Suzuki's are the most reliable cars on the market. We have a kizashi with just over 100k on the odo. Never had a single problem ever no electrical or mechanical faults.
Neat little rig and I love the period correct graphics. It’s nice to see something other than Jeep bodies and a shorter wheelbase chassis just makes it even more endearing. I wonder when we see some SWB builds using this platform.
I am really considering getting one of this for myself. I own a 98 2dr convertible Suzuki Sidekick and this one has a great looking and scale accurate version of the hard top body. And yes, it's a SIDEKICK, not a Samurai!!!!!
It’s a Suzuki sidekick. I got 2.5 minutes into the video and that’s it. No samurai and no geo tracker lol At least they put the snorkel on the right side of the engine compartment and decided not to put scale ifs on it so that’s good looks like a nice kit. I like what you did with yours.
Based on the running part of the video, it seems like a very capable and solid running trail truck. And love that retro 90's vibe for the finish (like a family members vehicle they purchased brand new).
nice to see the truck done and on the trail, another awesome looking truck. I need to finish mine, just have to add the electronics, but mine is getting the Tamiya Scorcher body to go for the off-road bug style.
Love the look and great details and decals. Keen to get this one being into Japanese drift and keep it all in the family. Complicated build doesn't some like best for beginner. Found a MST drift on the harder to build.
Tiny and cute truck. Looks awesome on the trail(I am here for the running video 😂). I am already imagining this truck beefed up with some wider axles, custom bumpers etc

Suzuki sidekick or a Chev tracker. Most people refer to them as a kicker. A combination of the two names. The Samurai was solid axle while the sidekick/Tracker was IFS.
Loving the 80s paint job! And in Europe it was a Vitara think that's maybe where the VTR part of its name came from! P.S. Chuffed about the UK licence plate! 😁👍
@@scalebuildersguild hey no worries. Good review plus think it's about the same wheelbase as my MN Models MN86K Mercedes G500 which with the addition of oil shocks is an awesome little trail truck
I like the paint and graphics, very 80s taco bell esque. I want that truck and the weird science machine in a room together 😁 y'all have a badass day 🤘
Absolutely love the way they going now including the small trucks as well as the big I definitely looks like a Geo now for the big question where do I find one how do I get it if you can pass along that information I would be very grateful have lots of fun with it my friend
That is a good looking little rig. As far as I remember the Suzuki samurai eat samurai was much more square square but maybe they made more models of it than I was aware before they changed it to the tracker
agreed. I hate the graphics. I remember the amigo's with the neon splash UHG! but once again you nailed it! they look so retro. awsome review and run video.
Cool little basic rig looks to have the scale look and capabilities of you average Joe's street/daily driven 4X4. May just pick up one just to cruze around
Fun review and the paint design is spot on, a genuine Canadian touch of the classic Hemistorm. Wondering if I can edit my entry to the sticker comp with something you mentioned here, being: 'plucky'. Perhaps in the GB license plate design, like the one that is on, what we call, the Vitara. Naturally, all for your consideration. As always, a much enjoyed SBG presentation, so cheers 💯
Looks to be a awesome little rig the motor combo you put in it almost sounds like a four cylinder. Just dont know what Marvel /DC character i could use for it
Say what you want This thing is awesome ! I’d build a Tim Hardy Suzuki Samurai (the beat up and dented ultimate adventure samurai from Petersens 4wheel and off-road magazine) Awesome build brother 👍👍 looks great ! One question I do have is which do you feel has better steering angles The CC02 or this ? Thanks 🙏
@@scalebuildersguild there smoking crack the Vitara is a lot big. I’m sticking with hard top Sidekick or Geo/Chevy Tracker. Love the videos keep up the good work Eh !!
Good video! Cute little thing! Your's looks great. Simple and effective wheel/tire combo. I wish you covered a bit more of your work with the body. 😁 Maybe it deserves a light kit? Waiting on a Tamiya CC02 myself. Some similarities on the chassis indeed. Do the tires rub the body?
@@scalebuildersguild you don’t get the Vitara in the US or Canada. Think you call them Geo trackers there. Unfortunately they are rust buckets here in the UK. Not many around much anymore. Great video as always!!!
I was a mechanic at suzuki, this brings back so many memories the way you painted this up 😍
Cool! Thanks for watching!

Josh, when you take the wheelbase into consideration, is it still 1/10 scale or bigger?

I'm digging it. Friend had a tracker back in the day and we use to beat on that thing. Brings back good memories
I absolutely love the paint job. 🎨 killing it.
This is just like a Suzuki Sidekick that I had in the 90s thank you for this it brings back a ton of memories... And as always awesome video Matt!!!

Sweet build! I had no issues with the manual!
Actually it really have some problems, but we will improve it in next version.😁

Good review Matt. Good Christmas gift for Josh.
body looks killer with the accent decals, great video!

I bought one. In Catalogne it was Suzuki Vitara i loved this small model. Very Nice job i hope make like.
(12:02) Nice "Endo" - with the brakes !!!! 😆👍
Nice Pontiac Sunrunner you got there!
Some white paint, all the blue lights Amazon has to offer, and some pink vinyl = you got yourself a Richard Hammond "The Police" Suzuki Vitarra.
Suzuki sidekick and Geo Sidekick where the ones I had up here in Canada many moons ago
Also they have TWS CTS VTR RTR now just to add a few more LETTERS

Suzuki sold it as a Sidekick or Vitara depending on market, GM sold it as the Tracker. These were never Samurais. Killer kit though.

130$ shipped to canada :/

1995! 😉
