxidant qualities which is essential to live a healthier and longer life. Plus our bodies are most close to herbivores than carnivores, so it would be far more beneficial to eat more plants than meat.

Alistair Graham It shouldn’t be normal and just because it has been around for a long time doesn’t justify it at all. Women’s right to vote has been around for only a couple of decades and before that people didn’t understand why to change the voting system since it has been that way forever that only men can vote. This doesn’t justify the inequality just like the killing of animals for our satisfaction. Your argumentation does not make any sense.
@@kirsten1144 But it is normal. We are animals. Animals eat animals. Even if we dont 100% have to we still can and all since we are right now the strongest animal race. I dont think what some sensitive snowflake thinks about it makes it unormal or different. Meat tastes great and gives plenty of good things, most vegans are sensitive little people and have to much of a fruit and plant based diet so they get way to much sugar. A example is: Sv3rige/Goatis watched a vegan girls video and calculated one of her meals to have around 100 grams of sugar. Thats pretty damn bad.
Alistair Graham You completely ignored my point about environment. More than half of the CO2 emissions come from cows that are either dairy cows or meat cows. I do agree that some vegans eat too much fruit and this eat too much sugar. However this doesn’t apply to every vegan. No ThisIsPatrick If we don‘t all become vegan the climate gets 1 Degree hotter in about 12 years and it won‘t get better from there. The Animal product industry destroys the planet more than anything else! And that‘s a fact
Yeah I love how in the end they were able to shake hands and finish the conversation calmly & respectfully. Honestly at one stage I thought the farmer would just storm off
He tends to only upload the ones where some amount of progress is made. I suspect most are either people who already fully agree but haven't put in the effort to make the changes, and people who don't stick around for long/storm off. Still, Amazing work getting through to people like this Farmer. The only reason is because Ed genuinely tries his best to be respectful. Vegans can get accused of caring more about animals than people but Ed clearly is compassionate even towards his opponents.
Yes you can, it’s called a respectful kill. Any one who’s ever killed an animal would know. For example the native Americans would bless the animals they kill and use every part of their body for their clothes, food, homes, and tools. The reason he had no answer was probably Bc he was thinking the same thing I was when he said that... that this dumbass has no fucking clue what he’s talking ab at all
Mx racer you have no way of knowing what this man was thinking. The term respectful kill is a paradox. You can’t respect a healthy animal and take its life. It does not want to die. As for the Native American culture. They were completely in tune with nature taking only what they needed to, to survive and gave prayers of gratitude for the animals sacrifice. They had limited options for food and used the animals skin and bones too. You absolutely cannot compare this to the artificial setting of a farm. Where animals are never permitted the joy of freedom and natural behaviour. Their destiny is determined from before birth. Their life is boredom, suffering and despair. It’s an insult to the Native American culture as well as to animals to compare their way of life to this aberration.
kerry millar first of all I can greatly think of what he was thinking I’m from Texas I grew up on a ranch and know the thought process of a rancher/farmer. And no it is not a paradox it is very easily explained if you kill something quickly and not put it through pain it is respectful clean and quick where as is you purposefully let it suffer in pain and misery than it’s disrespectful you’ve obviously never killed an animal before so don’t even argue that Bc you have no experience to argue with. And on my grandpas ranch we don’t kill the cows we raise them to be sent off and every part of their body is used their meat for food their skin for clothes and leather products their bones for whatever use someone may have for them there is very little that gets thrown out. Also you seem to be getting a slaughter house mixed with a farm. Bc on our ranch we have 60 acres of land for the cattle to walk and graze on they aren’t kept im a small cage and tortured there are signs when an animal is depressed like when it doesn’t eat ect and these cows show no signs of this at all they live their life as if they weren’t kept in a 60 acre cage the same things animals do in the wild such as fighting for mates, grazing, playing with young, ect they do in their 60 acre confinement so you can’t tell me that they aren’t joyful and the cows honestly probably don’t even know that they are in a very large fenced in are Bc it’s a natural area of which they only keep to a specific spot of by choice and rarely ever get close to the outer fence with the exception of the fence that separates the 60 acre area for the cattle and the house and home grown garden. So please instead of believing the nonsense that people like this guy on this video tell you who have no experience at all with animals and start listening to people who actually know what their talking about okay. Literally anything you tell me I can disprove and that’s Bc every argument that the vegan movement uses is a bunch of bull shit made by one group of people with no experience what so ever. In my life I’ve only had one person who was vegan who actually ever made a fair point in which I give him props to and the reason is Bc he knew animals he knew how a farm works and he knew what he was talking ab and he is also one of my closest friends I don’t ridicule him for choosing greens and he doesn’t ridicule me for liking meat in fact he comes to my BBQ’s and I make sure to make him something vegan that he’ll eat. There’s a difference between being vegan and a blind idiot who brings up the same argument time after time after time no matter how many times they’ve been proven wrong and ridiculing them for their choice. It’s ridiculous honestly. Also if every person in the world were to go vegan there would be starvation Bc you can’t get as much calories from greens as meat it just doesn’t work like that when there’s billions of people to feed. Our bodies were made to have meat it affects our bodies in a negative way it’s the circle of life survival of the fittest were able to kill them therefore eat them that’s the way the world works predator prey that’s it.
Mx racer thanks for your reply. I have been vegetarian for 20 years and newly vegan. Since going vegan I don’t need my asthma inhaler and an annoying pain in my hip has gone away. I’m now watching my meat eating peers get sick now I’ve hit 40. You’re asking me to listen to your experience. Here’s mine, half my life vegetarian and I don’t feel any older than I did at 20, truly. You do not need meat to be healthy that is a lie. I do not follow Ed blindly. I am led by scientific fact, my own conscience and experience. Your ranch sounds nice and I’m sure you’re right that the animals there enjoy their life. Unfortunately there is not enough land on planet earth to keep animals this way. The fact is only a very small percentage of the animals we consume come from farms such as these. Most are raised in deplorable conditions. I also don’t agree that we can respectfully kill another being. That is my opinion and you will not sway it. Animals want to live. No matter how quickly they are killed they value their life. I’m afraid you are also wrong about the limited arguments we vegans have. 1) animal welfare 2) health, “read how not to die” if you want to really educate yourself and not regurgitate the same tired arguments meat eaters use. 3) The planet. The amount of grain and land used to keep animals to feed humans is key in the degradation of planet earth. 4) Covid-19 has come out of our mistreatment of animals. Many other diseases too.

Veganism and abortion aren’t the same issue. Forcing a woman to give birth takes away the rights of her own body, this issue isn’t present in the vegan argument. Veganism and pro life both try to extend life to beings but again differ with one being an unborn fetus the other being an already living being. So there is no contradiction as they are differing issues.

But they take it a step further and say it's unnecessary for us to consume meat to survive which is really none of their business so long if we're not hurting anything. So why not support more humane ways of slaughtering animals for their meat?
I'm not sure where you live, but here, people don't generally randomly come around killing other people's animals/pets for food. If they do, they can be reported to the police and the owner also has the right to defend their pet. (edited for spelling)
ryoriotwow You were talking about someone coming around to kill a pet sheep, right? People aren't generally allowed to go around killing animals that belong to someone else, no matter what kind of animal it is.
Kvg23 _ exactly. Like so many of the no-brainers commenting too. I think I made vegan bingo several times over in 5 minutes of reading the comments. All the debunked garbage thrown at us is so tired 😖
This is so typical of most ppl who can’t or won’t open their eyes and wake up to what’s going on. They have been so conditioned by society’s norm that they can’t break their programming. As the late great Tupac once said ‘We gotta make a change It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live And let's change the way we treat each other.’
That‘s a discussion that I had daily before I moved out. I - a vegan since 3 years - and my parents- farmers in the egg and dairy industry- fight so much about this topic because they think I should act against my morals and help them at the Farm. I cannot understand how they do not see my point. Instead of trying to understand my point of view they call me a freak.
NorVegan Is PSYCHO I don't really understand your last comment but now I also believe you have mental issues, seeing as you were unable to recognize humor. Get help, you poor soul.
@Rickie j I suggest you to watch his video in which he gave away vegan fish and chips for free while discussing veganism with the customers. he also gives them educational flyers. he does educate a wide range of people if you look at his social media. also talking to random people on the streets and delivering speeches is a highly effective way of getting people to think about this topic. so I think he does quiet well in raising awareness.
@Rickie j additionally being somewhat provocative will rather make you think about what you've being confronted on, don't you think? I see your point though, I used to not watch him bc of the provocative titles and I had the same view as you do. after watching a video I realized that this is used as a way of getting non vegans to be more likely to click on the video, especially if they have a negative view on veganism. this is how most youtubers do it, he does it for a good cause.
@Rickie j cool that you did that. if you watched Eds other videos though you'd see that he's very chill baut the topic and open to a discussion and diverse opinions.. in his Yale Videos e. g.
Lol. Loving. The loving thing to do would have been to actually treat him to an awesome vegan meal and make him taste the difference instead of having him frontal and at random. He's actually very lucky this farmer didn't drop him.
The vegan said "how can you morally justify it?", my objective morality comes from God which is the Creator of both humans and animals. Now the question is applied to vegans, how can you prove that to kill an animal for food is objectively morally wrong?
@@ricbla3499 Which God are you referring to? Please be specific when you cite "sources". Now prove your God exists. BTW, humans ARE animals - specifically, primates.
@@drunkvegangal8089 i am muslim but even in the Bible itbis not a sin to kill an animal. I think i have not a proof that would satisfy you, i believe because i have sufficient reasons to do so, mostly philosophical. After established that it is much more reasonable to think that a Creator exists you simply check if it is compatible with a religion or not. Also even if we don't bring religion in the conversation i can easly claim that your morality as an atheist is just subjective and you have no right to say that something is immoral, it would just be your personal prospective.
@@ricbla3499 I didn't think you'd practice a religion like Jainism or Hinduism since you declared your god dictates your objective morality regarding killing and eating animal bodies. Meanwhile, don't forget the Garden of Eden where, prior to sin, the first humans were vegans :D Yes. I am atheist and that means I don't believe in any religion. Of course my beliefs are my personal perspectives as they are not dictated by a god or goddess or other deity and I am not forced to bend my morality around whatever a religion dictates. BTW, there are plenty of tasty vegan foods available in Muslim majority countries; I've travelled (for months) in the Middle East, North Africa and Indonesia. Never went hungry and the people were lovely! There are UA-cam cooking shows that have vegan recipes from Islamic cooks with lots of comments from vegan Muslim worldwide. Practicing Islam need not exclude a vegan diet :D
@@drunkvegangal8089 the Garden of Eden doesn't matter because we are here and God said that we can eat meat, and not only that, we can use everything that we find in nature as we like. I think the farmers tone definitely changed the moment he realized that vegans are not trying to turn Farmers into homeless people. Farmers need to realize that they will continue to have jobs and be profitable even if the entire world completely stops consuming meat
TheBerkeleyBeauty ok learn this. Sheeps were breeded for farming. No farm animal species would survive without farms. That guy is giveing life to so many animals and a good life (as he claims) so why is it a problem if he kills them?
Youre confusing sociology- what men do, with morality- what men ought to do. Im asking you for how you can morally justify abortion or unnecessary killing/killing with intent/aggressive violence and you're responding with sa sociological answer and an ad baculum logical fallacy, we ought to murder because thats what w or animals do. So Ill try again, are you saying because someone cares for the needs of someone they kidnap, rape, torture and abuse they have a moral right to do this and murder them?

I believe it’s not morally justifiable in this time to inflict unnecessary harm. My idea is if society can show compassion and some sort of empathy towards animals then society definitely wouldn’t hesitate to show the same compassion and empathy towards people they interact with regardless of their gender or race because they will understand how precious and equally valuable all life is. Alison, this angry attacking stuff only plays well to vegans, some vegans. It is preaching to the vegan fire. Others , non vegans but maybe even once curious, will see it and hate you for the rest of their lives. This is not the way.
I would love to show this to my family. They have the same arguments as this fellow. They tell me I'm judging them. So there's no way. I'm the mother. I'm vegan, but not the rest of my family. They think it's ok to kill just like this guy.
Most of us have dealt with omni friends and family, many of us for many years. Getting in their face like this and dismissing them with arrogance and passive aggressiveness does not work. They will eat dead animals just to spike you, if you do. I am not saying they are right to do so, just that this is how must of them react.
Well let's be real here, it is in fact very possible for a human being to kill a lion without a gun if he is strong and smart enough. The fact we are omnivores means we can eat both plants and meat, when Ed agreed he lost the debate. He says "But you don't have to", but if that's true neither do gorillas. The truth is we do have to because meat gives us other essential nutrients like vitamin B12 and better supplies of protein in smaller quantities. The whole world can't take vitimin B12 supplements for the rest of their lives, its unnatural. So vegans lose the debate right there.
@@majdavojnikovic I don't have to be, everybody knows plants cannot provide you with vitamin B12 and there is no better source of protein other than meat. There are protein sources outside of meat, but you have to consume larger quantities of it to get the same amount. Legumes are the general choice, but they include lots of anti-nutrients which can lead to intestinal problems and a leaky gut. There are other problems with plant based diets aswell. You get increased risk of stroke, diabetics cant go vegan because it does something to them which increases their risk (I don't remember what it is was, but it's serious). Vegan diets lack omega-3 fat (EPA and DHA) which is typically found in fish. There have also been reports of lower energy levels, increased loss of hair and depression.
I eat meat but his arguments saying we don’t know if an animal doesn’t want to die or not is so stupid 😭 of course it doesn’t want to die or farmers wouldn’t have to put so much effort in to inhumanely killing it.
This dialogue on the verge of a blow motivates me so much to really say point-blank what I really think about non-vegan people, to not pamper them any longer. TELL THEM. The truth is UNCOMFORTABLE.
Heh. "They spend their infintile years trying to kill themselves." Oh, I guess he means like human babies who need to be constantly protected from themselves and grow up into the species with the highest suicide rate in the animal kingdom, by his logic we should eat them too.
Almost a year. Once you wake up and be honest to yourself it's easy because it's natural. You dont need luck. Thank you for making the world a better place.
@Lothent because the bears they have to. Also, the Animals they eat are not having a life full of suffering because they've been boverbread and they're not using resources that could feed people who are starving. Also the rainforest isn't being destroyed to grow food for them and they're not producing an overly big amount of greenhouse gases and thus fueling climate change. That's why. Obviously your diet is your choice, but it's still unethical because you choose to directly harm other animals and humans
I am a meat eater, 62 years, and some how I start to reject meat and even fish. I am aware of the " violence " that we put in our plate. Getting older drives me to feel more compassion for sentient beings.
Right on, brother. We must be willing to leave our comfort zones in order to find inner peace. Once inner peace is found, life becomes so beautiful again.

So there is such thing as meat plants?
What?? 😃
Also he's a farmer, he said its expensive but he is the producer of these expensive products therefore will be making higher profit from it. There was a market for slavery
This guy: "how do you know they don't want to be slaves"
richiesworld1 You are saying this ironically, but that exact argument was used to justify slavery.

“You cannot respect an animal and take their life”.......he has no answer.
Our bodies were made to have meat it affects our bodies in a negative way it’s the circle of life survival of the fittest were able to kill them therefore eat them that’s the way the world works predator prey that’s it.
kerry millar good luck reading all of that last post btw

1) animal welfare
2) health, “read how not to die” if you want to really educate yourself and not regurgitate the same tired arguments meat eaters use.
3) The planet. The amount of grain and land used to keep animals to feed humans is key in the degradation of planet earth.
4) Covid-19 has come out of our mistreatment of animals. Many other diseases too.

We can justify it because everything in this world consumes something else to survive. Unless you're a plant that photosynthesizes for nutrients, you consume something living to survive. Even rabbit's consume living beings to survive, since studies have proven plants themselves are very much alive. If you listen in the right frequency, you can even hear their death cry.

So there is no contradiction as they are differing issues.

Vegans mainly don't want animals to suffer, which anyone with a conscience would agree they don't want to see any living things suffer. So why not support more humane ways of slaughtering animals for their meat?

The loving thing to do would have been to actually treat him to an awesome vegan meal and make him taste the difference instead of having him frontal and at random. He's actually very lucky this farmer didn't drop him.
Yep. The comment section is mindblowing. People live in a dream world...
"How do you know the animals don't want to die?"
People will come up with any excuse to justify their bacon sandwiches loooooool
My point is that vegans shouldn't bring morality in the conversation, either as atheists or theists, morality is against their arguments.
I think the farmers tone definitely changed the moment he realized that vegans are not trying to turn Farmers into homeless people. Farmers need to realize that they will continue to have jobs and be profitable even if the entire world completely stops consuming meat
Dude you never lost your cool, I admire your focus. You sent him home with something to think about. I learned so much from you watching this.
TheBerkeleyBeauty ok learn this. Sheeps were breeded for farming. No farm animal species would survive without farms. That guy is giveing life to so many animals and a good life (as he claims) so why is it a problem if he kills them?
Joosep Jagomägi by that logic if you think parents give you life are you saying they have a moral right to murder them?
Dominick7 that's what abortion is? According to your logic farm animals kill their own children?
Joosep sp humans invented sheep for farming? They were never here before? Am I misunderstanding your comment??
Youre confusing sociology- what men do, with morality- what men ought to do. Im asking you for how you can morally justify abortion or unnecessary killing/killing with intent/aggressive violence and you're responding with sa sociological answer and an ad baculum logical fallacy, we ought to murder because thats what w or animals do. So Ill try again, are you saying because someone cares for the needs of someone they kidnap, rape, torture and abuse they have a moral right to do this and murder them?
"I've got a gun. That's the brain." *proceeds to repeatedly spew basic logical fallacies*
why Should We Kill An Animal to Satisfy our Tastebuds..
There used to be a “market” for slavery at one time too. Still didn’t make it right.

man said all sheep try and do is kill themselves because they get stuck in places humans made difficult for them LOL

DR's New Account anthonycolpo.com/the-ugly-truth-about-harley-durianrider-johnstone/
I became a vegan in the middle of July this year. I didn't exactly understand why I have made this decision, as at that time I was not aware of all the cruelty involved. But now I think, I want the Earth to become a little less cruel place to live in.
Can we just appreciate how they finished that conversation though? Like I’m 100% on the vegans side but you gotta admit that ended quite well
This guy literally said “how do you know it doesn’t want to die”😅 is he fr
I believe it’s not morally justifiable in this time to inflict unnecessary harm. My idea is if society can show compassion and some sort of empathy towards animals then society definitely wouldn’t hesitate to show the same compassion and empathy towards people they interact with regardless of their gender or race because they will understand how precious and equally valuable all life is. I might sound like a hippie 😂 but I hope you could feel me out somewhat
ego & ignorance
This dude be talking to himself, he's crazy.
somelamename how about mr.jukebox bahaha nice name brother
somelamename how about mr.jukebox the person I was talking to couldn’t hold a logical conversation. It looks like its happening again...
"There's a market for it"
"It's how I make my living"
"It's just how the world works"
If your arguments can be used to justify slavery, maybe get some better arguments....
MoistMalone yeah except they were talking about animals not humans
No ThisIsPatrick So by that logic if I feel it’s morally wrong to kill humans I also have to feel its morally wrong to kill a bug. That is some of the dumbest logic I’ve ever heard.
To compare an animal to slavery is ridiculous and sad yall need to find a new hobby and leave people alone
No ThisIsPatrick okay dude i work on a cattle ranch the animals out there eat better than me get medication and vaccines to keep them healthy and plus i work on a real ranch not some industrialized shit eating place and where i work wild animals flourish hell even the endangered Florida panther lives on the ranch i work on so i think ranches like mine protect life and let wild life flourish and we dont got out and destroy the land either we take care of it and nurture it and the majority of the cattle ranches around the U.S. are opened ranged where the cows roam free eat grass and are fed by us everyday these animals live good damn lives and taken well care of
No ThisIsPatrick so don’t come at true ranchers and farmers when apparently yall only go and watch videos of shit hole industrialized farms because we take damn good care of our animals
As always, you had a great dialogue! It got super heated around the middle but you managed to pull it together by the end. Thank you for your passion!
Best debate yet- hit almost every excuse and loved how you won him over in the end haha definitely showing this to friends.
Alison Henry doesnt matter, that guy still wont go vegan so whats tge point of winning him?
Alison, this angry attacking stuff only plays well to vegans, some vegans. It is preaching to the vegan fire. Others , non vegans but maybe even once curious, will see it and hate you for the rest of their lives. This is not the way.
He didn’t win anything
I would love to show this to my family. They have the same arguments as this fellow. They tell me I'm judging them. So there's no way. I'm the mother. I'm vegan, but not the rest of my family. They think it's ok to kill just like this guy.
Most of us have dealt with omni friends and family, many of us for many years. Getting in their face like this and dismissing them with arrogance and passive aggressiveness does not work. They will eat dead animals just to spike you, if you do. I am not saying they are right to do so, just that this is how must of them react.
"I've got a gun. That's the brain." "How do you know an animal doesn't want to die?" Such profound statements in the first few minutes alone.
It is like he invented that gun... :)
oysters are vegan
Well let's be real here, it is in fact very possible for a human being to kill a lion without a gun if he is strong and smart enough.
The fact we are omnivores means we can eat both plants and meat, when Ed agreed he lost the debate. He says "But you don't have to", but if that's true neither do gorillas. The truth is we do have to because meat gives us other essential nutrients like vitamin B12 and better supplies of protein in smaller quantities. The whole world can't take vitimin B12 supplements for the rest of their lives, its unnatural. So vegans lose the debate right there.
@@no1aviator are you a doctor or nutritional specialist?
I eat meat but his arguments saying we don’t know if an animal doesn’t want to die or not is so stupid 😭 of course it doesn’t want to die or farmers wouldn’t have to put so much effort in to inhumanely killing it.
plenty of stupid shite coming out of his mouth.
This dialogue on the verge of a blow motivates me so much to really say point-blank what I really think about non-vegan people, to not pamper them any longer. TELL THEM. The truth is UNCOMFORTABLE.
-Sheep want to die
-Well how did they survive for millions of years?
-I think you're pretty naive
omfg...
ShadowZZZ I’m dead 😂😂😂 his stupidity is beyond me
Heh. "They spend their infintile years trying to kill themselves."
Oh, I guess he means like human babies who need to be constantly protected from themselves and grow up into the species with the highest suicide rate in the animal kingdom, by his logic we should eat them too.
@@georgewarswick329 What are you saying?
@WeirdPlanet108 we are not apex predators anymore, but we have massive fooooooooooking brains and realise that meat is still the pinnacle of food
And has been for millennia, this is an attack on the farming of animals, meat should be hunted

I debated a buddy of mine at the gym about meat. He'd always walk out and say "I'm going out and get a hamburger". He just had half his colon removed.
I know a vegan who had all his colon removed.
Cool story bro.
@lamerlazy by that logic let people abuse children because that's their decision and animals do it too
@Lothent because the bears they have to.
@random person yeh so whats your point lol?
I am a meat eater, 62 years, and some how I start to reject meat and even fish. I am aware of the " violence " that we put in our plate. Getting older drives me to feel more compassion for sentient beings.
Good job
No your just becoming a senile sheep to be eaten by a wolf.

Right on, brother. We must be willing to leave our comfort zones in order to find inner peace. Once inner peace is found, life becomes so beautiful again.
tbh I've never looked at a burger and thought of a suffocating cow it's always just delicious to me, I genuinely tried to hate meat and animal products but i felt like i was starving
Such a wholesome ending there, didn't see it coming.
