You're doing a fantastic job but could some work on your own continuity In one of your own previous podcasts you mentioned Alda wanting the finale to demonstrate how the war left a lasting mark on each of the characters. Another episode of yours mentioned an interview with McLean Stevenson as having needing more money due to his divorce being one of the reasons he left.
Frank was scripted to command draftees, as the questioner correctly said
What was the Irish joke?
Jeff should be doing shows with the other cast members right now 💯👍
Great to hear your voices again. Were you on liver or fish diet during your hiatus?
This thing you do where you think you can just wing it and be funny...it doesn't work.
Glad you're feeling better Ryan! You 2 take care of yourselves, we'll still be here when you're ready. 🫂
Shouldnt have had the fish 😂 And dont call me shirley
Oh my gosh, this totally made my night! I miss you guys very much. I think it will be a great way to start the new year to have you back! I'm also going to watch season 8 (again) so that I can share my feedback. Stay tuned! You both sound great. I can tell that Jeff needs to get back on the podcast and crack all his jokes. Ryan, you sound fabulous! I'm so glad your recovery is going well. 🙏🏻🚁🪖🏥
Miss ya guys
Oh nice!, Ryan your voice sounds way better compared to the last update. Looking forward to the season 8 episode.
❤
You both are sorely missed! Thank you for the update..looking forward to the podcast returning January 1. You guys are the best. If you took a lot of antibiotics, Ryan, consider eating lots of yogurt, kefir and fermentated foods to restore your microbiome (intestinal bacteria).
What a great way to start the New Year.
We miss you and can't wait for your return, but YOU take care of YOU first, we'll wait.
was igor the nurse while ryan was having his insides turned out by hawkeye ?? or did frank leave his wedding ring inside ryan's duodenum ??
Happy to hear everything is (hopefully) looking up and getting back to normal. Can't wait for the new episodes!
I miss you guys
I think the bond was created specifically while watching mash because the parent was deeply affected and the child sensed that
Attention all personall i always think that radar saying that sal viscuso is that who saying that
I have a daughter named Reznick
I noo nuzzzzinnngggg.nuzzzung
I read about alda's dog tags really belonged to, it aroused my curiosity as to everyone elses, are any photos available?
I have regularly used the measure of "want vs need" when it comes to drinking in order to keep it under control. My mom is an ICU nurse, and she took that stance for a long time during the worst of the COVID pandemic. I always really appreciated it as a stance and love that a show that often revolved around or laughed about alcohol use (abuse)
I find I have to keep in mind that Jeff is 77, it's easy to forget. Hot Guy is such a great character - one of the best ever to grace TV screens. Hot Guy and Hot Lips. And Ferret Face. Rule #1 - young men die. Rule #2 - doctors can't change rule #1. A memorable line.
I remember being the only person in my family who watched M*A*S*H for the longest time. I was 13 and watched it on Saturday nights in 1973. My sister and I had an old B&W TV my grandmother had given us. Eventually it became required family viewing after the show moved to Monday night. I have many favorite episodes. Anything with Col. Flagg, of course. But my two favorites are Officer of The Day (the first episode I memorized) and The General Flipped at Dawn. I learned about your podcast when I was watching a special about the show on Tubi. Thanks to you and Jeff for doing this.
I will never look at that man watching MASH, the same way again.
" Family " keeps coming up.
I don't do computer so I'm grateful that this podcast is put on youtube, something I can manage. Thanks
She said that Mash became people's family. It certainly did become my family. I think it's impossible to come away from watching MASH episodes and not since the moral impact of it. Not so much the First episodes but as it continued to the end. After watching MASH episodes on meTV recently , I purchased the series and can now see how many of these episodes contained morality that I believed shaped my own sense of it. There are times when I honestly just want to walk up to the swamp, open the door and walk in. I can't, no one can but that doesn't extinguish the desire. Mash with its real life characters, worked its way into our psyche in a good way. I was not aware of the impact Mash hat on my life until watching those episodes recently and now I'm grateful for each and every one of them.
Big Mac. Because Pierce and BJ stopped Frank from burning books, and Radar freaking out on the bus while Pierce helps deliver a baby. Then, Klinger makes his statement by posing as the Statue of Liberty for Big Mac. I just love these people. And thanks to you guys for starting the conversation.
It seems fate would have it that Jeff's life would intermingle with mash in its real and fictional form. That's just odd. ❤
I find it hard to settle on a favorites even a month only those of the third episode but my least favorite episode is here. It's the colonel cracked at dawn I believe. It wasn't so much that Harry Morgan played the part that he should have only played as Potter but the way it ended with the character being racist in flipping mentally off a bit. Certainly enough for those doctors in reality to commit him on the spot. Just weird and I'm not one to be calling something weird.
You have to try the method where you're forcing water through your sinus instead of allowing it to drain as with the Neti pot. This way you have control of the water and you're not waiting for it to go through on its own, which is almost impossible because the idea is flawed, you're clogged to start with. The bottle method by the same company is a method that has worked for me over and over. It may solve your problem entirely. One just needs to get used to the mental idea of what they're doing. The rest is hydraulic force. Good luck. I try to be the best care anywhere.
This was a really fun episode! I can't help but light up and smile when I hear Jamie's voice. Ryan and Jeff, great to hear from you as well. I'm looking forward to the next episode of Mash Matters. 🎉
I stopped trying to keep up with all these different social medias long time ago so I only listen on youtube.
"Creamed weenies? What kind of person would cream a weenie?" 😂 ❤
I hope you will continue doing the podcast. I'm working through the episodes from the beginning. And here's to looking up your old address.
I was unaware that Mash was a novel loosely based on true stories and the movie, when I was a kid and throughout most of my adult life. Watching the movie was a constant readjustment that this had been first.
Good to hear from you Ryan, thanks for the bonus episode and get well soon!
Thank you, Ryan! So good to hear from you and that you're recovering. Looking forward to your return.
Great to get an episode and an update. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ryan!!!
speedy recovery and thank for the best podcast out there!
I think a lot of us would like to see what was recorded of McLean Stevenson ripping off for 5 or 10 minutes after a set take. I saw him along with Loretta Swit and I think it was Jamie Farr on a morning talk show and he was drop dead hilarious. Only a few moments of him had me cracking up. I'd love to see what was captured and survived the Cutting Room floor.
Thank you, Kelly. 🎉❤🎉
