I use dish soap on my make up brushes, and plenty of it! It's the only thing that cuts through oil based foundation/base/concealer.❤
i go through my make up and beauty stuff every 2, 3 months. and its organized all times. i also clean my brushes all the time. thats veryyyyy very important
Lordy, that makeup brush.....girlllll! Anywho, use dawn dish soap to wash your brushes. Will save you time. Hope you're staying warm in this cold snap we are having. Love from Tomball! Wash your brushes every week. Dont think of it as a chore. Have a video playing while you do it. Again use a better cleaner that will work faster.

I tend to be a 9 on a scale of organizing. I was a store merchandiser for seven years for 12 stores in Southern California. It’s just all the training I had… lol. If I am honest, online influencers haven’t swayed me. I already had the organization bug long long before UA-cam was invented.
I am at least a 9 with a touch of OCD...I like for things to have a place and be able to find what I need...If I'm not using it, it gets donated or trashed..If by chance I need it in the future, I'll buy it then...A lot of this comes from my mom who keeps EVERYTHING just in case and takes things people give her that are of no use...It drives me nuts!! When it comes to makeup, I only buy what I use because it goes bad so fast..I don't wear makeup often so I don't have to clean my brushes often...I use a lot of disposable applicators if I do need to wear it..

I clean my brushes (with dawn)when I see too much buildup. Giorgio Armani is my current fave foundation 😁
9 for organizing for me. 👍I’m saying 9 because husband needs to organize the garage a little better.
I clean my makeup brushes about once a month. Sometimes I forget and go two months without cleaning them, but I do notice a difference in my makeup application as well as my skin health when I have clean brushes!
I clean them every week. I use a baby shampoo and it works great and it's gentle.
I cleaned my makeup brushes at least once a month. Sometimes twice a month depending on how often I use makeup.
Mom hack for cleaning makeup brushes… I use a good size flat brick Lego piece that I stole from my son.. big enough for face brushes but small enough to hold in my palm.. works great! I’d say I’m a solid 7 when it comes to organizing.. I love doing it but I’m NOT minimal and my kids are slightly feral 😂 Great job on the video everything looks amazing!
I do clean my brushes every time I do makep. I have a pretty hefty collection, with duplicates, so I toss used brushes into a dirty brush bin, then do brush laundry, when I start running out of my favorites. I learned to wash my brushes after each use back when I was battling with persistent, serious acne. Keeping my brushes absolutely clean really helped, along with changing my skin care, and always having clean brushes became an ingrained pattern I can't break. 😂
I honestly can’t rate my organizing lol. I think I am, but then I see so many others that look way better. As for cleaning my makeup brushes,,, ummm, not often enough 😬

10 ive always been organised even as a child .I constantly go round my home tidy drawers cupboards wardrobes people always thought i was mad but now its super popular to do this.As a child my mother always made me declutter my toys regularly and i used to love cleaning my bedroom and always made my bed my grandchildren would have a heart attack if they had to make their beds every day 😂
I am a 9 I think. My BF does not like clutter AT ALL.. I learned, ups and many downs, how to organise my home so everyone is happy.. And it saves me a lot of time and frustation. But It was a long and sometimes difficult process. But everything has a home now. Take care, Jess from Belgium

Great motivational video Michelle! Love the new vanity and nightstands. Ok, on the labels in the back of the makeup there is what looks like a compact and that you will a number like 6, 12, 18, or 24 ( months) that is how long the makeup is good for once you start using. Mascara I think tends to be 6 months and lipsticks I am thinking 6 to 12 months. If I can sharpen lip or eye pencils I keep it longer. Now, I try to clean my makeup brushes every 3 months or less. That one that you kept working on I would have given up and bought a new brush. 😂 Great job on organizing everything and I enjoy your videos and personality so much. 😊❤😊

I also follow Cas from Clutterbug so I am a cricket on steroids. However, due to some health issues things have slid down and sideways. I am slowly trying to get back to my comfort zone. I love watching your videos because they are so real.😊
Hi Michelle, I just started cleaning my makeup brushes. I think you're supposed to do it every month but I usually forget to. My favorite foundation is It Cosmetics CC cream in the tube.

Doctor told me to replace my mascara every 3 months... I happened to not let go of mine over a couple years so I have learned much lol. I told him makeup was too expensive to replace every few months, but he said we needed to.
I use my hair shampoo to clean my brushes😅works perfect❤

Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. I would say I’m a 7 in organization because I have my moods where I want to clean and I want everything to be organized. However I have my moods where I don’t care about organization and I just want to get through the day. I’m comparing this score to how I used to be in the past as well. 😅 I haven’t owned a vanity since I was a teenager so homary would be a great company to check out. I’m not big on makeup but I do love putting my bathrooom essentials on it such as my perfume bottles, deodorants, jewelry, and hair supplies. I love that homary sells more furniture than just vanities too. ❤ I have never gotten braces and honestly I’m perfectly fine with the way my teeth are. They are crooked and I still have one baby tooth in my mouth because one of my teeth never developed but I’m happy with the way they are. It just proves that no one is perfect and we all have flaws or imperfections and that’s okay. ❤🥰
Great Motivation Michelle as always! My organization style is about a 4 or 5. Working on trying to be more organized. I do feel like it helps my mood which does help improve my life. I’m not good at cleaning my makeup brushes either. Lol! As I’m organizing more, I’m working on that as well. I’d say on a scale of 1-10, I am about a 3. My organization style seems to be to shove it in a drawer and a closet so I can close it off and hide it away so the house looks clean in my frantic cleaning episodes.
And for those makeup brushes, can you use some dawn dish soap on them or will that ruin them? I honestly have never cleaned mine either so I’m not sure 😳
Fav brand of makeup is Clinique and IlMakeage…those are my go-to’s for everything!

I'm About an 8, I like things in their place. To be able to get right to it.
The easiest way to clean your makeup brushes is to use dawn power wash and it will clean and ride up. And then you let a mayor dry that way. You don't have so much trouble getting the concealer or the foundation out of the brush

Make up goes bad very very fast because you’re touching it with your bacteria hands and bacteria face and brushes so there’s no use in keeping it
Going a little crazy here. You keep spraying on the cleaning then heading straight to the water. Most cleaners gotta do their work before rinsing it right off then attempting to clean it. I wanted to soak it and clean it for you x.x also dish soap does Wonders.
I clean my brushes every 2 weeks, at least. I used hand soap.
I think I’m probably a 7 😊

Michelle, I had braces for 2 years in high school. My teeth shifted because I didn't wear my retainer. Im now 50 and started invisilign 6 months ago. I'm on my 6th month, and I'm almost done. They said I have to wear it every night the first 3 months and then 1 or 2 nights a week after that. My sister just wears her mouth guard because she grinds her teeth, and she said that that has kept hers fom shifting.

There are expiration dates on all your make up. Mascara has a very short life once it’s opened I think it’s about three months.
Why wash the brush when you can buy another one? I mean that's time consuming and taking away from your organizing.
Try soaking your brushes in miscellar water before washing
