I wish I had heard this back in August when it first came out. I'd have listened to it a hundred times by now. It's a pretty righteous jam. lol
I like her unique accents. Really nice to watch her playing with these cymbals, especially her stacks.

3:56 KNOW that feeling Anika...been there (that sigh at the end). ;-) It still came off 100% kick ass, so no worries! You got back in just fine...you know what I mean. Never let 'em see you sweat (not meaning literally).
Her style is great. Relaxed, in the pocket and mixing up the time sigz. The selection of cymbals should be noted as well. The dry crashes and the stackers go together so well. I look forward to anymore of her drumming in the future.

Why cant I hear the ride? :-/
Yep! Old problem: low mounted ride and just a pair of overheads. Well I never mic a drum kit that way: all drums (and the hi hats, perhaps X-hats also) have individual mics but the cymbals don't, just overheads placed to have as few phase issues as possible - nothing you can do in the mix later about the cymbals without messing up your stereo image big time. Add a darn pencil condenser to the ride and check your phase: solved.

Snowy City Because it works for her would be my guess. Visual appeal shouldn't ever be the primary focus of cymbal placement.
