  • Hello there 👋
Welcome to the home of the Red Special Guitar Podcast.
In this instalment we are talking to Matt Netherwood, creator of all things Red Special related, from guitars, to amps, treble boosters and slate mats. I catch up with Matt and learn about his journey with music, how he found Queen and Brian May and what led him to join the forum and devote his time to making things for us all. Matt is the owner and founder of Yonderbosk Creations and has built some amazing things.
Also please look out for the giveaway in the episode! A Yonderbosk BC149 is up for grabs.

I would love some in depth video on tri sonic: how they're made, how they differ to single coils, and what brian May's spec is.

Booster Pedal Question - Didn't Matt say 7,000 windings? I want to think it would be less than that, but I might very well be wrong. I have always wondered how many windings go into each of the TriSonic pickups. If I had to guess, I would say somewhere around 5 thousand turns.. Would the middle have more than the bridge?

In the past, ive read the amount of windings was 7000 for each pickup.

The ironic thing, I think, is that the BMG Super is probably the way they would have built the guitar, had they not been limited by finance, technology and equipment.
