Paradise waits, on the crest of a wave, her angels in flames. She has no pain, like a child she is pure, she is not to blame. Poised for flight, wings spread bright, spring from night into the sun. Don't stop to run, she can fly like a lie, she can't be outdone. Tell me the cost; I can pay, let me go, tell me love is not lost. Sell everything; without love day to day insanity's king. I will pay day by day, anyway, lock, bolt and key. Crippled but free, I was blind all the time I was learning to see. Help on the way, well, I know only this, I've got you today. Don't fly away, cause I love what I love and I want it that way. I will stay one more day, like I say, honey it's you. Making it too, without love in a dream it will never come true.
In another times forgotten space Your eyes looked from your mother's face Wild flower seed on the sand and stone May the four winds blow you safely home Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew I'll tell you where the four winds dwell In Franklin's tower there hangs a bell It can ring, turn night to day It can ring like fire when you lose your way Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew God save the child that rings that bell It may have one good ring, baby, you can't tell One watch by night, one watch by day If you get confused listen to the music play [Instrumental] Some come to laugh their past away Some come to make it just one more day Whichever way your pleasure tends If you plant ice you're gonna harvest the wind Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew In Franklin's tower the four winds sleep Like four lean hounds the lighthouse keep Wildflower seed on the sand and wind May the four winds blow you home again Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew You'd better roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew You'd better roll away the dew - roll away
one of the few dead tunes I prefer the studio version to live ones. Thanks for posting this, can't find all three songs together in an unbroken chain ;)
There are quite a few - I prefer them to the live most times unless its really well taped and then there's those that have no studio equivalent... but I like a lot of the studios
Thank God 4 LSD and thank God for the grateful Dead and let's thank God that the grateful Dead took LSD and thank you Bobby for a hell of a performance at the spear in Las Vegas with John Mayer because that was the trip of a lifetime
Absolutely my favorite... I can just imagine touring with them in front of the Great Pyramid! What a show! I wasn't old enough to see them then, I was like five, but I caught every show I could since 1990! Blues for Allah is by far quintessential Dead

This song just swims! It unfolds like jazzy honey! It spreads and turns and then springs like a kaleidoscope with surprising textures

In another times forgotten space
Your eyes looked from your mother's face
Wild flower seed on the sand and stone
May the four winds blow you safely home
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
I'll tell you where the four winds dwell
In Franklin's tower there hangs a bell
It can ring, turn night to day
It can ring like fire when you lose your way
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
God save the child that rings that bell
It may have one good ring, baby, you can't tell
One watch by night, one watch by day
If you get confused listen to the music play
[Instrumental]
Some come to laugh their past away
Some come to make it just one more day
Whichever way your pleasure tends
If you plant ice you're gonna harvest the wind
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
In Franklin's tower the four winds sleep
Like four lean hounds the lighthouse keep
Wildflower seed on the sand and wind
May the four winds blow you home again
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
You'd better roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
Roll away the dew
You'd better roll away the dew - roll away
11:53 of being able to touch perfection. One of the most incredible compositions to be committed to record. These 3 are a gift.
nice and proggy too
7:20 is perfection
Rock and roll peaked after these 11 minutes and 53 seconds were written and recorded
