im hopefully getting one in the next month or so ... reeling in and picking the reel up every job is taking its toll !!!!
great vid........love mine, had it from day one when I transitioned from trad to WFP, 18 months now. can pull in 100 meters in less than 30 seconds.....highly recommended.
If you could keep the side door closed using a roller guide and somehow safely hang the wfp on the side of the van without having to take the pole in and out all the time it would make life much easier and quicker. The hose reel would need to automatically wind in side to side so it doesn’t end up knotting up and maybe a remote control for the hose so you can wind in on the way back to the van. If waterworks can pull that off I’d be first in the queue. You have a great set up mate 👍🏻
Lee Debo he already has and is just doing the trouble shooting stage of it all.
Another top video Darren great advice as always
Hi Darren do you keep the van open or do you or will you use a through the floor system?
Chris Farri we work with an open van. Keeping an eye on something new from water works that will allow us to work with van closed.
Another great video. What adaptors do you use to connect your pole hose to the reel hose? Mine keep breaking and getting caught.
Those small metal ones, think they're called rectus fittings.
Cheers mate!
I like the exceed slick connectors, they are streamlined and slip round corners easily.
Does this reel shut off if you get any snagging when reeling in?
And is there much resistance when reeling out from the van?, i.e. Is it the same as reeling out a manual hose reel?
Many thanks
It does not 'shut off' so to speak, but a firm grip of the hose is enough to stop the motor. As for reeling out no discernable difference between this and a manual reel.
Would the one shot still work with the door closed ?.
SANDYBANK1000 it has done in the past for us no issue.
I am just building a new vivaro van using DIY system. I have the same reel and thinking of mounting it like this, if you wanted to pull it out towards the back of the van or front of the van does it pull out ok. Thanks Colin
Out the side and back or forwards no issues.
@@Darren-Green cheers mate
what brand of hose is that mate
I love my power reel it makes a massive difference. I noticed the ends of the poles in the van. have you ever tried the tubeless kits from Exceed innovationsex-ceedinnovation.co.uk/shop/tubeless-upgrades/protective-ejector-sleeve/
they are a bit pricey but keep the van much tidier and you don't snag the hose getting the hose out of the van.
What bolts do you use to fix it?
That is a good question, I believe they are M8 but Jordan at Waterworks is the man to ask -- The reel comes with all fixings as standard.
@@Darren-Green will do. Nonein mine unfortunately 🙈
