I saw the Cort version of this guitar in a store years ago for around $300 - I really should have bought it. I love the old Steinberger style guitars. More manufacturers need to make this kind of guitar. You only need "that much guitar" body anyway. The rest just adds needless weight.
Steinbergers Spirit (which are almost identical, just with HSH layout) are still in production, but yeah bit of a shame there's not much more left of it. Definitely a cool exercise how much you can remove and still have a perfectly good guitar. Tuning system and speedloading strings are brilliant too.
