- Hello there 👋
Welcome to the home of the Red Special Guitar Podcast.
In this instalment we are talking to Matt Netherwood, creator of all things Red Special related, from guitars, to amps, treble boosters and slate mats. I catch up with Matt and learn about his journey with music, how he found Queen and Brian May and what led him to join the forum and devote his time to making things for us all. Matt is the owner and founder of Yonderbosk Creations and has built some amazing things.
Also please look out for the giveaway in the episode! A Yonderbosk BC149 is up for grabs.
Enjoy ☺

Good to see/hear you on the podcast Matt! Keep up the good work 👍🏻😀
One of these days, Matt will make an actual replica of Brian May!!!!!
I’m putting my order in now!! I’ll take two… One 35 years old and the other 72!
Another great podcast, fantastic attention to detail from Matt, which is what it’s all about.
Thanks for all your hard work this year, the Brian may live pod cast was amazing, but all your vids are great thank you 👍🏻🏴🎸
Thanks Telekon80!
I would love some in depth video on tri sonic: how they're made, how they differ to single coils, and what brian May's spec is.
Keep your eyes peeled in the coming months..
I still need to get a set of Yonderbosk pickups! I'm always the last in line!
They are available again now!
Great episode, Matt’s a diamond 💎, the mad scientist he is 😁
I’ve edited my competition answer out as I know it’s wayyyyy over the top lol
Howdy! Love Matt's work. He's a great guy also! Keep up the good work guys!
Love this episode too.🥰
Glad you Enjoyed this Episode Peter
Booster Pedal Question - Didn't Matt say 7,000 windings? I want to think it would be less than that, but I might very well be wrong. I have always wondered how many windings go into each of the TriSonic pickups. If I had to guess, I would say somewhere around 5 thousand turns.. Would the middle have more than the bridge?
In the past, ive read the amount of windings was 7000 for each pickup.
The ironic thing, I think, is that the BMG Super is probably the way they would have built the guitar, had they not been limited by finance, technology and equipment.
Having seen a few I’m not sure that you would do it quite that way
Happy birthday to the show.
