The AI revolution is here! Many gurus previously selling Metaverse or NFT's are now pushing onto you their PROMPT databases and it's all crazy! Should you go full GPT with OpenAI's Chat-GPT - now with version 4 - and simply use it for everything?
Is chat-gpt even good enough for UX Design? Well there are areas in which using AI tools will most likely get you fired and your business lose a lot of money.
AI of course does have potential, and I'll show you how to use it correctly in another video, but here are five red flags for chat gpt and UX design.

The ability to think is gonna be our biggest advantage, and people who realise this is going to stay ahead of the game!
Critical thinking combined with curiosity and understanding what we get from various tools.
Those who just paste without thinking will be left in the dust :)
This makes me believe that UX design will still be relevant few years down the line🙌
Oh definitely it will! Some parts of it will change along with the times, and sure there will be AI used in the work, but SMART people, critical thinkers and curious types will be in high demand (maybe even higher than now). I'm excited for it!
I always give my touch when implementing something from AI instead of just copy pasting the same thing. And the critical thinking is important too for UI, sure AI helps when asking it to design a layout for a page, but the human touch should always be there and it should be different from another from what is already out there.
This is great timing! Thank you so much for making this video!
I started my journey learning UX/UI last week, but after dropping the Google Course at the 4 stage (economic reasons), I decided to keep learning on my own and start my case study all over again.
I felt overwhelmed because I feel that I cannot come with good questions or answer others (which makes me feel like I don't fit in this world), so I decided to use ChatGPT to get answers from the product I'm working on.
I booked a meeting with a mentor and I was going to ask a few things about this and how right was doing this, but your video has answered all those questions!
It's a pity because I have to start over but I can still use the info to get some inspiration, so thank you!
If it is for a portfolio, then sure - you can use chat gpt to generate some ideas or even parts of the text. But be sure to evaluate it - not just paste it.
And be sure that the things it provided make sense - don't just trust it at face value :)
Also - stopping the google course at 4 is a spot where you get the most benefit from it anyway :)
@@MalewiczHype @Malewicz yes, it is a portfolio. Thanks for the tips! :D
And I know about the course, I don't feel good having dropped it, but I started it in a way I didn't like and another reason is that I can't afford right now a 45€ monthly payment. If I do the full course, I'll do it in the best way possible, not trying to save as much money as possible :)
Watch a couple of my videos on the Google UX Course first though - especially ones recorded in the last few months as they're more up to date :)
Great video. This just proves how AI will just be a new tool for UX/UI Designers and not replace any jobs. AI can really not be as creative as humans but the will be really useful for us to automate some works and we will be able to put much more effort on our problem solving and creative outlooks.
Exactly! We can benefit from faster data processing (which is what AI really is in the long run) but critical thinking that's context specific is not something AI is able to do.
@@MalewiczHype True ! This AI tools are getting me excited. Would love to see you review some upcoming ai plugins for figma like prompt2figma and galileoui or even genius from diagram.
Awesome use of the Dutch angle at the beginning
Thanks for giving me hope Michal 🙌
This is the best time to work on growing your skills and get ahead :)
Very interesting take you covered ❤❤🎉
Glad you think so! It's something people currently don't consider, just generate stuff, paste it in without thinking and there's really a lot that can go wrong :)
Thank You for these tips !
Congratulations on reaching 100K subscribers !! 🎉
Sir, if possible can you make video on your favourite Google Fonts !
That would be a very short video :) Plus Jakarta Sans and Satoshi are my favorite.
@@MalewiczHype Okay, Thanks for the reply.
Great stuff Michal! I agree with you, although I think if used properly AI and Chat GPT can provide great support.
Very, very good video. On UA-cam we're able to watch a lot videos about pros not cons a linguistic model like ChatGPT. 👍
That's why I want to show it from this side - smart people will always make it :)
Thinking is going be the biggest flex to be ahead of the crowd.
I just wanna say I am a little scared of the future. Some of my colleagues are using chatgtp to create cover letters to apply for jobs, and I imagine some students will use it to write their essays. I feel like everytime, nobody thinks on their own anymore. I also saw that you can make the AI write lyrics for a song, then use another AI to put music to it.
I found a good use to it, when I study and there are some concepts I don't understand well, AI can explain that to you in a much simpler way and you can even ask for examples or resources.
That's a good approach to use it as a way to explain stuff (but always check if it didn't make stuff up).
However, don't be afraid of the future - those "lazy" people taking shortcuts right now will be the first ones to get bit in the behind by reality when everyone relises they don't "think" for themselves :)
AI is just a faster interface to get information (faster than typing into google), but it's not a critical thinking, empathetic human :)
Sir, please make a video on "How to make Video Resume?"
Which tool did you use at 6:47 where you type comand and it edit and chage itself
This is my own AI tool that we're building - I'll share more about that soon :)
@@MalewiczHype be waiting for it 🥺
You heard
computer operator
Now it's time for
AI operator
I am using AI to generate cold email templates for me, and it's surprisingly good at it
As long as you read what it generates and tweak it to make it yours then it's fine :)
@@MalewiczHype Yep, I tailor it for the targetted business later on
That's the right way to use it - but always be sure you also remember what it wrote, as it's easy to fall into the trap of pasting without reading ;)
where is the outro :D
Had to let go of it sadly - the algorithm didn't appreciate 98% of people quitting as soon as the song started playing ;)
@@MalewiczHype oh god i was vibing on it
have you asked chat Gpt any questions and got some feedback from it?
no, I made a whole video without even trying it out once ;) Is it any good? ;)
Imagine an AI trained by figma. Because the product is web based they could train their AI on lots of real projects, everyone's files are stored on their servers. Maybe there's privacy issues but they could even train from public community files.
There are many problems with this approach though.
The legal ones are obvious - especially for companies that have complex projects under NDA's.
But there are even more prosaic issues - most people doing design in Figma are juniors and their designs kinda suck still ;) So AI learning from the average design (without having a way to understand what's good) would produce poor results :)
@@MalewiczHype Haha they'd certinly need to be selective on what it's trained with. Similarly image generating AI's weren't trained on low quality images.
Ultimately I think a lot of our value as designers comes from our creativity, business and critical thinking. AI could save us from some laborious work and speed up ideation, though making work easier could cut people out of jobs.
Interesting vid btw :)
That's exactly right! Thank you!
The idea of AI generating "User" research hurts my brain every time I hear it.
Yet many people push it as the way to go. It's mindblowing.
Why are you not a fan of using auto-layouts and and frames? Why do you encourage people to design with rectangles?
I thought I answered it many times before :) Auto layout is NOT perfect and in many cases it messes up the alignment.
I'm not against using it but I believe people should LEARN to manually align things first, get a "good eye" for what works and what doesn't and THEN and only then use Auto layout.
