These kinds of videos are honestly invaluable. I love when theory meets reality. This guy has been doing more for the Airline industry than anyone else out there hands down. I'm an A320 FO at a Major Airline and I watch these videos constantly to keep raising my expertise.

    Hello,
1)You said that you got Windshear alert while you were on holding.
As the reactive windshear alert works below 2500ft AGL, and you were holding at 13000ft, did the alert come from the PWS?
If yes, what is the procedure in that case?
I am asking because the windshear escape maneuver that you had described is for reactive windshear (TOGA, autopilot on, no config change, or 17.5 deg pitch up if autopilot is off).
    2) How long does it take to get an amendment?
3)How do you calculate BINGO fuel?
    Thanks for answering.

The windshear alert was broadcasted by ATC on frequency. When an aircraft reports a large loss or gain of speed on the approach they will advise all aircraft on frequency "Windshear Alert Runway 23L 15 not loss at 600ft" as an example.
Amendment can take between 5-10 min depends on dispatcher workload.
Bingo fuel isnt regulatory but rather a decision making tool. Therefore theres no set way to calculate it. Generally it's: fuel from hold to destination + fuel to alternate + reserves. But that's all technique and may vary slightly pilot to pilot

Ok, I didn t know that atc warned you.
Regarding Bingo fuel, it would be interesting if you can show an example in a future video how you would calculate that with pen and paper.
      Thanks and Greetings!
