Ballinskelligs Priory and MacCarthy Castle: Windows to the Gaelic Past

- Ballinskelligs in South Kerry has many historical relics and monuments. Two of these are Ballinskelligs Priory and MacCarthy Castle. Both are near each other and both offer windows to the Gaelic past, especially some of its religious and political aspects.

Kanturk Castle is a bigger McCarthy Castle
Every castle is bigger than this. It is a very small castle, but location ,location, location!!!
