Recycling in Montgomery County, MD

While this video focuses on Montgomery County, MD, many principles of recycling from this video can be applied to many other municipalities -- especially with recycling plastic films! Here in the county, we use dual stream recycling, but single stream is more common across the United States. Europe utilizes multi stream, having many different containers to separate out recyclables. How well and often resources (particularly plastics) are recycled is largely dependent on how well residents are sorting their recycling, especially in dual and multi stream programs.
