    I did mine without a flare tool. I bought those brass coupling that you show and they had compression fitting on each end. It worked perfectly. That was 2 years ago and still never had any problems. No need to flair anything. Get the connectors with the brass compression fittings for both ends. Piece of cake. Keep it simple. 😀

      Hi John, yes, I have heard of that method and that it works quite well. But, I think it is illegal in some states, so chose to do the double flare. :)

    Man I wish local parts store sold this flare tool. All the flare tool kits the locals sell are junk
