The Gus Hoffman case is so so sad. It reminds me of the Amy bilig case. His mother is amazing lady. I did have to laugh when the detective said "low class establishments".
I don’t like how she kept trying to make herself cry. Those people really bug me for some reason.
Some people just aren't criers, Id imagine someone who could do what she did wouldn't be. But if you're trying to appeal to people like that, you need emotion, thats what gets to people. I kinda felt like she was just not naturally someone who gets weepy but knew thats what would get people who might know shit to feel guilty enough to come forward.

After this case was re-aired, viewer contacted the FBI, stating that Maria was living in the Memphis, Tennessee area. The viewer said that she was going to be at the airport on August 3, 1990. The FBI went there and was able to locate and arrest her without incident. During her time on the run, she had changed her appearance by dying her hair blond. She had told authorities that she was planning to fly to New Jersey to be reunited with her family.
Two weeks after her arrest, Maria was returned to Arizona to face first degree murder charges. However, while waiting to determine her mental state, she decided to plead guilty to second degree murder and was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. She was released in 2005 after serving thirteen.

Are you referring to Maria, the woman who killed the boyfriend? It clearly stated that her parents did do just that. Apparently it didn't work. It also stated that she was on medication and not taking it. The poor man tried everything and his family told him that she needed professional help; the problem is you can't just force someone to go to therapy.
@@michelleprieur1 if you can't force someone to go to mental therapy and that person commits a crime, they are 100% responsible and can't use mental illness as an excuse.
