I’ve posted actual footage of Elvis singing this song Tomorrow Never Comes during rehearsals 1970 TTWII & it’s magnificent, he not only belts it out, his physical movements are so strong and well just magnificent! AND IT WAS A REHEARSAL! ‘Until We Meet Again, May God Bless You, As He Has Blessed Me’ ‘Adios’ Elvis Presley TCB⚡️TLC ⚡️
I hit like before even watching! LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! I absolutely LOVE the way he sings this! It reaches into my heart and soul and rips it out! Love your reaction and commentary as always! ❤💚
It’s always a pleasure seeing a sceptic / agnostic become a devout Elvis fan. 👍👍👍 Ultimately, you can’t beat Elvis: he was, and is, the best. I wonder if the gentleman’s wife is a fan? A wonderful day to all.
I stop breathing for a few seconds at the end then I laugh every time I hear this unbelievable powerhouse of an ending to this amazing song. I heard a reactor say one time " You don't just "listen" to Elvis when he sings ...you " FEEL" Elvis when he sings.... it's a totally different dynamic". Thank you Mike for your great breakdown...sometimes he can make a person stop breathing or laugh ..or stand up and walk for a few seconds because words aren't enough 😉 ...it just happens.❤ I always smile when I hear him yell " yeah baby"!! it tells me he's pleased with how the song is going..love it all. Thank you again Mike for continuing the journey with us...🌻 I know your channel will continue to grow and Elvis musical legacy will continue to grow because eventhough he thought he would not be remembered....his fans and you help make sure he will be remembered. Thank you🌻💕
Thank you again Mike, I knew you would love this song, it's one of my many favourites,so powerful, and ELVIS' vocals outstanding, and a beautiful piece of music,MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE😊❤
Keep it up! I absolutely love your reactions. I am in my mid 60s and always liked Elvis, but after seeing the movie and listening to his voice, I now have a playlist on my phone of over 500 songs. The rabbit hole is indeed very, very deep ❤
Another excellent reaction! Brings Me so much joy to see people of all ages in awe of his music . As should be music appreciation at so Many levels. Even better today than 50 years ago . Eventually You Gave Me a Mountain, Moody Blue From 77 different vibe from Elvis Snow Bird
Another great reaction!! Thank you . Maybe I think too much into this but it’s songs like this that he is absolutely incredible doing that he just didn’t get the credit due to him from the music industry during the time he was here, instead he was too many times portrayed as a bedazzled Vegas lounge singer . The man had unbelievable range and could sing rock, gospel, blues and country but its definitely great to see people appreciate the talent now
Elvis!! The King Of Music!! His voice is beyond beautiful! Thank you for reacting to this Spectacular song! You are again, Spot On with your reactions to his songs! You always say exactly how to describe Elvis’s singing style and his range! And yes! Elvis was definitely an arranger. Thank you ! Thank you! For listening to this one, one of many favorites of mine. Please try and listen to “I’ll Be There” And an older one, recorded early in Elvis’s career, but not released until 1960 or 61. “ Tell Me Why “ I call this one “ Raw Elvis “ Love the song, you’ll find it quite different, I don’t think too many fans know it, I’ve never heard it mentioned on you tube. Merry Christmas Mike and family! 🎄🎶🕺💞
MIke you have the absolute best reactions because you educate us at the same time on voice, technical arrangements, instrumentation...and I've listened to many reactors of Elvis over the past 5 yrs. I get a deeper understanding of his talents and his capacity to move us. Thank you from Canada.
He was an arranger. Exactly. Maybe a perfectionist but I love all of it. He messed up on the lyrics twice , but he stayed committed and sold it. I miss him.
Absolutely amazing. I would like to recommend to you the song - Its still here - Elvis sings with raw intimacy and heartfelt emotion. Accompanied only by his piano.
Just makes you feel that hopelessness of tomorrow. He sings from his soul and you can feel it! 💔 just breaks my heart!💔 no other singer has ever got to my soul like this man does. Thank you for reacting. Elvis forever!❤❤❤
Elvis never misses with any song he captures. He was our gift from God, whom Elvis has said to an audience member, who shouted out to him as Elvis is ”The King”, he quickly pointed above, “There is only one KING”. You gotta love him, a man with such humbleness to give recognition to our “King Above”. I’m so pleased you always give such positive love in your critique of his greatness as an entertainer. Thank you, Sherry 🙏❤🎶
After a few takes of this song, Elvis told his producer, Felton Jarvis, he wouldn't be able to keep singing the end of Tomorrow Never Comes. It would tear his throat up. So they got a great take on the ending. They then recorded the song over and over without the ending. Once they chose the master take they spliced the ending to it!
And that's the way it's done. God created the world in 7 days. On the 8th day, he created Elvis. God was showing off his best work. I have been a fan for over 50 years and this is his absolutely finest ballad. It does not get better than this. May I suggest his Gospel, which will "take you to church". .Where Did They Go Lord, Without Love, I Really Don''t Want To Know, Johnny B. Goode (New Edition 25th Anniversary), O Sole Mio and Rags To Riches. It is great you people are finally discovering this incredible voice and talent. They only made one like him...everything else is second.
Kudos to you, Mike, for choosing where to pause songs. It always annoys me when people pause right in the middle of a word. As usual, an amazing reaction to an amazing recording! This is short and not necessarily for a reaction, but I'm sure you'd enjoy watching it: Elvis Sings Tomorrow never comes (Rehearsal from That's The Way It Is) (1:07) Elvis always worked on a song with his core rhythm section before rehearsing with the whole band/orchestra.
It is so much fun watching Elvis with you. Great stuff Mike. What a song and what Elvis did with it, I particularly like the outtakes of this, he had fun with it and also was a challenge. What a legendary human.
I remember when I first heard this song, it struck me in the heart 💘 The incredible beauty and power of Elvis' voice are revealed in this performance for everything 💯. Elvis has never performed it at concerts, it's only in the recording
His vocal range have opera singers in awe!! Pavarotti was once asked who his fave singer was, he said EP,, why because he can sing like me, but I can't sing like him,!! What a compliment hey!! There's a rehearsal of this, but I think it's been over dubbed!! In the studio he was having a little issue with the last note, but he did it, he's just amazing!! 👌👍
Yes, my friend I had the great pleasure of finding out, as well, that there are so, so many gems in the Elvis catalogue that were never even in the Top 40.
One of my favorite Elvis song (I feel like I say that on every song) Love how it builds both musically and emotionally. I think it would have been a difficult one to sing and that it was very underrated.
Great reaction. Also try “Steamroller blues” (great guitarsolo from James Burton) 1973 Aloha, and “Never been to Spain” from 1972..There are so many great songs from him.
Love it when you have to get up and recover from listening to the master! Elvis loved a good build up in a song like American Trilogy (live in Aloha 1973) and Never Been to Spain (live in 1972 I think). I've also realised how easily he moves from singing softly but powerfully to belting the lyrics out - it can take you by surprise. For something completely different try I'm Still Here which is just him accompanying himself on the piano - it's really beautiful ❤
I love how you respond and reaction to these songs, you really have an amazing insight. I listened to the song so many times, and you make me really look at it from a different lens that make sme love Elvis more. i love for you to do "Summer kisses winter tears", and "long black limousine"!

And therein lies the problem and what saddens and frustrates so many of us Elvis fans. Far too many people only think of Hound Dog and Blue Suede Shoes and Heartbreak Hotel when they think of Elvis and they believe that that's all there was to him. So sad 😒😥
His pianist Glen D Hardin arranged most of the recordings in the 70`s, after what i`ve seen and read Elvis took part in it too working with Glen and the musicians.
Incredible as always and thank you! But I also saw a criticism of Elvis saying he faked playing guitar, yet Johnny Cash thought he was the best rhythm guitarist around and no less than the great, Chet Atkins has talked about how Elvis would come into the studio and warm up on the guitar, drums, and finally settle at the piano singing gospel prior to a session. Atkins pointed out that Elvis just had an ability to pick up any instrument and figure it out. However, to put a spotlight on Elvis playing guitar for the naysayers, I would suggest this: Goto the 68' Comeback Special and choose 'Trying to Get to You.' As I've never seen one man, with one guitar ever perform so greatly!
