To this day Antonette's 911 phone call is heart breaking, and scary.
Investigators now believe that due to the passage of time, Anthonette is deceased. If she is still alive today, she would be fourty years old.
Anthonette's mother, Penny Cayedito, eventually passed away in 1999. Before her death, the police had wanted to question her again about Anthonette's disappearance but her death complicated their investigation. Police now believe Penny knew more about her daughter's abduction than she had told as she had failed a polygraph test.
I agree!!! Also it's heartbreaking as to how little information there is on this case, such little exposure
@@vegetasolo1221 That's such bullshit. Polygraphs are unreliable as hell. No civilised society uses them. Just the US of A cuz they just ain't that advanced. Look it up. Polygraphs are useless.
I think it could be a hoax and the mother just desperately wanted it to be her...
Did they ever find her?
Antonette Cayedito's kidnapping was always one of the segments I remembered best from the show's original run.
I was a big fan of a the show as a child in the early 90´s and strangely never saw this case.
oh wow yeah?.. oddly enough wasn't a big fan but this episode may be the only episode I've ever watched, isn't that odd?
Anthonette’s mother Penny passed away in 1999, without any answers to what may have happened to her oldest daughter.
I don't think we will ever know what happened to Antoinette.
Oh that's horrible :(
Is even true Texas American torist
I believe she had something to do with it
Marliss Gross is almost certainly correct about what happened to her baby. In that time period, it was extremely common for doctors to tell unwed, young, or otherwise (in their eyes) "unfit" mothers that their babies had died, and then adopt the babies out without telling anyone. The fact that they wouldn't let Marliss see her own baby and they rushed the funeral so it happened while she was still in hospital are basically dead giveaways.
I was born only slightly more than a decade later in Canada, and something similar happened to my biological mother (she was forced to put me up for adoption because the authorities refused to consider putting me in foster care for a year or two while my biological mother finished high school).
shg stewart
Sadly, Marlys Thomas passed away in 2012; she was seventy. However, her other children are still searching for the truth regarding Mary Agnes.
I read an update on the case of Mary Agnes. Her mom passed away before she could find her daughter. This so 😭. No mother should be separated from her child!
R.I.P. Dennis Farina!
Its been 31 years since Anthonette Cayedito was kidnapped - is anyone thinking Jaycee Dugard ??! This poor soul, if she's still alive ..... God have mercy +
This little girl. So incredibly sad. I've never forgotten about her.
That is a LIE D199 fan!! My cousin has not been found. STOP spreading lies.
so sad,
Why are you trying to take attention from Anthonnette's story??
Who are you to take away from this girls story?? A white girl over a Hispanic girl, really?
if one of the sisters saw or heard anthonette answering the door and being taken, why didn't they try to wake up the mom? they just fell back to sleep and then acted all surprised when the mom discovered she was gone in the morning? also i grew up in the 80s 90s and when i prank called 911 ( i lived in the country, middle of nowhere in cali ) they came right to our door and i only called for a second so what the heck! why couldn't they trace anthonettes call? And also, notice that Epstein lived near Albuquerque NM as well? not saying him but sex/child trafficking is and was huge in NM hence why he built one of his houses there, he also didn't even have to report being a sex offender there. her case just seems so suspicious to me. also i dont think that girl in the diner was anthonette, it's a girl that was kidnapped or trafficked too but not anthonette. Why didn't they at least examine anthonettes writing from home or school with the note from the diner? it seems to me like they did not even try to solve this girls case, like they just put no effort at all. Not to mention the police did not even start looking for anthonette until the day after she disappeared!
Because they're children. You're expecting children to act like adults
It was Jeffery McDonald's father in law that invested a huge amount of effort to put him on the trail. This detail should have been mentioned. He told his father in law, he killed one of the murder, he later admitted it was a lie. He later appeared on TV complained about how unfair he was treated by the CID. That man is probably guilty.
I'm not sure about that. Two murderers admit they killed three people. That's pretty damning evidence.
Anthenette case is sooo sad
shout out to my unsolved mysteries crew!
Wow, half the show dedicated to the Jeffery MacDonald story. Barely time for the other cases.
good no ghost or fortune tellers
Thank God for the dire US judicial system... loads of unsolved mysteries
Was this guy obsessed with the Manson family or what??
I would have convicted him, too
I know when i was younger they told us to scream I've been kidnapped or this isnt my parent so they wouldn't think youre just a bad kid.
Guys, maybe there is a way to solve the Antonette Cayedito case. All that the family has to do is remember very very hardly of some of there long lost friends or ex partners that they've worked with. Then they just might find them or maybe the kidnappers could be their ex-neighbor or somebody that has acted very weird towards their child, wanting to raise her as their own.
"Acid is groovy kill the pigs" - i've always thought mcdonald's story, especially this line, was concocted by McDonald using episodes of dragnet as reference. Can't decide on theory re: helena's motivation to tell that obvious lie, though
she was drug addicted person, lsd rots the mind
I don’t see how she lied when she told it all how it happened and basically confirmed macdonalds side
@@HanginWitLucid Because she had a history of lying. I am disappointed with how Unsolved Mysteries framed this story. It was very poorly done. She confessed and recanted her story multiple times. A big issue is that her initial stories didn't match the evidence collected. It was only after she saw crime scene photos that she tailored her story to match the scene. Also, she knew Jeffrey MacDonald, so, it's not a stretch to say her story confirmed his - later, of course, after he was charged.
What this sequence also glosses over is the fact the witnesses saw her around the time she should have been at Jeffrey's house assisting with the others - who drove. Yet she was both there ... and walking around Fort Bragg? That also contradicts Helen, too, who never claimed to be standing on any corner or that she was separated from the group of friends who did the killings. They also obtained fingerprints from Helena and they did not match any fingerprints found at the house. Neither did her DNA. Multiple people also said that Helen did not own a blonde wig, and was not wearing a blonde wig that night. Finally, in 2006, DNA tests showed the hair in Colette's hand was Jeffery's.
The evidence is overwhelming against Jeffrey. He's a murderer.
@@JazzyUte Here’s my question, what about the witness that called McDonalds house? He heard a woman at the time of the murders and he said she sounded drunk while he heard things in the background. Why is that not talked about
How is this season 8? Isn’t season 8 from 95-96 with Robert Stack?
Yeah I dont get it either. I believe they repackaged a few hundred episodes with Dennis Farina and arbitrarily sorted the episodes by numbers and season. The farina episodes were only aired over 3 years so it makes no sense that there are 8 actual television seasons.
@@Romans8-9 not sure what you mean by three years. all the farina eps were taped the same year, and they released them in a huge dump
@@jakedoc4610 I mean they aired the Farina eps over a period of 3 years.
I hope they find her !!!
Omg that poor man is innocent!
That Phone Call Sounds Like A Woman Not A Man. So Sad I Believe That Was Her Calling, I Wonder If She Is Still Alive.
It’s possible! If she is alive I hope she’s able to escape her circumstances and go home!
I also thought it sounded like a woman
I was born exactly 21 years after Mary Agnes. If she's still alive, she'd be 55 this year.

Sadly, Marlys Thomas passed away in 2012; she was seventy. However, her other children are still searching for the truth regarding Mary Agnes.
The hospital took that woman’s fucking baby!!
Cayedito was definitely sold off by her mother!
Julio Santiago
Yeah sshe was!
Julio Santiago Yes I feel the same way about this case
I wonder what happened?
I mean what theory can one come up with....bizarre
No, this person can't be like Robert Stack he was the best for this show.
Dam McDonald May b innocent....2 ppl confesses? And the phone call too
And look at how many people ignored that
What's with the metal intro? 😂
32:30 "We killed the macdonald family...WE DIDN'T MEAN TO, things just got out of hand" hahaha, no, we stabbed them 30 times each, but WE DIDN'T MEAN TO KILL THEM. who knew stabbing someone that many times would kill them? just an honest mistake.
What’s sad is that Helena had details the police didn’t know and explained and corroborated Macdonalds account almost perfectly.
She should of screamed or ran in the restaurant people need to teach their kids that.
They should bring the show we are in reboot TV now from 90210 to fuller house
Poor Anthonette. poor Macdonald children and wife. How cruel these men are! I couldn’t even finish the episode; I’m sorry .
You probably should stay away from true crime/mystery shows since you can't handle it
i dont buy that these people killed his family, brutally attacked them, then stabbed Jeffery in a minor place. its obv it was someone close by the way they were killed, over killed, and then put back in bed and put the blanket over
WTH they kill all but him...makes no sense...no motive...
Perfect way to make someone look guilty. You know how the husband is always the biggest suspect in a murder of a wife and kids
why did was police department using a drug addict as a informent really!,!
He killed his family...
No
The lady hurrying off at 0:46-0:48. At 2:30, you can clearly see she’s coming from a dead end balcony. Staged. 🤣🤣🤣
Of course its staged they didnt get the real footage smh. And the neighborhood u see in the video is real.
😂😂😂 I see it funny
Where was the parents at ?
unsolved mysteries is constantly fooled by prank phone calls and bogus eyewitnesses. FUCK!!
Well Today DNA would clear mcdonald
So the poor guy was stabbed and choked and blind and memory us not that brilliant anyway but since his memory wasn't pitch perfect he went down. I'm sorry but the USA strikes me like a banana republic with the cherry picking of evidence, using unreliable polygraphs and what basically amounts to a show trial.
Watch the story of the guy who killed his wife then shot himself a bunch of times to make it look like he was attacked. The cops got this right.
Maybe she alive !!!
some vile bastard kidnapped her...but why....surely now she is old enough to escape now and find help...the prosecutor is an asshole and wont listen to the truth...the army investigators had no expertise in dealing with murders and to deny them access to material was a blatant cover up...the army and prosecution made a monumental fuck up but were not going to listen...the court system is well and truly fucked up and the prosecutor is a fucking asshole....someone deliberately fucked up at the birth because someone stole her baby...because the other baby died...
Jeff didn't kill his family period
Whatever you say, Jeff.
New forensic evidence continues to suggest that Jeffrey was indeed guilty and that there was nobody else in the house other than the family. Neither Helena nor Greg's DNA was found at all in the house. Their confessions were contradictory and repeatedly considered unreliable. The evidence also did not match their statements. DNA believed to have belonged to intruders was determined to come from either Jeffrey or the victims. The hair found in Colette's hand was determined to have come from Jeffrey. Other hairs not identified as belonging to the MacDonalds are believed to have been naturally shed (as no root was found). It is believed that the "wig hair" found at the scene was actually from one of the girl's dolls.
A federal marshal named Jimmy Britt later came forward, claiming that Helena had confessed to him while he transferred her to North Carolina for the trial. He also claimed that a prosecutor had threatened to charge her with murder if she testified. However, records were found that showed that two other marshals had transferred Helena that day and that he had apparently never met her. The reasons for him lying are not known, as he died before the story came out.
Other evidence not mentioned in the segment seemed to point towards Jeffrey being responsible. A piece of surgical glove was found near where the word "Pig" was written in blood; it is believed that the glove was used to write the word. The glove was discovered to match gloves found underneath the sink in the MacDonald home. Wounds found on Kristen's body indicated that the killer stabbed her with "anatomical precision". Furthermore, the evidence showed that the killer had lifted up her shirt before stabbing, presumably to better identify the location of vital organs.
When Jeffrey's pajama top was folded in the same manner as it was found on Colette's body, it was shown that the pattern of puncture holes through the garment was strikingly similar to the pattern of icepick wounds suffered by Colette. Moreover, the pocket to the pajama top was found in the master bedroom, and it was shown at trial that the pocket had been stained with Colette's blood prior to being torn from the garment.
Following the murders, Jeffrey told Colette's stepfather that he had found one of the murders and killed them himself. He later admitted lying about this because he wanted his stepfather-in-law to "stop bothering" and move on. He also apparently lied about who urinated in his bed. He claimed Kristen had done it, but testing on the urine indicated that it belonged to Kimberly. He also allegedly said that he felt "relief" that his family was gone. A separate group of four people were located that matched the description of the alleged intruders. The people were friends of Jeffrey's brother but had no ties to North Carolina. It has been suggested that he used their physical descriptions for his descriptions of the intruders.
The 4th Circuit Court Jeffrey's motion for additional DNA testing in 2016. Jeffrey MacDonald has an appeal pending of his request for further DNA testing. He will be eligible for parole in 2020. He continues to maintain his innocence.
Vegeta Solo omg i beloved the story, now i truly want to know who did it.
If there were 4 intruders in the apartment living room, who the hell was in the bedrooms killing Colette and the girls?
@@gotch09 Clearly one of them went back there to kill them
