This vid gives me confidence that my newly acquired 1985 Aero 80 can handle itself with bumps and whatnot at speed, which was my concern in getting my first "motorcycle" to be a daily driver.
@@Kune35 no, but when I got it the electric choke didn't work, and I still haven't fixed it. I put my hand over the carb for cold starts. I've jumped it and wrecked it pretty hard and didn't really even scratch it. I broke the rear taillight when the rear fender clipped the dirt during a wheelie, but it glued back together and you can't tell. Nothing mechanical has broken. This ain't no Chinese scooter these are very well made
Thank you! It does have a surprising amount of power for an almost 40 year old scooter. Super light and low center of gravity so it can be kinda fast in the trails if you push it
It is referred to as the fastest 80cc ever (or at least of its time) for a reason. Honda even under jetted the main jet to restrict fuel flow and reduce power at full throttle, and it was still the fastest.
