Finally! The head is back home. It will be interesting to see how this head works.

Yes! It took a loooong time... Actually I went to the machine shop last week to pick it up. Then the owner told me the head will be ready next day... They had problems to get right valves.

@@hanssgarage1886 Ahh, that's why it took so long. A shame the machine shop didn't keep you in the loop on why it was taking as long as it was.

@@hanssgarage1886 I'm really looking forward to hearing this engine run along with it installed in the 145S.

Those little bits that you applied Vaseline to are called valve retainers or collets.
Also, stock valves are 42/35 for early heads and 44/35mm for later heads.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure this had 46 mm intake valves but I'll have to check.

Hans, with a compression ratio of around 10 and the new cam, what are hoping the horsepower to be?
Also, it is great to see your son assisting. You must be very proud of him. Can’t wait for the first test drive!!

Hi David! Thank you for your comment. It's nice to have my son helping me. It's not easy to get teenager to help but sometimes I manage to do that... :) I have no idea about the horsepower. I will use also 2x45 webers and better ignition. I will go to the dyno for sure to find out.
