Can you just clarify indications? 1) would I have the right indicator on approaching the roundabout. 2) when changing right to left lane , do I indicate or would that mislead drivings into thinking I am going to A442. 3) do I indicate to exit? Thanks
Hiya Many thanks for the question if you wanted to indicate on a approach to the roundabout then that would be fine. Most people tend to wait till they pass the second exit because the lane says straight ahead or right. 2 No you don’t need to signal because the lane is just widening into a choice of two lanes so you’re not actually changing lane at that point. You’re just choosing the left lane so as you quite correctly said to signal left would look like you’re going onto the dual carriageway . 3 yes it is better to signal to come off because that lane does say you can actually come off at the exit or follow it round to the right so for any pedestrians who may be waiting to cross by the exit seeing your signal will help them and any other road users to know where you’re going
