Worked at Alorica for a few months before leaving. The pay was good but definitely not worth it, it's a soul sucking job and you always feel depressed unless you make it to a year and get promoted to trainer or some other management role and then you'll never get calls again and just handle trainees or a team that take calls. Luckily I was able to leave and go back to a job I was passionate about.

Sounds about right. I work for a well known security company and damn near everyday I get reamed out by customers for someone else's incompetence. I got hired in late August. Here it is the last day of September and I've considered packing up the office equipment and sending it back 5 times already. I will not trade my sanity for money. Call centers just care about stats. Not how customers are treated. I just schedule appointments. My husband's been telling me to hold off on quitting until I get another job. I don't think it's gonna happen.

Exactly bro the same thing i have experienced but the bitter truth is that our boss does not consider our efforts and pains after receiving these types of calls. They usually says that we are just wasting their call balance and their time That response of my boss to my extreme efforts disappointed me many times but I'm still working with the same energy on every next call

Then your manager cooks your ass for not resolving it fast enough, but in training they tell you to prioritize client needs? The whole fucking system is fucked. Broken. If youre looking for a job and this is on the list, take it out. Aint worth it. Work on some skills that are in demand, (check onlinejobs and see what openings are common, besides call center shit) improve your portfolio and land a solid client. I shifted to being a VA and earn 8x dealing with zero stress.

The lack of a headset threw me but yes calls be like that. You don’t do it for the customer you do it for the benefits and that check. Don’t make sales personal, it’s a one man show I.e. you; so get the attention on you and do what needs to be done. Those customers don’t run anything, you have all the answers and access to the things they want… you have the leverage even if they already have your service there is always more to be sold.
Watching this can be so relatable to my current job. Well Im a Cust Experience Specialist hmm just another fancy name for Customer Service. I still do face customers as this who is demanding and we get to see all sorts of behaviors from each and every customers. We will just have to bear all this because at the end of the day some customers are just using the " Customers are always right" card to play the game despite they being at fault. We as the employee just needs to suck all of this bullshit and move on because we have only one purpose, which is getting paid at the end of the month and we cannot complaint because the moment we stepped into this job, we got our fate sealed.

My team loves me for my happy personality even if 90-95% of my customers are 2-3X worse than this. Hahahahaha
