- It's Show & Tell day! Jeff Maxwell (Private Igor from M*A*S*H) & Ryan Patrick take to UA-cam to show off their personal M*A*SH collections. You'll see all kinds of memorabilia - from action figures, die cast cars, and promotional glasses to scripts, cast gifts, and a chess piece from the Swamp. Plus, Jeff breaks out his original Igor hat! We hope you enjoy this VIDEO episode of MASH Matters!
Great episode, that was a lot of fun. I'm not a collector but my favorite items to see were the actual set or production items. It was really cool seeing Jeff wear the original shirt and hat from the show!
Glad you enjoyed seeing the items from the show. I really gotta wash that shirt.
Thanks guys, for keeping the MASH dream alive.
As far as the Martini disc collection, I, too, have it.
I would much prefer to have the entire show as a digital collection where I can watch any episode at the push of a button, but unfortunately the laugh track cannot be muted.
The Martini collection discs though allow the laugh track to be shut.
So I keep a DVD player just so I can watch MASH on disc.
Keep up the great work guys!
Congrats on 1 million. So well deserved. You both are treasures!! Thank you for this!!! ❤
Congrats on 1 million! And great episode! Fun to see the various items....I have a few of the items (couple figures, beer can, trading cards) My favorite though was the MASH vodka dispenser that looks like a blood/plasma bottle, complete with hanger and rubber hose coming off of it to dispense the alcohol.
Brilliant episode. So great to see you both and your collectables 😊
Question: Were the 1970s action figures from Mattel? I ask because they had an action figure at the same time called Big Jim, who also had a button in the back to activate his karate chop. It seems as if they repurposed Big Jim's button for Hawkeye swinging his club and Margaret beating you with a medical kit.
Reminds me that I once had a M*A*S*H t-shirt. Never knew there were so many toys, puzzles, games, etc. Wow!
Love seeing both collections! Ryan's collection has a great mix of licensed products and objects from Fox and the set! And Jeff, I literally gasped when you showed "Where There's a Will, There's a War" because it the only script I need to complete my collection of seasons 8 - 11!
So sorry. I can recommend a good pulmonologist here in Los Angeles.
@@jeffmaxwell7119 Thanks, Jeff! I have recovered now, but you never know when you'll need a good pulmonologist!
Awesome show as always guys!!!
13:01 Ryan, are you thinking of Bill Snider? 19:59 I used to have that book! It was a birthday present when I turned 12, I believe - the same year when that book was first published. I read it cover to cover, and I wish I still had it.
I have the same illness, Ryan! I am jealous of the awards and Clingers display! I've never seen Clingers before, but now I have to find out more 😂
Thank you for the peek into the archives! It was really neat to see all the licensed products no matter how tenuously connected to the show they were. I can’t believe Jeff didn’t show off his new and original versions of the cookbook though!
I had the M*A*S*H white coffee mug[sans the gold 11] for years and years. I had super glued the handle back on at least twice. Unfortunately, my mug has gone the way of many a mug. Great mug memories.😎 The Hi/Low on the Jokers is for playing a game called Spades. Big fun! And Tony Paco's!!Thank you for sharing your stuff. More stuff being saved in celebration of the TWO Millionth download? ❤️
Was one of you on the show, and one of you was a giant fan of the show? I keep forgetting. (That guy must be super pissed by now lololol). Hey guys - love your work.
I just ordered a Tony Packo's t-shirt,
Congrats on 1 million!
Ryan looks like Orson Welles..... :)
That was so fun I really enjoyed watching this episode. It was so cool to see your collections. It was great. Thank you both for another great episode of the podcast.
I have the martini and medicine DVD set too jeff
You mentioned a cough for a long time I didn’t read all the comments, but if somebody mentioned it, maybe not I had the same thing and didn’t realize I was having reflux and Gerd and they called Barrett esophagus they said my throat look like the inside of my stomach
Just watched Kentucky Fried Movie, and saw you, Jeff, who I recognized as Igor the cook from MASH. I saw that movie at a drive-in, I'm sure stoned outa my gourd, back in 1970 something. Nice to see you, as MASH has been like Xanax without Xanax for me for a lot of years. The faces you made killed me!.
Thanks guys!! I could have watched for another hour! 😊
Great episode but their always great love the information and the memories 🎉 do you sell golf clubs with the mugs 😂 yeah the golf club episode reference
Ok I have listened for a lot of time now. I love the video episode.
I think I have some die-cast cars. I'll have to see if I can find them.
Thanks for sharing, do another one sometime.
I remember those game consoles.
Nice show n tell guys! Bill snider is a very rarely credited corpsman in latter seasons. He was blonde strawberry blonde. I think he said, I’m gonna look into OCS at the final dinner in goodbye farewell and amen. Maybe he’s the Hawkeye blonde driving that jeep.
Good call! Yes, Bill Snider was a long-standing background artist as well as an actor.
This was a great watch. Jeff and Ryan I still have my Atari 2600 it works and Jeff if you c9me to Aus I'll play you at pong. Ryan bring the mash game and we can play it happily ;)
A wicked cough that has lasted six or seven months? Oh, I’m sure it’s nothing.
I did not realize there are so many collectors items for Mash, thanks for sharing them with us.
Love you guys!
Love you guys!
Hi guys, third times through I have deleted my other two posts. Maybe the guy that is in the jeep is the Private from the episode where the character gets shot and is a crook instead. I believe his name was Private Paul Conway.
The crooked character from Private Finance was Crpl. Eddie Hastings. Pvt. Paul Conway was a gifted chef in the episode Too Many Cooks.
Zdravím z čech, Jeffe Maxwelli. Dívám se na Mash každý den.
Děkuyu!
@@jeffmaxwell7119 Ah Jeffe, mě normálně vylítly slzy z očí ... Moc si vážím vašeho pozdravu. Buďte zdravý a šťastný, mám Vás moc rád.
(You’re welcome)
Hugs, Bob!
Good times. Thanks!
