It's like HOME possesses the part of the brain that stores nostalgia and good vibes
I think it’s because the instrumentation is similar to that used in older video games
why do you think he name himself "HOME"? It makes us feel like we are . . . home. Back to the times where there was no care, no worries, and no responsibilities.
Why is every song this guy makes good.
because he uses the most sublime chords in a diatonic major sequence, usually. this song is based off of 4, 5 and 6
4 and five are relative to 2 and 1 which is these chords are included in a song (2, 4 and 6) the song will be very catchy by default
could you elaborate on this? i've only just been reading about music theory, the chapter that had "diatonic" stuff in it was a bit confusing but its not entirely lost on me;
when you say 4, 5, and 6 what does that mean? trying to learn from people that know music well
the numbers are the chord's position in a scale... diatonic is a type of scale... in the C MAJOR diatonic scale it's technically all the white keys on a piano, and the numbers represent the root note of each chord and it's position or "interval" as it's called. the 4th note in the
c major scale for instance is F, making F the 4, G would be the 5, and A would be 6... and so on....
The smell of the plastic on a new gameboy cartridge. The sense of wonder on what's behind the pixel backgrounds to those steady gameboy osts.
Funny how this kind of music can make you miss childhood. Sounds amazing.
It's lonely. This song seems to make people happy but for some reason it does not do the same for me. Not that it's a bad song; it's just that it's sort of happiness is too bittersweet to me, weighing toward the sad. It's nostalgia that makes you remember that you can't go back, or that you were happy while your family was poor. That sort of feeling.
CM
Don't worry, it's a fair and accurate description, the residual effect that you describe is quite appropriate and shared by others. If you read comments in other uploads, you'll see you're not alone. I know it's not much but I hope that helps a bit.
CM its true, I am alone but when i listen to his music i feel happy, happy in my sadness. It feels great
This is one of those songs that you've never heard before, but you already know it
so sick ugh i'm in love
I think you misinterpreted the text then because you're probably angry on the inside
Firecraft Pyro
God forbid people talking about what they want without offending anyone
This art reminds me of the content of some 80's era Scientology book.
YOU DONT SAY SHERLOK :D
its synthwave, a genre with synth and beats of the 80s
@@michaelatorn8380 The comment said "80's Scientology" not just "80's", dumbass
@@michaelatorn8380 MEMER, WE GOT A MEMER HERE! This guy plays amungus fungus guys
This song reminds me of the song that would play from a box attached to my Christmas lights when I was a kid. Oh man great times, I love the times as a little kid, not that growing up sucks but I was so much happier back then. I didn't need a whole lot to truly be happy back then.
Edit: Hi guys i wrote this comment 2 years ago and muted it because of the notifications. To give an update on myself, I've changed from when i wrote that comment and I'm much happier, i still have a long way to go in life, but i lost that cloud looming over my head and even found God. I love you chill guys and girls and i still love this music. I was 18 when i originally posted this comment. Godbless you and your loved ones.
P.S. I wasn't super depresed when i wrote the comment i was just feeling nostalgic and emotional and wanted to share my feelings.
+PGT Films. I agree so many people give in nostalgia and that's a sort of selective memory. people should be happy now not relying on the past not saying the past is not good
I subscribed to LuigiDonatello back when The Kung Fury OST was released on his channel in early 2015.
Some months ago I discovered Simpsonwave and HOME in general (since his music is really attached to the genre). And I discover that Donatello has already uploaded HOME.
You are the man.
Since 2014, together with Airglow, to recreate that old Com Truise sound
I had no idea Kung Fury and Donatello were related! The crazy thing about this is that I rewatched Kung Fury like 20 minutes ago to show it to a friend and then listend to Mackintosh420 before the youtube line up brought me here and showed me your comment :D
Simpson wave? i know what it is but this sounds like maniacwave (synthwave subgenre)
Thank you luigiDonatello for filling the Maniac Synth shaped hole in my heart. You are awesome!
I know :( I wish I had found you sooner! Having both of you would have been great! No hard feelings, you are great :P
He’s made so much music I didn’t even know- and all of it evokes some sort of nostalgia or emotion or something else, it’s amazing
synthwave revival, keep the funk coming
this is great study music
This bring me memories of a summer 6 years ago... I was in a boat in Ibiza, looking to the sunset and listening to this song... Unforgettable memories!!!
deeply in love with this
Did HOME grow up in the 80's? I think so...
-West
Adam West Mayor West, how will listening to HOME's hits affect your administration in Quahog?
This song really is an important part of my life. And it'll always be
some home songs i like that have similar vibes to this one
home - dark star
home - sunshower
home - resonance
home - descender
home - bright lights in silent rooms
home - carrier wave
home - byzantium
and more, go listen to the discography
it feels like forever since i last listened to this song and it brings back so many good memories
This is making me think of Pokemon diamond on my old Dsi.. damn the memories :)
Paper Mario meets Earthbound, with an 80's Synth Revival soundtrack, make it happen Nintendo.
I love Mother 3 as much as Earthbound. Still waiting on the fan game Mother 4. T_T
Although they may be veering away from completing mother 4, it'll still have the thoughts and feelings from the games. It'll be like it but not like it. So I'd still give a try whenever it comes out. ^-^
What a great tune! It reminds me of those early Saturday morning when my brother and I would play Nintendo before Mom and Dad woke up. Good times, great memories.
Finally I found it. I searched for over 3 weeks for it.
How *A E S T H E T I C* is this?

Home is currently working on a new album and I'm so excited!!
@@zawny5343 no name he just mentioned something on his Twitter acc but idk how it is going tbf probably not gonna be released for a while
This is the type of music you want to get into your car. Fill it up with gas and just drive and free your mind.
Yeah it's the best way to experience the sensation of those synthwave/chillwave songs.Or you can listen to them with headphones, that works too.
I cannot explain Home's older music all makes your spirit venture from your physical and you just feel yourself moving when you hear it

now to remember early childhood and be sad
Used to listen to heavy metal, I've converted :D i love this music too much.
My dad’s constantly moving around for job opportunities, and that being said, he usually rolls around the tele looking for anything seemingly interesting because of his free time.
Today, I showed him this song and he was considering the possibility that this was from the PBS station because of the backgrounds or something.
I really liked that idea because it reminded me of the peak of my childhood, which was bumbling around Sesame Street on PBS Kids. I finally knew what to align this aesthetic nostalgia with.
Literally resets my mind. I think of something else and then I hear this. I instantly focus on this song
Whos still Here?
This Song reminds me of my childhood, memories and nostologia. when im hearing this im happy and crying beacuse how much i changed and i want to go on my bike and drive somewere with that music on
when the feels are too good👌👌👌
this song is so happy and upbeat but i can't help but feel sad because of the strong nostalgic vibes it gives me
Right now i have a lot of changes in my life. I felt so upset with them, but since I listened to this song I started to change my way of thinking about them. I feel more optimistic. I know Vaporwave brings nostalgia, but in this case it brings me joy.
beginning reminds me of those old education videos the teacher used to wheel out for class.
This song is flying down the high way at 3 am in an 80's themed cyber punk vaporwave utopia with your friends in a delorian with the top down and the wind in your hair. The night is still young we all say as we come to a slow down to take an off ramp. We could still drive by the beach and look out. And that's what we will do, here we are at the apex of our lives and having the time of our lives. "Hop in man" your friends say as they get back in and plan to blast the radio into the wee hours of the morning and pass out at the house in complete bliss.
oh shit like not even 20 seconds in and you already know you are HOME!
Rainbow on my eyebrows, lollipops in my eyes, raining flowers till the night, what a candy-like eargasmic track
please go come back home we miss you. its been hard without you.
I remember hearing this at 7. I'm now 12, this randomly got into my mind.
Why does this song make me feel so warm and satisfied?? 😩💗
why this song is not featured in tron : legacy?
Lunatica Mauerman Lmao, I agree. The only good part was when Daft Punk showed up
This song makes me feel warm and it also ignites feelings of longing and optimism in me. good stuff.
you listen to this music
You overflow with determination and good feelings.
Happy to see that my favourite song has 3mil views!
Resonance is great and all, but this is one of his best.
The way life was back then when this video was uploaded. And how much has changed now. Those were some good times
these kinds of songs give me nostalgia from the 2000s when i was a little kid despite them being made to give people 80s and 90s nostalgia its probably cause my mom likes alot of 80s and 90s pop culture and movies
Everytime I play this song, reminds me of those scan lines on those old CRT tv's I used to watch movies on.
Reminds me of basic training. I ended up being there way too long because I got recycled and i would stay up at night and play this in my head to calm myself. At that point I didn’t know when I was going home, if my girlfriend was still with me, I didn’t know shit. Brings back a lot of feelings to hear this song.
Dude... 4 or 5 songs of these guys and you get totally hooked.
24/7 Stuck in my head. I dont need a radio at work to hear music
This song reminds me of my past of being a little kid with so much joy and no worries...Sometimes I wish I could go back to the past so badly, except one person is keeping me from fully wishing to go back....
I don't feel alone anymore.
J'aime. J'aime beaucoup.
Your Song Changed My Life. Thanks !!
Radical.
shivers through the spine, down through to my fingers and toes.
what a track.
this music makes me happy and sad at the same time?! its very catchy but what is this feeling?!
It doesn't matter how bad my day was, it could've been hell. it could be the usual but one thing is certain, these types of songs will always keep me in a good/happy mood, would buy if I see this on the app store
this makes me so happy
This is one of the most vibe fulled things i've ever seen.
Spotify needs to get on it and get a vaporwave genre because I need my daily dose of w a v e
I love the picture I can look at it for hours
Sounds like the opening theme for my favorite 80s educational science show that never existed.
I love this channel - it reminds me of staying up late illicitly and catching snatches of amazing music not quite remembered. The more ambient stuff reminds me of early morning TV of documentaries, Open University and the odd bit of deeply surreal Communist -era animations seen early on Saturday morning.
This must be the best synthwave track there is.
I heard this song during the last couple of weeks before my brother passed away form a brain tumor stage 4. We both said it made us feel nostalgic...but our nostalgia was a trip down memory lane where we enjoyed strolling down again. except, i still have more e road to go....he had a dead end. it's bittersweet then...its bittersweet now.
The image remains me of a science textbook I had in middle school
This guys just obviously the best in the genre.
"Hmmmm, human music. I like it"
I remember when rain had no sound, we could express things in what we found. Your mind reacts as you relax, colors felt so pastel and full of small cracks.
Someone should make a one hour looped version of this track!
I miss my home: I miss my friends that aren’t here anymore - I hope bro’s have peace.
this makes me sleep in a good way "I should sleep" I tell myself but I dont this helps because its so good and chill
im getting goosebumps its so beautiful :'(
Who would dislike this?
This song makes me feel happy
Alguien la escucha en cuarentena? 😎
Love the beginning.
This song and its genre of music does not remind me of some sundry detail from my childhood.
words cannot describe how much i love this song
