Hats off to Felipe who stuck around on the beach to be one of the first to congratulate JohnJohn on his win. True sportsmanship, the numbers will fall in his favor next time.
What separates John from the rest including Medina and Felipe is his own unique style that we all love and admire .the relaxed posture droping down and waiting for the right moment to attack without any extra egotistic nuances .his surfing is selfless but yet explosive and therefore more likeable, a true artist that doesnt overdo things and belives that Less is More .
Filipe wasn't even throwing any spray in his turns. Even the commentators had to hype up his turns. "slashing cutties" more like "sprinkle cutties"
Bells Beach the musical. I miss the mocking comments from the commentators.
john style and power is next level in big waves
I've gotta say JJF scraped home in this final by the skin of his teeth ,I though the Brazilian picked bigger more critical waves but the one he got biggest of the day he should've smashed that lip and he would've won Bells !!
Respect for JJ....but, for me, Filipe won!
Surf is great but there’s favoritism in scoring ... And that’s why hard to say who’s is really better ...

Brazilians are amazing in tiny shitty surf, but they just can`t surf proper quality waves and it really shows here.
