Houses that were sold for 310 in 2017 all of a sudden are 450 AND still have gold shower trims and that ugly orange cabinet? No no no. We’ve been looking since May and have put two offers so far and both times got our offered either by a contingency or higher price. First home in Rancho listed for 450, we offered 475 with 25 day COE, and still got beat 😢 hopefully something bites.
I’m selling a house (my Dad’s estate) in Sun City, Roseville. The buyer demographic is different; 55+, no kids so summer vacation insignificant, many downsizing with larger down payments. AND YET! It’s so slow! We just dropped the price by $45k, just $301 a square foot. Hope that stimulates some offers and even bidding war. Thoughts?
This dude is making a lot of excuses why the housing market is slowing down. All of his excuses are 100% nonsense. Consider this: a survey found that 84% of those who bought a house in 2023 and 2024 "wished they hadn't". Just knowing that fact tells me that the those who buy now going forward will have a greater "buyer's remorse". Let me put it another way. Suppose you heard of a new restaurant that just opened, so you go there and wait in a long line (since it's new and people want to try it out). While you're waiting you notice "84%" of those coming out of the restaurant look very sick. Would you eat there?

We just put a couple into a nice house on Lariat in Sun City! When did you do the price drop and how long has it been on the market?
