Summary:
John reminds his fellow believers that they must test the spirits that they are listening to and see if they come from God. If they deny the incarnation they are from the enemy. Although there is an enemy, we don’t need to be afraid because we have someone greater on our side: the Holy Spirit.
Main Point:
We can be easily led astray by demonic false teachers if we don’t test their teaching against the truth of God’s Word, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to help us.
