as someone who regularly fosters sick skinny and neglected kitten and helps them find their new homes i have some tips for both fattening him up and also for introducing him to new animals. s for feeding him up yu wanna feed him little and often. one tablespoon of wet food and one tablespoon of dry food around 4-5 times a day is good. you need to take the food away after like 20 minutes so that he learns to eat when the bowl is down. you will see improvements pretty quickly. also you need to feed both wet and dry fod as feeding just dry can increase the chance of him having some urinary tract problems. to introduce him to milque you should let them smell through the door first and then bring him in in a cat carrier but not milques one. after like 10 minutes take him back out, try to end it on a good note and give milque lots of treats when pip is around. keep doing it everyday for like 4 days and eventually open the carrier if all is going well. dont leave them unsupervised together for a while though. for the dogs bring in the dog that is the most chilled out with milque and let it sniff the carrier without the cat. then bring the cat in the carrier in and let them sniff around. again lots of treats. if the dg is calm take the kitten out and put him on a high surface like a counter. if he feels comfortable he can get down. if the dog is very excited try using a sit and stay command or if its not listening leash the dog and let the kitten come to the dog not the other way around. lastly for the two cats you can expect some small scraps between the two as they develop a pecking order and learn to live around eachother. cats are a solitary species by nature but can live quite happily with each other even if they dont necessarily like one another they will choose to ignore one another most times. i have two cats and two dogs as well as fostering and this process id usually how it goes. the cats learn so much so quickly as they are usually only with me for 2-3 weeks and ive been told they are some of the friendliest kittens and are always first adopted as they come out of their shell so quickly in hectic situations. sorry this was so long haha i love your channel :)
The only thing I wouldn’t do it have the kitten in the carrier when he’s meeting the dogs, it might scare him and think the dogs are predators/aggressive. We tried it with our cats and they hated it so much. I would keep the kitten in a place, in the same room as the dogs, that they can’t get to. But it’s really good advice and hope it helps Stacy!
yeah a high surface the dogs cant get onto is a good option as well because they can feel safe and have a good view of the dog . i personally have a crate carrier for my cats and they have full view of the dog so theyre usually fine but if theyre in a bag carrier it would definitely be scary. i also usually only have like two weeks to desensitise and tame completely feral kittens before their fear period comes through and its more difficult to change their behaviours plus i gotta get them ready to adopt asap. so thats why the crate is an okay option although my animals are so used to new cats they dont even blink an eye when they see the box anymore haha. the kitten is usually the one that has to get used to them :p

He is so loving! I think your adorable kitten is a blue lynx point mitted ragdoll, although I am not sure of the color.....could be silver instead of blue. Ragdoll cats grow up to be strong and very large and it usually takes 2---3 years to achieve their full growth. He likes being in your shirt and on your neck because they want to be near your heartbeat. It's obvious you love animals.👍💜

If your introducing Pip to Milque, make sure you introduce them in separate rooms, It would be best to put Pip in a dog crate and let Milque roam outside the crate, after a while open the crate door so they can properly introduce themselves, we did this with my cats and it worked well, also let the cats eat together, it will help with bonding. IMPORTANT!!! Make sure you give Pip kitten food, adult cat food doesn't have enough nutrients.

My cat Vader was like yours too we fed him about 4-6 times a day and he was really getting better we feed him milk sometimes not a lot but it’s good to give him some water I think it’s better to give half and half of dry and wet food !!! Hey Stacy! We have rescued five cats now, and you were asking what can fatten up kitten fast. Well, what we have done is given them a few things. You could give him half and half or evaporated milk, but not too much because they are not supposed to have a lot, and those temptation cat treats fatten them up also really fast. You can also give him Rachel Ray, Friskies, Whiskas, Sheba, and they also sell high calorie meals for cats!!!

The pawing is kneading that cats will do for different reasons. They find it comforting, it marks their territory, they need something, they are preparing a place to sleep, etc. It's normal, especially for kittens since they also use this action while they're young enough to nurse to stimulate the flow of milk. Tiny kittens with tiny stomachs can't eat a lot at once, but they do need to eat frequently. Don't worry Stacey you're doing great!

STACY just a warning from experience wits elderly and sickly cats, Blue wilderness cat food was NOT approved for cats as far as i know and made my elderly cat, cleo even more sick than she already was at the time, also for male cats especially, a diet made up of only dry food is NOT good and can lead to urinary tract infections and kidney cancer. (Of course we learned this AFTER Lucky, 15yr old male died of kidney cancer)also, the paw thing is called kneading (they do it to their mothers) please like so stacy can see
Doing dry food only diet does cause some problems but that only happens with certain types of dry food. If it's one that has little to no real meat than you are feeding your cat a bad diet. But if it's one that has only a few ingredients like the Rachel Rays dog/cat foods than that is a fine dry food diet.

Preasious!!!!Oh my cat was very skinny when we got her originally. What we did was we fed her food she liked as often as she would take it. We would have dry food out constantly for her to snack on and we would give her 2 things of wet meowmix a day. Over time they will get a better appetite and eat more. Pip isn't use to eating much, but he should get a larger appetite over time.Also, what we did with my two cats is we brought the two together. I held the new cat in my lap in an enclosed area and let my other cat try to smell her at his own phase. I would also reach out and poet my other cat to make sure he knew I wasn't replacing him. It is important to give both cats love so they don't feel you are replacing them. I did KT for longer amounts of time each day until my old cat came up to my new cat and sniffed her. I've seen cats touch noses, lick one another on the ear, etc. Milk may try to play with pip if you let them hang out. Just keep an eye on them. Unless you feel Pip is in danger, don't intersept. Milk will probably be careful, as most bigger cats won't injure smaller cats while playing, but of Milk starts getting annoyed, you may want to take Pip away. A kitten I fostered once played with my cat whom was maybe 2 years older, they were playing and the older cat was very careful of the younger cat. If you feel the need to desperate them, pick up Pip, stroke him, put him in another room, then take Milk and let him know you love him. Be very careful because if you accidently show favoritism of any kind, the other may resent the one being "favored" and they will probably end up not liking eachother. I hope this helps a bit Stacy! If you want to introdue him to milk keep them in seprate rooms, but get him used to the sent. then let them see each other after a week of doing this. If the intraction in goo then you can leave them alone and keep letting him out for longer periods of time untill he is intagrated into the family. (Sry bout typos). plz like so stacy can see!

To introduce two cats just hold the new cat near your first cat and introduce him gradually. Also to fatten up a cat (a kitten in particular) is to bottle feed. like you said pip was in a horrible place and with the description you gave us he was probably the runt so he might not have gotten enough milk and/or nutritious.
We have a cat that some asshole threw from their truck at less than 7 days old. Her eyes were still closed. I got her from the person that was behind the truck. She was 10 weeks old but was the size of a 5-6 week old kitten. About a pound. We gave her kitten formula and every night she would ask for it then one day she was done with it. She also does the kneading thing on me all the time, because she was taken away from her mom so early. She's 4 now and still small.

The pawing is completely normal. They do it because when kittens want milk from their mothers they just paw/massage the mothers belly to get milk. With humans it means that they trust you and are content! The silent meow is normal for small kittens too. My cat was the same. As it gets older and bigger the meow will get louder and stronger
I have watched all of your videos about Pip. Thank you so much for adopting this rescue kitten and providing the proper funds and care that enabled him to recover (I know that it has not been cheap) . The first clip of this video showed me just how sickly he was when you first visited him. And it was amazing to see how his health continually progressed and he kept getting bigger too. Oh Stacy! A few weeks ago, I was doing some school work and I was reading an article and it said 'milquetoast' in it! I felt so excited to see it, and immediately thought of you and Mr Milquetoast himself! 🐱💕
His pawing or (needing) is adorable. They do that to help with anxiety or to show affection, they get it from when they are kittens and are suckling on their mother so they can get more milk from her.
when introducing two kittens you should let pip be in his carrier in a closed off room and let milk sniff it out that way if either show signs of aggression they cant harm the other and continue doing this for 30 mins each day for a few days to let them get used to each other scents after that if no aggression is shown then let pip out. make sure when you release pip you keep him within arms length so you can grab him if something goes wrong. let them sniff and play(maybe) for 30 min everyday for a few days, at the same time put milk and the dogs in a closed off room and allow pip to explore the house after the few days allow both cats (and dogs after you introduce them) to roam the house freely but keep a sharp eye out for any mishaps
You don't really need to do this, if you wanna be safe you can, we recently got a kitten and she went exploring our house and found our 17 year old cat and the older cat hissed at her but didn't do anything, she just kinda walked away, and then after 2 days she didn't care, they love each other now and we've had her for maybe 6 days? I think our cat was kinda confused Bc our new kitten looks just like our cat we had to put down.
I have a cat called Oliver, who’s about a year and a half old. Just before this last Christmas I got another kitten called Piper. Since Oliver is a very extroverted and friendly cat and I go to school all day he gets very sad and lonely, so we thought he needed a friend. We kept Piper in my room for about a week to make sure she wasn’t sick and didn’t have any illnesses, then we slowly started to introduce them by letting them paw at each other under the door and see each other through the crack. Then we let them see each other fully after a few days, and yes Piper did hiss a little bit at first but then she gradually warmed up to Oliver and now they’re best friends. My advice for introducing Pipsqueak to Milquetoast is to take it very slowly and let them smell each other’s scents before having them meet face to face. That way they will be familiar with each other’s scents and the face to face meeting won’t be as stressful or scary for the both of them. If they hiss, let it be. A hiss isn’t really aggressive it’s more of a warning sign to back away in cats, so let it be and eventually they will warm up like mine did. Love you Stacy, thanks for the great content!!

My cat does the paw thing too. I’ve always called it "The Kitty Dance" 😂 she always dose it when she is cuddling with me, or getting ready to lay down on a blanket. But she always dose it on a blanket because she is trying to get comfortable, but never on a hard service. Also your kitten is so cute!!!!

The pawing is kneading that cats will do for different reasons. They find it comforting, it marks their territory, they need something, they are preparing a place to sleep, etc. It's normal, especially for kittens since they also use this action while they're young enough to nurse to stimulate the flow of milk. Tiny kittens with tiny stomachs can't eat a lot at once, but they do need to eat frequently. Don't worry Stacey you're doing great!

STACY just a warning from experience wits elderly and sickly cats, Blue wilderness cat food was NOT approved for cats as far as i know and made my elderly cat, cleo even more sick than she already was at the time, also for male cats especially, a diet made up of only dry food is NOT good and can lead to urinary tract infections and kidney cancer. (Of course we learned this AFTER Lucky, 15yr old male died of kidney cancer)also, the paw thing is called kneading (they do it to their mothers) please like so stacy can see

Doing dry food only diet does cause some problems but that only happens with certain types of dry food. If it's one that has little to no real meat than you are feeding your cat a bad diet. But if it's one that has only a few ingredients like the Rachel Rays dog/cat foods than that is a fine dry food diet.

Preasious!!!!Oh my cat was very skinny when we got her originally. What we did was we fed her food she liked as often as she would take it. We would have dry food out constantly for her to snack on and we would give her 2 things of wet meowmix a day. Over time they will get a better appetite and eat more. Pip isn't use to eating much, but he should get a larger appetite over time.Also, what we did with my two cats is we brought the two together. I held the new cat in my lap in an enclosed area and let my other cat try to smell her at his own phase. I would also reach out and poet my other cat to make sure he knew I wasn't replacing him. It is important to give both cats love so they don't feel you are replacing them. I did KT for longer amounts of time each day until my old cat came up to my new cat and sniffed her. I've seen cats touch noses, lick one another on the ear, etc. Milk may try to play with pip if you let them hang out. Just keep an eye on them. Unless you feel Pip is in danger, don't intersept. Milk will probably be careful, as most bigger cats won't injure smaller cats while playing, but of Milk starts getting annoyed, you may want to take Pip away. A kitten I fostered once played with my cat whom was maybe 2 years older, they were playing and the older cat was very careful of the younger cat. If you feel the need to desperate them, pick up Pip, stroke him, put him in another room, then take Milk and let him know you love him. Be very careful because if you accidently show favoritism of any kind, the other may resent the one being "favored" and they will probably end up not liking eachother. I hope this helps a bit Stacy! If you want to introdue him to milk keep them in seprate rooms, but get him used to the sent. then let them see each other after a week of doing this. If the intraction in goo then you can leave them alone and keep letting him out for longer periods of time untill he is intagrated into the family. (Sry bout typos). plz like so stacy can see!

To introduce two cats just hold the new cat near your first cat and introduce him gradually. Also to fatten up a cat (a kitten in particular) is to bottle feed. like you said pip was in a horrible place and with the description you gave us he was probably the runt so he might not have gotten enough milk and/or nutritious.

We have a cat that some asshole threw from their truck at less than 7 days old. Her eyes were still closed. I got her from the person that was behind the truck. She was 10 weeks old but was the size of a 5-6 week old kitten. About a pound. We gave her kitten formula and every night she would ask for it then one day she was done with it. She also does the kneading thing on me all the time, because she was taken away from her mom so early. She's 4 now and still small.
I feel so bad!But it still alive and that's all what matters.

The pawing is completely normal. They do it because when kittens want milk from their mothers they just paw/massage the mothers belly to get milk. With humans it means that they trust you and are content! The silent meow is normal for small kittens too. My cat was the same. As it gets older and bigger the meow will get louder and stronger
I have watched all of your videos about Pip. Thank you so much for adopting this rescue kitten and providing the proper funds and care that enabled him to recover (I know that it has not been cheap) . The first clip of this video showed me just how sickly he was when you first visited him. And it was amazing to see how his health continually progressed and he kept getting bigger too. And finally after watching your more recent video, it was amusing to see how big he has grown. I am so happy that you did not euthanize him. Thank you and God Bless.

His pawing or (needing) is adorable. They do that to help with anxiety or to show affection, they get it from when they are kittens and are suckling on their mother so they can get more milk from her.

when introducing two kittens you should let pip be in his carrier in a closed off room and let milk sniff it out that way if either show signs of aggression they cant harm the other and continue doing this for 30 mins each day for a few days to let them get used to each other scents after that if no aggression is shown then let pip out. make sure when you release pip you keep him within arms length so you can grab him if something goes wrong. let them sniff and play(maybe) for 30 min everyday for a few days, at the same time put milk and the dogs in a closed off room and allow pip to explore the house after the few days allow both cats (and dogs after you introduce them) to roam the house freely but keep a sharp eye out for any mishaps

You don't really need to do this, if you wanna be safe you can, we recently got a kitten and she went exploring our house and found our 17 year old cat and the older cat hissed at her but didn't do anything, she just kinda walked away, and then after 2 days she didn't care, they love each other now and we've had her for maybe 6 days? I think our cat was kinda confused Bc our new kitten looks just like our cat we had to put down.
That seems extremely excessive and my cats took 5 minuets to get use to each other not weeks.

I have a cat called Oliver, who’s about a year and a half old. Just before this last Christmas I got another kitten called Piper. Since Oliver is a very extroverted and friendly cat and I go to school all day he gets very sad and lonely, so we thought he needed a friend. We kept Piper in my room for about a week to make sure she wasn’t sick and didn’t have any illnesses, then we slowly started to introduce them by letting them paw at each other under the door and see each other through the crack. Then we let them see each other fully after a few days, and yes Piper did hiss a little bit at first but then she gradually warmed up to Oliver and now they’re best friends. My advice for introducing Pipsqueak to Milquetoast is to take it very slowly and let them smell each other’s scents before having them meet face to face. That way they will be familiar with each other’s scents and the face to face meeting won’t be as stressful or scary for the both of them. If they hiss, let it be. A hiss isn’t really aggressive it’s more of a warning sign to back away in cats, so let it be and eventually they will warm up like mine did. Love you Stacy, thanks for the great content!!

My cat does the paw thing too. I’ve always called it "The Kitty Dance" 😂 she always dose it when she is cuddling with me, or getting ready to lay down on a blanket. But she always dose it on a blanket because she is trying to get comfortable, but never on a hard service.

My cat (the cat that is my profile picture) is a bit underweight. We took her to the vet and they told us that we should feed her an extra meal. So, I suggest that you try giving him a bit more food until he gets to an normal weight for his age.
