Just saw this in rerun and think it was why I bought both of Bruce Weinstein's books late last year. Of course one has to seam all of his jumpers and cardigans. 🤔😏🤔 Loved seeing Yorkshire wildlife again. Thanks for all the inspiration.

As always, I loved watching your podcast episode. I can't wait to watch your tutorial on how you do your fair isle on your sweater making it flat instead of in the round. That is something I have never tried. I loved watching and learning about the Yorkshire sheep and watching them get sheered. I stumbled upon your podcast when viewing the episode a few months back on the EYF (I want to go next year!) and found you so lovely, interviewing and chatting about knitting and wearing beautiful garments yourself. I then watched episode 1 and now am hooked. When my husband watches something on tv that I'm not interested in I turn on my computer and watch the next episode in the row. I'm surprised about your produce! About every 4 weeks you have another jumper or cardigan ready. I'm now knitting a lovely jumper from the same book of Mary Wallin you made your Nobu out of. I knitted it and even had it on but was not happy with it. The gauge was not good, so it was too wide to my liking. I pulled it out and started over. Now it looks good. I'm glad you also pull things out when you don't like what your knitting. Through your podcasts I'm discovering so much more about all the designers that are out there. I will definitely trie Fair Isles as one of my next projects. Thanks again for your lovely Podcast and the inspiration I get from it, both Andrew and Andrea (BTW, my second name is also Andrea and my husbands name in Dutch (Andries) translates Andrew in English :-)
Another wonderful podcast. Thank you for highlighting the work of the Wildlife Trust; it was very interesting and hearth warming to learn about this project. It is sad to think of the sheep coat being composed:(. The team at the YWT have gone to such lengths to develop sustainable wool production business. I shall make sure to order some wool on line soon. It was neat to see the sheep being sheared, I was lucky enough to see some speed being sheared by hand using a hand clipper, no electric shearer, on some sheep next to where I lived in Co Mayo, Ireland. As a city girl it was educational.
Thanks, Clare. It is shocking to learn that shearing and "disposing" of wool are a burden to some farmers - because there is no reasonable market for the wool. There are lots of interesting questions - equity across the production and value chains, allocating costs for waste disposal (the masses of synthetic materials put to landfill), etc. We were happy to be able to bring out their story.
Love the idea of the 20 second video clip to show off some of the projects in the KAL. I would participate if I was not 2/3rds of the way though a Guernsey. Maybe next time you run a KAL.
WOW Andrew, you just put your knitting down to help hold up the garment.....how do you remember where you are when starting knitting again :) I am impressed with this web site, colour wool, textures and all the information from around the world. Once again another AMAZING podcast;) and I have a question for you when I have been knitting my hands have been hurting and it's been really annoying me do you have any idea on how I could get rid of it? I think it's metal needles that hurt my hands but I'm just wondering what you think it could be. And since my hands have been hurting I've lost my confidence of casting on another project because if my hands start to hurt I will have to rip it out☹️
