It takes the average channel 22 months and 150 videos to reach 10K subs. She reached 70K in like two weeks, so her life changed basically overnight. That's how she was able to quit her job and become a full time UA-camr so quickly. What can I say, the UA-cam community loves these slice of life style videos. People are obviously drawn to her, and they can spend their money any way they want. I'm really confused by the developments in Ari's story. She is raised by her maternal grandfather because her parents are absent from her life. At some point, her grandfather dies, and she finds herself in an abusive relationship. She musters up the courage to leave her abuser, and seeks out her father (whom she has known briefly) for support. She moves in with her father and paternal grandparents for a while, but they have a fallout, and they kick her out of the house, so she stays in her car. This is where I start to have questions. She had been working and paying rent the entire time she lived with her dad. She got kicked out, but still had a job, so why couldn't she just pay rent somewhere else? I get that maybe she didn't have enough money saved up for an initial deposit, so it makes sense if she had to stay in her car until she could save up enough money, but after 7 months, she's still living in her car? She has worked all those months and did not have to spend anything on rent. It seems all her money has gone to food, gas, weed, gym membership, phone bill, car payment, and I'm guessing car insurance (some of those have me questioning her priorities). She decides to share her story on UA-cam. People find her story compelling, plus she's beautiful and seems well natured, so that helps. Her channel blows up quickly. She starts receiving monetary donations by well meaning people. Then, 3 weeks later, she has enough money to quit her job, she's talking to TV and UA-cam producers, she goes shopping at Mercedes-Benz for a van (but they only had used "janky" ones), and she intends to start a merch line?? At some point, it started sounding like living in her car is a choice. Isn't that what all van lifers do? I wouldn't consider them homeless. It sounds more like an adventure. Even if her story is 100% true, I think the line is blurred between when she lived in her car out of necessity and when it became her choice. It sounds like she has enough money now to get back on her feet, so she should stop taking donations. She can't be the pretty homeless girl much longer. She's a car life influencer, which is fine, but that shouldn't be funded by her subscribers.

Everyone is saying her story has cracks in it. You can be homeless and still have some luxury. I lived in my car for 2.5yrs. I am a nurse. I could not afford rent in the city I lived in. I moved to another state and I still was struggling to make ends meet so I became homeless, I lost my apartment, my credit went to trash, my family doesn’t live in the US, I have a college education and yes I was still homeless. Homeless is not just what we see on the street. It’s a choice we make. Let’s not knock what homeless is… she doesn’t have a house, home, etc. this is the new wave and it’s still called homelessness.

I wish I could tell you my story. I live in my car because of my wife divorcing me. I have a 14 year old autistic son , and a 10 year old daughter. I could fight for half of the house worth, but my son could not make it in a apartment, he has meltdowns and wonders. So I’m leaving the house alone, and still paying for half of the house payment voluntarily , and trying to save money by living in my pickup, so I can have enough for my own apartment or something. I pray all the time , that God will help me.

It takes the average channel 22 months and 150 videos to reach 10K subs. She reached 70K in like two weeks, so her life changed basically overnight. That's how she was able to quit her job and become a full time UA-camr so quickly. What can I say, the UA-cam community loves these slice of life style videos. People are obviously drawn to her, and they can spend their money any way they want. There are far worse things people can do with 10 or 20 dollars than donate it to someone who creates content that they enjoy. I just think it's weird that people are so triggered that they're creating brand new accounts just to spam the comments section of her videos. I'm really confused by the developments in Ari's story. She is raised by her maternal grandfather because her parents are absent from her life. At some point, her grandfather dies, and she finds herself in an abusive relationship. She musters up the courage to leave her abuser, and seeks out her father (whom she has known briefly) for support. She moves in with her father and paternal grandparents for a while, but they have a fallout, and they kick her out of the house, so she stays in her car. This is where I start to have questions. She had been working and paying rent the entire time she lived with her dad. She got kicked out, but still had a job, so why couldn't she just pay rent somewhere else? I get that maybe she didn't have enough money saved up for an initial deposit, so it makes sense if she had to stay in her car until she could save up enough money, but after 7 months, she's still living in her car? She has worked all those months and did not have to spend anything on rent. It seems all her money has gone to food, gas, weed, gym membership, phone bill, car payment, and I'm guessing car insurance (some of those have me questioning her priorities). She decides to share her story on UA-cam. People find her story compelling, plus she's beautiful and seems well natured, so that helps. Her channel blows up quickly. She starts receiving monetary donations by well meaning people. Then, 3 weeks later, she has enough money to quit her job, she's talking to TV and UA-cam producers, she goes shopping at Mercedes-Benz for a van (but they only had used "janky" ones), and she intends to start a merch line?? At some point, it started sounding like living in her car is a choice. Isn't that what all van lifers do? I wouldn't consider them homeless. It sounds more like an adventure. Even if her story is 100% true, I think the line is blurred between when she lived in her car out of necessity and when it became her choice. It sounds like she has enough money now to get back on her feet, so she should stop taking donations. She can't be the pretty homeless girl much longer. She's a car life influencer, which is fine, but that shouldn't be funded by her subscribers.

Everyone is saying her story has cracks in it. You can be homeless and still have some luxury. I lived in my car for 2.5yrs. I am a nurse. I could not afford rent in the city I lived in. I moved to another state and I still was struggling to make ends meet so I became homeless, I lost my apartment, my credit went to trash, my family doesn’t live in the US, I have a college education and yes I was still homeless. I hope it works out for you. But something is not sitting right in my eyes with all of this. I think giving up a proper job completely while living in a car is a huge step. I don't know much about UA-cam but are you currently making enough money solely from your channel or is it mostly now from the donations? I find the changes all moving unusually fast given your situation.

I wish I could tell you my story. I live in my car because of my wife divorcing me. I have a 14 year old autistic son , and a 10 year old daughter. I could fight for half of the house worth, but my son could not make it in a apartment, he has meltdowns and wonders. So I’m leaving the house alone, and still paying for half of the house payment voluntarily , and trying to save money by living in my pickup, so I can have enough for my own apartment or something. I pray all the time , that God will help me.
