4:07 No, they were not tracking 'each other', but Lucy WAS following the tracker in the head, which passed through here via Thaddeus.
4:19 Well, it was only like the next day. Thaddeus isn't doing zig-zags everywhere, and is probably moving in a straight shot. Checking out this train station or whatever would be reasonable to stop at
Yep, that was obvious.....maybe not for her though.
Plus, one should not underestimate what a small area of LA this is all set in.
Especially since thaddeus is travelling SLOW AF cause ya know, his foot smashed, and he is carriyng a heavy ass bag.
The bombs did fall 219 years prior to the events of the show. The reason why Maximus thinks the bombs fell when he was a kid will be explained later.
A bit of it (just a bit) was explained here.
Great reaction, Im sure someone else mentioned but if not, the Pipboy tracker on Lucys arm leaves a trail of the movement of the head and the easiest thing to do is follow the trail, thus leading her to Max, the pipboy also likely had info on the head being stationary at that location for a time, which she would explore to see why it stopped there
OH the path is mapped????? I also didn't know thats what it was called. I thought pipboy was like a sidekick.
@@HannaHsOverInvested Yeah in the games when ever you had an objective on your pipboy, it displayed a map and marker on the location. You do see the map on the pipboy in the show. The Pipboy in the games also showed the players' location.
Since you mention dumb Max again, I loved someone proposed he has the in game Idiot Savant perk that gives you increased lucky results the less intelligent you are. Just love the concept.
This!
And Cooper/The Ghoul likely has high perception and agility, with many V.A.T.S. oriented perks.
As so much of the crew - in addition to Nolan himself- have played the games (to a varying degree), both S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and perks most likely have played part in character creation. Would not be surprised if they during the writing wrote up actual skill levels like in the games :P
@@beelzeduckDead Man Sprint, FTW.
While a wasteland, humans follow "safe" routes (like when you see an obvious path on a grassy field.) If Lucy's tracker shows North, she is going to head north and keep moving north. In that path it's not strange to stumble into Maximus (all 3 probably will take similar routes because they are safer/closer to the city/away from radiation or monsters)
The head was gone for a whole night but it has a tracker inside it's nostril. So if you're following the head you're bound to cross paths with Maximus unless Thaddeus was zigzagging on his way back to the Brotherhood. So as long as it's a straight path it's not really a contrivance. Especially if you consider the fact that he's got a broken foot and he's walking the whole way because that means he couldn't have gotten far yet.
As long as he was moving more or less away from where Lucy was coming from, if he was moving "sideways" and Lucy move as straight towards the head as she can she would deviate from the path Max and Thadd took and miss Max
@@christianforsstrom2222 Yeah, but he wasn't. In fact when we see him leave he's walking directly along the path Lucy was walking on, but in the opposite direction (since it was a tunnel he could only go either forward or backward).
In Fallout the terrain and hazards often dictate what path you have to take. So, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Lucy was forced to take the same route as Max. Believe me getting around some places in Fallout can be a pain. Then you come back 20 levels later and bulldoze straight through. Getting around the DC Metro in Fallout 3 however was a BIG pain no matter what level you were.
And plus, Lucy was already tracking Max and Thaddeus so she was headed in that direction; when Thaddeus leaves, he becomes point C to her point A, with Max having a solid chance of being a point B in that line.
Yep. Try booting up New Vegas with an untouched playthrough and taking the direct route from Goodsprings to the title city and you'll learn really quick that the direct route is not always survivable.
@@caffeinedelusions I learned that the hard way the first time I ever played New Vegas. Took about 10 attempts before I was like, "Okay, game, I get it. You don't want me to go that way."
@@JeffKelly03 I believe TV Tropes has termed the phenomenon 'Beef Gate'.
Oh my God, if head moves south to north general direction, one tracking it will eventually pass the route with delay period equal to summ of head start and stops.
Does that makes sense for how Lucy got here? 😅
While Thadd and Max didn't track the Ghoul, it was what Thadd said, but it failed, instead they just found Lucy's and Wilzig's track on the other side of LAX while "tracking" radiations of buildings and water that was accross the desert (between Filly and that area) in general direction where "everyone" was going to, and then took it from there..
So: Lucy tracking head and find Max: YES.
Thadd and Max tracking Ghoul and (only to)find Water and Gulper: NO 😅
the head has been gone for hours, but since Lucy and Max had the same starting point (filly), with max just having a bit of a head start due to her detour, it makes sense that she would stumble over him when following the route of the head.
Especially if Thaddeus moved away from the direction Lucy was coming from, then she would pass Maximus while continuing to follow the head tracker
@@christianforsstrom2222 And especially especially if the route they were taking was a major highway with walls on either side for some part of that route.
All speculation, but sure.... Why not.
@@HannaHsOverInvested You call it speculation, I call it not hand-holding the viewer. This show expects people to make logical deductions about the reasons for events, rather than explaining every detail. E.g, The suit does have an emergency internal release (shown in Fallout 4), but Maximus doesn't know about it, because he wasn't trained. He knows about the external one, because...how else would he have got Titus out?
All the reasons are there, it you actually think about it, rather than treating everything unexplained as a plot hole or bad writing.
@@HannaHsOverInvestedNot speculation at all, she quite clearly installs a tracker in the head and is following its route. Perhaps learn to take corrections and critism? Your attitude with this show is about to have me stop watching your channel overall.
Given Lucy is using a tracker to go after the head it makes she would go along a similar path if her starting point at the organ store isnt to far off
Yay! Ty for the reaction. Keep chasing those mysteries, this show is building to a good reveal.
Maximus, oh Maximus, he is the very definition of a character you'd say "Bless his heart", for all meanings of that phrase. The thing about Maximus is that he his flight or fight response freezes up at the worst time and he ends up acting without thinking through the consequences. But not every time. As shown in the first 3 episodes, this happens when what Maximus wants conflicts with his conscience.
Episode 1: He wanted his friend's spot as squire and secretly rejoiced when they were injured. The conflict left him feeling guilty for wanting the spot and making his denial of placing the razor blade so weak. Yet when given a last chance to defend himself he had no problem accepting whatever ruling the Brotherhood wanted for him including his death.
Episode 2: After the mistreatment by Knight Titus, Maximus felt him unworthy of the armor that Maximus craved so he was slow shooting the attacking mutant bear and slow about getting the stim pack after Titus continuned to berate him and the clerics and the whole Brotherhood. However Maximus didn't hesitate to save a stranger being beaten up or save Lucy who was being threatened.
Episode 3: He hesitated to answer the radio because he feared the Brotherhood would take away the armor he craved so much and later hesitated to kill Thaddeus seeing how much fear he inspired in him and could turn the tables on his former bully. But he didn't hesitate to send Thaddeus to safety while he faced the abomination alone.
In all 3 episodes, when what Maximus wants conflicts with his conscience, he freezes up and then acts impulsively without thinking it through. But when what he wants to do aligns with his conscience, he doesn't hesitate to act--as seen in Episode 5 when he hesitates to tell Thaddeus that Titus is dead because he feels guilty for letting Titus die vs shooting the fiends and saving Lucy.
Lucy was following the head down the train tracks. Thadius the squire left down the same tracks so no reason for Lucy to leave the tracks.
in the fallout games quests are marked on your map and give a direction to go on your pup boy (basically in game menu/inventory)
if her pip boy is using the same technology as in the games then the tracker would send her in the dirction of maximus where the head was before.
the tracker would say its farther off but could of ran into maximus's camp site due to the environment and the train tracks being the most direct path there
Lucy was following the head's tracker...but remember she's traveling *on foot* in a world she doesn't know, so, they'd all likely use the same roads, some areas would be blocked by crater, collapsed buildings and high radiation zones, and she navigate to last known areas of the tracker which was stationary for a while as maximus and squire made camp. Ergo, it's quite logically for Lucy to meet Maximus especially with him shouting for help ;)
"Lucy Halloween costumes", ironically, in the ruins in the games, you often find Halloween decorations, costumes etc, because the bombs fell (Saturday, 9-42 EST, 23th October 2077) just before Halloween celebrations! :)
"why is there toast in there?" Thank you! That is something that's bugging me too. (on a side note, her finding Max is quite logical if you realize she's basically following their trail and the head remained in that location overnight)
Lucy and Max are talking about two different things, shady sands was nuked when Max was a kid.
Pay careful attention to commercial in the next episode, it answers a lot.
If youre tracking a thing constantly moving in one direction, unless it changes direction youre going to eventually line up with the same path it is travelling along. It's not like she was stationary and just began heading toward the head from a random location. She would have alligned with their path shortly after leaving super duper mart.
her pip boy leading her in their direction over a distance is gonna put her on the same linear path they were walking. Specially since theyre likely to take obvious roads and travelled paths like anyone would.
My own personal head cannon is Max has the "Idiot Savant" luck perk from the game just changed to fit the show. He is pretty dumb but his idiot savant perk lets him usually come out with positive outcomes regardless how he got there.
Others have already commented on the ways that the tracker could have put Lucy and Max in the same place, so I won't. I will say, having played Fallout games a fair bit, that that station would have been a magnet for players, no matter what direction they were originally going. And since she had the tracker, she wouldn't have been too worried about going a bit off course on the chance she might find food, water or medical supplies there.
I don't find it a plot convenience when person A is tracking person B and person A finds the trail of person B.
Person B has the head is moving in North West.
Lucy is following head signal moving north east.
People with head stop for the night. Maximus is trapped and the head keeps moving north west.
Lucy travels north west and finds the camp and Maximus.
I really hope you didn't just troll me into engaging in the comments. If you did, touche.
[Edit] I am pretty sure a 1000 point suit of power armor would leave a fairly obvious trail.
I admit to nothing. There is a convenience problem in the show. Thanks the for the comment.
@HannaHsOverInvested oh I agree the plot is on rails. Just disagreed on this point. Also meant to spell pound not points it's a thousand pound suit of armor. Not thousand points of armor.
i think thisshow is actualy driving hannah insane, lol she seems to cycle through mania, depression, OCD, and frustration pmsl
Hannah sounds like someone who would take the short route to New Vegas. 😂
The Great War took place on Saturday, October 23, 2077. It's been 219 years making it the year 2296.
Lucy stuck a tracker up the the nose on the head so she can track it. She seemed to be following the rail road tracks as she did so, running into Max.
I felt like the show was rather easy to follow. Until I came here. And I was even more convinced!
You gotta give Max some credit for the bridge scene. If Lucy had listened to him he wouldn't have gotten shot. He may not me smart but he's been on the surface a lot longer than she has
"Show me the back of someone's shirt!!!" Same
I fully support you thinking Maximus is dumb because its fucking true. Cant wait for you to see the next episode. Its a juicy one!
I AM SO EXCITED
Yep, Bethesda published the official character trait stats for Max, Lucy, and the Ghoul and for Max, his intelligence is only a 4. So he's canonically pretty dumb, intentionally. And agreed about episode 6; it's my favorite of the first season.
People are saying Maximus has the "Idiot savant" perk in the game.
@@JeffKelly03 100% sure those numbers were made up on spot, Cooper (The Ghoul) also has 4 Intelligence and has 6 Perception, same as Max and lower than Lucy
@@hebbu10 I mean, Cooper did play a cowboy for a living. :)
4:13 Lucy had a tracker in the head, so yes it's likely she would walk that way on her way to the head 5:09 Lucy wallking>>>>>>>>> finds Max>>>>>>>>>>> on the way to Head
Why are we assuming the head is moving in a dead straight line? Is that likely?
@@HannaHsOverInvested it's a video game adaptation, so we can apply video game logic 😂
They are ALL after the Same HEAD so yeah they are all going in the same Direction. Also Lucy had a tracker on the Head...)
Assuming the head is going in a continuous straight line, sure... Lucy would find max.
Just want to clarify the dates because I don't think they will say it directly in the show other than the very first episode with the "219 Years Later" title. The current year 2296 and the bombs of the Great War fell in 2077. There is a lot of environmental storytelling in the show that points this out, but it is very quick and indirect. Fun Fact the Great War started on October 23, 2077 and lasted only 2 hours. It only took 2 hours to turn the world into a nuclear wasteland. Guess that fact isn't really that fun.
"fun fact" 😅 I am wondering if that was a lie! Tho.... The 219 years later thing. But I guess cause you're telling me this it was not a lie.
@@HannaHsOverInvestedto add to this the bombs that Maximus is referring to happened afterwards and was dropped on a town called Shady Sands that was the founding town of the New California Republic. Chances are Max doesn’t know much about the original war seeing as he’s an idiot 😆
@@craignellist7277 Also he was a child when Shady sands fell, so he wouldn't have had a chance to get a proper education on things. I'm going to assume the Brotherhood has their own twister view of things they teach their recruits.
@@JustLiesNOR assuming they teach them anything at all 😅 the Brotherhood definitely feels like it’s on the decline in the show.
@@HannaHsOverInvestedIt's definitely canon lore. The bombs fell in 2077 and the world ended. Something also happened when Maximus was a kid. The games are full of worldbuilding, so it makes sense that the show is, too.
"OMG, Max.. Don't be so stupid."
That's the only thing he knows though!
😂😂😂😂
Lucy probably did not go to a straight line towards the head, but followed the route the head was moving on. She doesn't know the area, she doesn't know what she's walking into if she just starts marching towards the head's direction, so she tracks the route whoever carries the head walks, because that's probably the safest path through the Wasteland.
That's what I would do, at least.
The woman holding a head fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed. This series as a bit of Dark Tower vibes.
I like this show because it lets the viewer fill in the blanks where it can.
The one blank about Lucy finding Maximus stuck I believe is that because of rubble/ruins she couldn't go directly to where the head was going so Lucy being smart decided to start at or near where the head was last stationary. She gets close to hear Maximus screaming at roaches and, Bob's your uncle.
Also, not being able to take direct paths to things is very accurate to the game.
The year that this show is taking place, when Lucy, Norm, Max and the Ghoul are in is 2297.
Omg that scene from Friends is a top contender for my favorite of the whole series!
Hey Hannah! That's my cousin's name by the way.😊 About Lucy finding Maximus, yes, it is convenient yet possible. I'm gonna try to give a reasonable explanation. Lucy is tracking the head. Although the head is no longer w/Maximus, I don't think Thaddeus got very far within the few hrs of leaving Max. Thaddeus did get his foot crushed, & ain't getting anywhere anytime soon. Lucy could still be following along a linear path towards the head. She could have heard Max yelling in distress or spotted the Steel Suit. Being the good person she is, she went to see if she could help, but probably had her gun @ the ready just in case. Seeing it was a Knight of the Brotherhood, she went to assist, & probably hoped it was the same one that she met in Filly.😊 Anyway, that is what I chose to believe happened.😄 Bravo, on not hating Maximus so much this episode. That guy is mentally & emotionally stunted. I forgot which episode it was when u asked if the games were really easy. A couple of reactors that I watched said that if u choose to play the game & just complete the main mission, u can finish the game within 10 to 20hrs of game play. But, if u choose to go on side missions like The Ghoul taking Lucy to the Super Duper Mart for more meds, then u can spend 100hrs/more playing the game. During the game, your choices affect the ending. I want to say I think it's like the Choose Your Own Adventure books. Ok, I think I've written enough. I really enjoyed this reaction. 😊👍
O, one more thing, if/when u read this comment, can u please tell me how tall u r. Every time I see u for these reactions, I start wondering "How tall is she?" U look tall. Me, I'm 5' 10" & female. The reason I tacked on my gender is because there are men w/my 1st name. I know, it's a weird thing to get distracted by, but I do get distracted.
Nevermind, I just researched your basketball stats. I knew u had to be @ least 6' 0". Anyway, from now on your reactions & commentary will have my full attention.😄
Lets see what we can come up with here She knew Maxs' location because when she checked her Pipboy before bed it showed that location. I theorize that when bully boy stuck the head in the weapons bag, that the bag would be Shielded from radiation and radio waves rendering the tracker unless, when she tracks it again he took it out of the bag that way she has a direction but not an exact location. love to watch your reactions thank you for sharing with Us 8^)
The first bombs *did* fall 219 years ago, there have just been subsequent bombings by other factions after that. Which faction this was that blew up Shady Sanda is still a mystery at this point ^^
in the official stats released for the characters, Max is a total meat head. Fairly good strength, very high endurance, but not really all that agile and dumb as a brick and very unlucky. Lucy is almost the oppisite with high perseption and agility with above average intelligence and luck, but she isn't strong. Lucy's brother has very high intelligence, luck, and perception, but low physical skills.
You said In one of your earlier reactions "so convenient that everything is within walking distance" and you even commented on how wierd it is that people keep running into each other. . . And all I can say is. . .ya. there's no cars, no horses, so everything has to be within walking distance in the wasteland. And so, even if you travel alot. There's not that many humans left outside of major settlements. you're bound to run into the same people at least once in a while. It might seem like lazy writing, but it actually tracks with the way the games universe is set up
7:47 Dammit girl these cuts and references get me right in the humor.
It's 2296 I believe in Fallout TV. Bombs dropped in 2077. The bombs destroyed Shady Sands when Maximus was a kid, and the Brotherhood just doesn't care to share history.
Shes trailing the heaf which means they will be passing theouthe dame path.
Just to clarify in as confusing a manner as I can regarding Maximus and his whole 'the bombs fell when I was a kid' thing... no, it has definitely been 219 years since the Great War. Also, Maximus is not lying about this.
Why Lucy found him is pretty easy to explain. We don’t know where Lucy was in relation to Maximus. If you can draw an easy to traverse line, like a train track for example, from Lucy through Max, the head.. tada!
EDIT: we know a bit. We know Maximus had a head start because Lucy was waylaid and Max kept going. Since they started in the same place (though we don’t know how far they left the line to get to the super duper mart) tada again.
hehe, so the Fiend's are chem junkies, not cannibals. Max really has an Intelligence one 1, or at least 3 or below. If it were going to be true to the games, intelligence of 1 would only have grunts and hand gestures for dialogue options. I really like that she gives her tagged skills in the first episode then we get to see her use them. Repair, Science, and Speech. IDK, as a pretty hardcore fan of the games that I've been playing for over 20 years; this show is so much better than I had hoped it could be. Love the react, can't wait for you to see the rest of it!
I love that your engagement bait is not even hidden. You're like "yeah people annoyed at me for not liking Max? Well I still don't like him, wanna talk about it? You do don't ya? Of course you do it's okay, comment down below."
The only winning move is not to play, but they're going to play. It's like you barely bothered to put bait on the hook, they kind of just want to eat a hook
Muahahahah master plan to get engagement 😅
@@HannaHsOverInvested you secretly love max and get the pacing of the show, we know like Betty and Norm know the other knows 👀
@@BigCowProductions I hope that's not true and she is being genuine in her dislike. I dont agree with her, but that's fine, it's just different opinions. Because if it is true, then it's deliberately being deceptive and trolling the audience specifically to make them angry with the goal of driving views and making more money. Which is...not a very nice thing to do to people.
@@Scyth0r I am not a fan of max. As I said in this, after ep 5, he is growing on my like mold. Slow and stinky. Hes still dumb tho.
Max is growning on me like mold - good one!
8:58 I'm right there with you!
Lucy was at Maximus's campsite because the head HAD BEEN THERE for an appreciable amount of time previously, and depending on which direction the Super Duper mart was, and which direction Thadeus went, passing through Maximus's campsite would be a natural outgrowth of following the head.
From the games we know Shady Sands was the capital of the New California Republic, a post-war nation holding up American ways and ideals. As for why Maximus thinks the bombs fell when he was a kid, it's seen here Shady Sands is a crater. Why? You'll find out.
Great reaction! You are so entertaining to watch! Keep up the good work! :)
It’s so entertaining watching you. Having seen the full show myself I’m really looking forward to your reaction of the next few episodes.
God im as invested in this as my first watchthrough, I NEED to see how you react to whats coming up next
I know this has probably been explained but some of the bombs were duds some people built cities around the bombs. Some people triggered those dud bombs and those cities were destroyed. Along with other atomic disasters that happened.
She probably saw where the head was on the tracker, picked the direction to go and just... ya know... didn't check again. It's not that weird, lol
Also if they didn't do some short cuts to get people together and move the plot along, if they really showed Fallout the way it is played most of the characters would still be somewhere off taking apart desk fans for screws and gears, breaking down bones for oil, hording every piece of adhesive they could find, scrounging for bullets, drugs and grenades, and then going out doing endless side missions and general scrap runs all to fulfill their desire to mod and improve their firearms as well as find better gear to keep modding and improving.
If they shot the series the way the game is played we'd probably still be south of Philly, finding random raiders to shoot and loot for scraps of leather to bolster armor as well as their bullets, and then grab their pipe guns to take apart for their spare parts too.
All to keep the killing... adventure going.
the bombs max is referring to is his home in shady sands when he was a kid. not all of the nukes were used in the great war 200+ years ago. he doesn't know anything about the great war, probably because the brotherhood is a very strict organization when it comes to information. and hes also kind of a dunce and probably didn't ask.
wondering why you're getting hate for not liking him? hes kinda not likable, that's an important part of his character.
Lucy was tracking the path that the head was on, which is why she came across Maximus. It was on the way.
Consider if the main characters aren't conveniently smooshed together you would have to wait longer for answers.
0:41 YESSS 👏👏👏 Such an EPIC moment!
This episode: “Tell me more about Vault 31!”. Next episode: “Tell me more about this new vault!”. Episode after that: “Tell me more about Vault 30!” Episode after that episode: “Tell me more about ALL THE VAULTS!!!”
😂😂😂😂😂
*GARY POSTING INTENSIFIES*
Hannah is one episode away from when I started to actually like Maximus. Not that I ever hated Maximus as much as Hannah seems to.
I figured Lucy had been tracking the head, following the same path Maximus and thaddeus were taking. The head had stopped at their campsite for at least a few hours. It seems plausible that Lucy would stumble upon Maximus if she was following the tracker in the head. I also cut Maximus a lot of slack. Yes, he makes stupid choices. His morals are ambiguous because he was raised mostly by the Brotherhood of Steel (not exactly the pinnacle of morality when the "best" among them-the knights-are cowardly, vindictive, selfish people like Titus). Maximus at least has a desire to help people... at least those who don't want to kill him. Then you have The Ghoul who was once a good person, but now will kill anyone who gets in his way (or sell to organ harvesters for a few vials of "drugs"). And of course, Lucy-a truly good person whose personality is already sliding into more ambiguous territories. Every character in this show is morally complex, which is why it so good.
3:27 I think the writers and stuff were going for a low INT character with Max. in the games, there's always fun runs when you do 2-3 INT and get ridiculous dialogue choices hahaha
Maximus is definitely True Neutral/ Neutral Good, he's just an insanely lucky (and durable) idiot. He said in episode 1 that he "wants to hurt the people who hurt him," and going by his actions so far (with potentially the exception of one thing), he's stuck to that principle, and-though he bumbles a lot-has tried to help others (like the chicken-fucker, whom he thought was a victim, and Lucy). I find it interesting that he lied to Lucy about being Knight Titus, but he's not very smart, so I can understand why (even though the circumstances are different) he's apprehensive about telling the truth after having just been "betrayed."
Nuetrality requires understanding of situation. And Maximus is just too impulsive and acts "on his guts" without even trying to undestand context (we've seen this once with "chicken molester" and we _will_ see it again). So he's more closer to "Chaotic good".
I recommend visiting Tim Cain's channel, one of the original creators of the video game Fallout.
Yes. It's convenient. The story is about the people who met each other along the way. If it weren't these, it'd just be others lol
After you finish this show I recommend watching the Storyteller series from the channel Shoddycast to fill in the gaps in the lore for Fallout. It’s a very informative lore series with great narrative atmosphere.
She is headed in the direction of the head that's why she runs into max because the head was there recently.
I liked that Lucy, Maximus and the Ghoul are imperfect protagonists.
Lucy is the idealist, but quite out of her depth when dealing with the culture shock of the Wasteland.
Maximus has ambition but doesn't have the intelligence or charisma to achieve his goals on merit alone.
The Ghoul has the experience and survival skill, but is more pragmatic than moral.
Lucy po prostu szukała łupów i trafiła na Maximusa.
Again, it's called 'game logic.' This is why some scenes make sense while others seem like the quirkiest 'plot armor'.
If the Thaddeus took the head north of Maxius and Lucy was south of Maximus, then Lucy could still run into Maximus tracking the head even if the head had hours headstart. Lucy actually confirms this in a very brief line that's easily missed when she says "I'm trackin the head. That's why I'm here. I'm mean that's why I'm PASSING THROUGH." She confirms she was passing THROUGH this spot on her way to the head, which she knows is not at the spot she found Maximus. Rewatch the video at the 4:45 minute mark:
ua-cam.com/video/Vc_FrSyGbxU/v-deo.html
She's just following the tracker the way the scene is shot makes it look weird but she's coming from the same direction as max did makes sense.
I love how even though max is super dumb, he is super trained to fight from the brotherhood that he managed to QuickDraw someone ELSE’S gun and take out two people.
Lucy probably could have too, but she probably wasn’t thinking it’s much of a possibility.
“But max is growing on me like mold” 😂
Ya gotta get the hits in somewhere. You hate Max like you hate Jayce from Arcane 😂
I think it's 2292 it takes place 4 years after the game fallout 4.
All the negative max comments really show the low perception and int of the haters. His failures are charisma/speech checks, you geniuses 😂
(Yall are 🗑️😬)
Edit: Sans the first 3 of this series, usually I love your reactions... However, Like you and your feelings for Maximus, they're steadily growing on me, "like fungus". 😂
It seems directional ..if you lose signal follow the path...
Hmmm, who is more likely to be wrong/confused/the unreliable narrator, Maximus or the show itself when it said "219 years later". What a mystery.
Players know that Shady Sands was once Vault 15, the inhabitants splintered off with two becoming gangs, and one becoming a small town. That small town becomes the capital of the NCR, a huge city. So seeing it all dead and nuked like this, it's a bit of a shock. But also makes it clear, there were yet even more bombs. Which makes sense in the sense that there are always more nukes.
Max has one defining trait: he acts without even trying to understand the situation. Every. Single. Time.
If Maximus and Thaddeus were traveling in a straight line, Lucy would run into Maximus while tracking the head anyway. Especially if Maximus was stuck in the suit at some traveling choke point then Lucy would have to pass Maximus on the way to the head.
Also Lucy might get attracted by Max's screams if she was just passing nearby (and this is another confirmation that Max put all his points in the Luck instead of the Intellect 🤣)
Hannah, You have to check out Helldivers 2... please 🙏
Well there's not too much to tell about vault 32 they're all dead! 😂😂😂
But what happened LOL
You're gonna have to give up on screeching for more answers about the background lore because the show doesn't give them. There's instead easter eggs that only people who played the games will recognize, because Fallout 1,2,3, New Vegas and 4 all take place before the show, in fact a lot of the things that get mentioned are there explicitly because of the events of those games. The players didn't roam the wastelands for about 135 years or so as 4 different characters for you to then question if that timespan even existed gosh darn it!
On the one hand I appreciate how there is no hand holding and explaining the lore in-depth and it is instead presented organically, which is a method I enjoy. However, on the other hand this method is used with brand new settings, so what people can infer organically is all there is and the information is managed by the storyteller; meanwhile this show has so much behind it that it can never cover it all organically without bloating the series and detracting from it's own original plotline, so instead a lot is just abandoned or hinted at with said easter eggs, placing newcomes who never played the games at a great disadvantage. It does give just enough to frame it's own story, but there's obviously way more stuff in the background.
For example: since the war, there had been NUMEROUS atomic explosions (number in part depends on player choices throughout the games) before the one that destroyed Shady Sands when Maximus was a kid.
0:00 i want to know how to be friend of Hannah ? nice reaction this episode
I was just wishing for something good to watch!
The 200 years confusion is just because Max doesn't know history (and is also dumb, but that's a separate issue). The Brotherhood literally only teaches their recruits 2 things: combat and salvaging technology. He doesn't know there was a nuclear war. So when he hears Lucy asking about what has happened, quote, "since the bombs dropped", he thinks she's talking about what he survived as a kid, the bit where you see kid Max get out of the fridge. He thinks she just has the number of years wrong because she's from a Vault.
Uhhhh... I think im in love..😍😍🤪😍😍😁😎
Man you love antagonizing the haters and while I genuinely respect it, it may backfire one day, don’t underestimate a resentful hater!
11:08 This is NOT a spoiler. The bombs definitely fell over 200 years ago. That is a Fallout canon event. more will be explained in later episodes.
SHUDDDD APPPPPPPP
@@KydraExhale LoL? Is there a problem?
😂😂
@@cookiedestroyer2801 yep
@@KydraExhale ?? Do you want to clarify?
For a long time, you mean one night?
Yes. Hours. And she shows up 35 seconds after the bugs.... were the bugs tracking something too?
I think Lucy saw the direction where the head was and start walking, since she didn´t check again to be alert she didn´t notice the head start moving somewhere else.
how convenient for max...
The I hate it
Hate it
Love it
Uh uh uh uh
Hate it hate it
But good episode
good summary!
Once again, I resonate with the love of the show, AND with the observation of plot convenience. One can always justify it with conjecture, but as I've said previously, it's just for the sake of moving things along quickly since there are only 8 episodes. I would prefer spending a longer time with the individual characters before they run into each other, but for a short series, it is very well constructed; despite sometimes feeling rushed.
There are no true "good guys" in the Fallout universe, maybe not even Lucy. Too much needs to be comprimised to survive.
Lucy is the only good character so far exactly because she was raised in the Vault (thus never had to survive in the Wasteland).
The convenience thing probably just bothers you more as a writer, because you likely work hard to avoid it. But there is less time to speak to the audience, in a TV show, so instead of showing her looking all around, or maybe spotting the armor from far away on some hill, they just skip it out of need for brevity.
