- Very easy and step by step tutorial suitable for beginners too. This is a beautiful banarasi silk saree and you will learn how to wear / drape it in basic style, also known as Ulta Palla / Ulta Pallu / Nivi style. This is the basic style of saree draping which one should learn first. This is also the South Indian way of wearing a saree.
This Saree is a little starchy fabric, little stiff, also called Khada kapra. See how to do the pleats with such fabrics.

Each drape of urs is amazing. Bt v south Indians place waist ornament on the top of skirt, place where skirt is tied up. This secures the both the pleats . While eating food it doesn't trouble. More over it looks good.
