The whole Diaspora is creative, brother. I just discovered Family in Iran, and you STILL here the African roots in their music. We are God's people, no matter where they stuck us, we sing praises like no other can.

Its a fact that popular music genres (Hip-hop, jazz, blues, reggae, rnb etc) are African traditional music created by our ancestors for spiritual reasons that is why there is a soul element in our music. We just have to embrace our roots and upcoming young SA artist are doing exactly that.

These beautiful kids are talented, these kids are gifted. They are all unique, they are damn special man! What a stunning representation of us! Being a South African you have an idea of how different everyone's background is here. These kids are uplifted, proves that it doesn't matter your situation art is able to bring you back to light. This performance is filled with light, I can only imagine the fun they had and to be on a stage with this giant of a musician of our time, man I am so proud of the Mzansi Youth Choir!
