In linguistics, homonyms, broadly defined, are words which are homographs (words that share the same spelling, regardless of pronunciation) or homophones (words that share the same pronunciation, regardless of spelling), or both

“A good thing can not be called a marriage.”
[meaning that this owrd sounds the same as it’s homograph]

As a noun you can find this word in Russian fairy tales and cartoons. It was used to refer to hares.

From the examples in the video, it seems like косоглазый might mean "cross-eyed", which is where the focus of the eyes is turned inward toward the nose. "Squint" means closing your eyes slightly, for example when looking at something very bright, or trying to read something far away. Is there a difference in Russian?

🤔 I looked it up in a dictionary and it seemed to be correct. "If a person or an eye squints, the eye looks in a different direction to the other eye, because of a weakness of the eye muscles" 🤔

I see 🤔 The problem comes from a Russian translation. We cannot really translate a Russian word 'косить' as to 'cross' because 'cross' is скрещивать. We don't say 'скрещивать глаза' in Russian. And there are all different forms of this word in Russian - косой / косоглазый (adj) = squint-eyed. So, I decided to keep the word 'squint' everywhere as I found that in many resources they use this term "A squint, or strabismus, is a condition in which the eyes do not align properly. One eye turns inwards, upwards, downwards, or outwards, while the other one focuses at one spot" www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/220429
But I agree that when it's done internally, it's better to use the verb "to cross" 😉.
