I'm not one that typically cries when watching a show, but Koro-Sensei's death broke me. I've watched the whole show at least five times, and that scene still hits as hard as the first time.
@@trazyntheinfinite9895 While it was obvious that his death was inevitable, the way it was done just really tugged at the heartstrings. The music didn't help.
Akame ga Kill's Chelsea was too confident for her own good. She's a skilled assassin, but with most of her crutch coming from her teigu. By herself, she's incapable of direct encounters. Also, she seems to be capable of taking down slightly-above-average targets and below. But her method of assassinations fail to pass with the true monsters whom she was dealing with.
Ikr. Annoyingly lazy writing, the director thought he could make the show kinda deep, mature, and dark just by making random pointless death. Gen Urobuchi imitation total failure
I think that Ai, from Oshi no ko is missing in this video and that I'm not the only one who thinks so. After a whole month, I was able to continue the series because of how much it broke me.😢
I am invested in this as well, but I would choose a different death, that was more unfair, than AI. Don't want to spoil it to you, but man...that one hits even harder!
Subaru first death was more surprising than rem's death since most people back in 2016 went on the series blind when watching re zero, since most of us only know its gonna be another generic isekai (and given the fact that the series were only popular in japan back then). Unlike eps 15 where there is so many sign that lead to rem dying on the eps like her injury, or the fact that she is alone facing an archbishop was just suicidal move.
Honestly Lelouch's death was not really unexpected to me. I kinda exoected it would end like that even from Session 1 on based on decades of Anime Experience with "pretend villain protagonists". What surprised me more was Big Spoilers for some events of the show that it was only necessary because it seemed like the world was out to literary screw over every attempt to do better. Tried to make up with Shirley? Woops she dead and he became worse because she was also a morality pet. Managed to get himself back together after the "big explosion"? Woops his people betrayed him because they feel for the honeyed words of an even worse manipulative bastard who managed to use missteps from earlier events to his advantage. There are quite a few moments like that in the show. So in the end he decided to be the villain they think he is and dying while being the most hated douche on the whole planet. It's one of the few shows where I didn't mind the Movieverse retcon where he came back, I just considered it the writers throwing him a bone finally.
I would add Lafta in Gundam IBO to that list, her death was really out of nowhere and to this day till the end of time angers me to no end. She finally falls in love with Akihiro the pilot of Gusion gundam just to be killed for a plot point that was not needed. They started to build her into a character you like then gets shot dead while shopping. The only good thing was Akihiro did get to kill the one who ordered it before he dies. Good things come if you live long enough. Ram's death was heart braking and is still best girl in all of Re:Zero. Then the movie recons Lulouch's death so eh...
Anybody who has trained their body to work without relying on their teigu can surpass her assassination attempts
At that time, killing characters randomly with no reason feels kinda cool, popular, and giving a sense of dark/mature shows. Probably Akame Ga Kill was influenced by this trend.
how was chelsea on the list? she was around for like 4-5 episodes and by that time the show had shown it wasnt afraid of killing MC's tatsumi was more of a shock considering he was basically the MC for the entire show.
this list is stupid. the priest father in blue exorcist? that happened at the very beginning of the show how was it a surprise?? i have to say man you need to be able to predict shows better..
Euphy's death was so stupid. That was probably one of the most 'how do i continue this story' pivotal writing I've ever seen. Otherwise the entirety of Code Geass was god tier.
It honestly drives me a bit crazy when people say Tekkadan failed when they were backstabbed and sacrificed on the altar of political convenience. Here's the thing... dude named them Tekkadan in the first place as it's the Iron Flower That Blooms Twice. The survivors found better destinies. The Princess got Martian independence and the new political realities meant Gjallarhorn had to enact the social measures Tekkadan had fought for. Tekkadan did bloom again.
Neji it so damn stupid the fact that he used his body as shield to protect a Naruto clone and he didn't used his jutsu which his clan famous for defend, I totally believe the create of Naruto was bully with the studio like I totally believe a theory that there was suppose be more death in the main cast but the studio refuse and he was only allow to choice one person and that was Neji that why the ending suck so badly
imagine if they didnt use the dainsleave on the gundams none of them whould of survived the soldiers i mean but still if they knew i think mikazuki atleast could of dodged them
Lelouch killed Euphy because he was stupid enough to Geass her into inflicting a massacre. I'm sure his strategic mindset called for the sealing of that breach of secrecy had she blurted out about the Geass in her guilt, should that "all the Japanese" line actually be satisfied by the killing of all the "Elevens" in town. (At worst, that Geass might have been global. Lelouch, you DUMBASS.) Mostly, though, he didn't want her to live with the guilt, even if it wasn't her choice, something he was trying to explain when this started. I'll just add that the first seed of his suicide run endgame was probably planted right then.
Like, I was hoping Sasuke would understand Itachi's true intentions and they'd reunite. After all, that's what usually happens in most Shonen series. Characters usually "almost" die and then just come back. But then again, in retrospect, I should've added Jiraya instead of Itachi.
@@AnimeEverythingOnline Jiraya was indeed seriously unexpected; at least at that moment in time and in that way. Like... I couild expect a heroic sacrifice of the Master to keep the promising student and hero of the story alive to give us all the happy ending; but.... DAMN.
