Sadly a lot of older wrestlers had issues with pain killers, Kurt Angle is another big example besides an obvious answer. Always been glad Vince has been very considerate with his talent when they have something like this they're going through. Besides what he does with the brand, the increasing care he has for them is amazing now. Wish they always had the system in place to protect wrestlers from abusing pain killers way sooner.

I work in the field. Tbh guys like him are typically the ones that are the most successful in recovery. Guys that are successful and have full lives but just picked up a bad habit along the line. The ones that very rarely get their lives back are the ones that have been in "the void" as I like to call it for too long. It just breaks a person physically, mentally, and spiritually in a way that is almost impossible to come back from. Just a PSA to take care of your problem sooner rather than later, when it takes everything good away in your life and gets you cornered and alone.
