You got STRAIGHT TO THE POINT. THANK YOU. What is this superficial nonsense people wanna get rich and famous and nurture their souls, the two don't work simultaneously. Artificiality automatically outrules genuine spirit.

I Agree. Balance in all aspects of life is the healthy choice. Hustling after 30 should not even be a thing people are doing. I once had a dream of joining an animating studio in my home country Jamaica, but they badlist me because I was interested in showcasing black people in a positive light. This is why toxic hustle culture exist. We end up having to do everything on our own which causes us to lose touch with our friends and family because the system is against us.

Yuppp you aint say nothing but the truth my friend. It's all in the balance but it can be hard sometimes doing it all by yourself so its honestly better to have people around you to depend on. Thanks once again for tuning in for another video!!

Wow, that doesn’t make any sense because Jamaica is Afro Caribbean country. Are they prejudice towards themselves? 😞😞

Yessss balance is key. So many people are just working themselves to exhaustion physically and mentally without taking a break just to 'get the bag' without making sure they're alright. And I think it's definitely gotten worse with social media and a lot of us seeing people our own age making a ton of money and probably feeling inadequate and feeling as if we're not doing enough without realizing that we're all different, our journeys are different and that not everyone is gonna be a millionaire before 25! But I think once you're a bit more self-assured, and know what you gotta do to live a life pleasing to you that's not based on what you see on social media, you won't or you'll feel less pressured to hustle hustle hustle to the point where you've sacrificed relationships and your overall health and wellness.

I can tell you from experience that I suffered because I overworked myself. I started experiencing chest pains because of the stress and ended up in the hospital. My last job fired me for that. I have a new job and an online business but I set aside a day where I simply relax.

Very good video Sholayy. We should have a living where we could balance our lives. Not to make enough money to stay stable (middle class or rich), but being miserable. If I had to pick for a dream job I would like to do acting full time🎭… I am also thinking about being a casting call agent, and/or a director. We see what happens😅

To me not having to work a 9/5 is the goal having money so on my free time I can do what I want , not having to Sacrifice my time and be listening orders to someone else. I don’t care about buying whatever I want excessively all the time. It’s about not being a literal slave for a “minimum of a wage.”

I want to become an artist and also do animation but my parents always tell me that I should pick a job like being a doctor cause it makes more money. Also that drawing doesn’t earn a lot and that I would be happy going to school for years to make a lot of money than to do something that will have me struggle. It just stresses me out and I’m basically being forced to go to an expensive college so that I won’t “poor”.

    • @_SHOLISCO_
      @_SHOLISCO_  3 роки тому +2

Man I can only imagine, if you're not happy being a doctor you would put yourself more at risk if anything but I do understand how demanding parent can be sometimes ngl

Do what makes you happy. Don’t try to please others. I went to college to become a lawyer to make my mom happy and I ended up miserable. I finally discovered I love making jewelry. Don’t let your parents dictate what you do with your life. Your happiness is what matters.

Engaging in United Nations work is enriching and fulfilling. Working with youth and children is important for young people because they pass on their experience to small kids more fluently than old teachers who have lost their youthful spark and think only about survival as an end game.
Being a business owner and manager or agent of artists/sports people, is also a good place to invest energy.
Homeless people are responsibility of who created homelessness - the banks. The rich Russian oligarchs. Not you, necessarily. This is my opinion

I would have to strongly disagree on this one Sholay, as a male 23, I realise "hustle culture" is just a modern application of natural hunter gatherer instincts. It's not fun and it takes sacrifice of your own personal desires to take on the role of the builder, provider protector or "hustler" but I understand that I need to do it.
I do it so I can have means to help others, If i have nothing, i have nothing to give. I hate having nothing to offer but empty hands and a smile. I hate being in situations thinking if I had the money would have done something. Being able to help, being someone useful, recourseful, capable, is something that drives me past thoughts of giving up to go pursue music
I do it for freedom. Even if I have to sacrifice my own freedom to slave for money. At least I know I can have the resources that my future wife and children can be financially free to pursue their own interests and have access to the best education, and enjoy travel leisure and a bit of luxury. Providing for my family makes me feel good about myself and drives me past thoughts of giving up to go chill out with my bros
And I do it for love. If I dont then who will love me? Seriously. If I dont make myself competent and capable who will respect me? Why would my opinions be heard, who would listen to me when I talk and not interrupt me, who would let me produce the minimum and still be nice to me.
I do it for so many reasons. Being able to help others, being able to be free or at least offer freedom to my family, to be loved and respected. These all make me feel good about myself and who I am as a man.
P.s. Mental health, social life, happiness deep relationships with your kids. You have to sacrifice these things because you cant have it all in life. No matter what you do somebody will be unhappy with you. Expecially women, which is why (no offence) I dont listen to them on these things because they will lead me into being sensitive, less productive, etc then hate me for being the man they've created. We never win: If you have all the time in the world you are broke and dusty and offer nothing but struggle love, whether you have no time and are successful your kids hate you and your woman complains these same talking points, or whether you have a little bit of both and not much of either your just average and no woman wants to be with an average man they want a high value man. I listen to what you guys say because it comes along with wanting to be loved by you, and knowing what we have to do to be loved by you, but I've heard it all now and honestly had enough of womens advice inducing confusion in my head. 🧘🏾‍♂️

It's capitalism... It's not understanding that the most valuable thing, when you are able to pay your bills and save money, is time.. You want to just be a hyper consumer. Luxury products? Woaw... It shows a deep shallowness..Luxury products that often are horrible for the environment ( so horrible for the FUTURE of your kids and their kids) , horrible for the people who have to make them and make mostly white rich people richer... Sounds like a scam but hey go work yourself to the bone to mostly make already rich people richer.. It's just not noble, maybe make more meaningful social connections since you know... We are social creatures that need emotional support and attention.. That's what is going to make your kids thrive.. This hunter gather excuse is just that, an excuse.. You probably don't even know anything really about how humans used to work, read something that excuses your worldview and ran with it. Hunter gatherers, men and women both did both 😶
To SURVIVE. Energy conservation has always been important to our species, hustle culture literally uses so much extra energy..art, culture etc, that's whay humans spend time on after hunting/ gathering enough.. Since food spoils and just gathering more than one can consume would be literally a waste. This " as a man" stuff is getting old by the way, we live in a century where most people will have to work, male or female..but whatever I'm just a FEmaLe 🙄😂 high value man😂 I can't with the Internet, you people spend so much time talking about shit that doesn't matter and makes no actual sense

Do you not hear yourself? That’s such a crazy toxic mindset, I mean, imagine admitting that you’re giving up your relationship with your kids and a stable love life (which is another sense of stability for children), to give?!? What are you giving? The most valuable resource we have is time, and if the people around you aren’t worth that to you, then don’t pretend you’re doing shit for them.
