- This video shows how we build the AM6 swapped Tomos Standard a3/a35. It was a blast to build and it is amazing to ride. You can do it yourself with a welder and few euro's.
New Topspeed 114 km/h
Setup:
- Minarelli Am6
- DR/Top performance 80cc.
- Polini PWK 28mm.
- Malossi VL6 Reed Valve with custom intake manifold.
- Rewelded Kreidler Homoet P4 Exhaust.
- Suzuki TS50 Radiator.

Die AM6 blokken kunnen akelig snel zijn. Op een Tomos levensgevaarlijk. Maar enorm gaaf uiteraard, helemaal goed! Een binnenrotor ontsteking zou helemaal een beest van je brommer maken!
i did a KTM SX50 with 65ccm Cylinder under a Peugeot 101 ,fully automatic and 16hp,reached 108kmh!

@@HokDuhWortel ben zelf nooit fan geweest van de tomos maar de exemplaar die jij heb is mooi omgebouwd en die maakt nog is mooi kabaal wat wil je nog meer😂 💨 🚀
Wat onwijs gaaf man! Ik en een maatje van me hebben recentelijk een Lifan 130cc H2O blok onder een tomos gebouwd. Verlengde achterbrug van een oude dt80 eronder en alles. Nu alleen nog de tandwiel verhouding aanpassen (was veel te licht) en vliegen maar!
Kijk dat past eigenlijk beter dan een am6 blok! Vergeet niet optijd te remmen he ;)

@@HokDuhWortel Somewhat right, but i judge motor swaps on the motor being swapped in and execution .
This is awesome swap. Not stupidly big that makes the bike handle and feel nasty.
You have a lot of options to make this fast, while the bike will still handle well and feel light.
@@richr161 i agree! Wouldnt want to go to a bigger engine. The you can feel that the frame isn't designed for more
Am6/ 345 One of the best engines to tune and get really good performance from! I've always enjoyed the engine! 👌
You only have to dump 2k€ in it 👌🏿👌🏿
onely problem whit the am6 is all the extra neutrals you get whit it

It is but the intake is small compared to the Derbi engines with bigger intakes and derbi engines are faster.
@@marnickshobby4465 hehe would love to see someone being abel to shift the old bugger whit no false neutrals a -98 am6 i got my grubby hands on it 2016 as faar as i can tell the onely maintence it has gotten is basic oil changes and being a bit upped from its original 30km/h strangulation

Geweldige ombouw... genoten van je video. Voor de schijfrem upgrade heb ik de oplossing. Zelf voor en achter gemaakt op een a35.
Heel netjes! De Tomos ligt ondertussen op het oud ijzer maar de ombouw spullen liggen veilig in de schuur :)

My ctx with dellorto 24,e90 cylinder 48l piston,polished intake and exhaust on cylnder tops at 120kmh,but great vid!

Reminds me of my youth in Italy where my friend took his 50cc Piaggio Ciao and changed a few parts (truccato in italian slang)
Boy was it fast but until he perfected it he had to stop every 30mins to let the engine cool down.

I’m currently working on a yz85 swap tomos targa lx. I have yz85 forks, ttr125 swingarm, and just finished the engine. This is a big inspiration even in the states (Tennessee). Your the first guy I’ve found to do a similar swap, I’ll be sure to reach out when mine starts coming together.

Can you please tell me if the am6 will drop right in? Does it bolt right up to the stock engine mounts? Or does it need fabrication? Thanks! I’m trying to go the same route as you are
You need to modify quite a bit. As shown in the video the whole right side needs to be wider and you need to fabricate the bottom mount. You'll also need a modified rear sprocket (offset) and a intake manifold that fits. In short there is some welding/fabrication needed. The stock swingarm/brakes/shocks are not optimal but will work

stap 1 koop een gilera runner 180 cc
stap 2 plak een tomos stikker op de gilera runner

Fantastich am6 blokken onder dinge steken waar het niet hoort, had ooit eens een monkey met 75 tpr op een meeting gezien zalig

@@HokDuhWortel ay bro my project is going to be 85ccm so mhr 86ccm cilinder and rotary valve estimated hp 20-25 but it will have peak power at 9k for a type of forest race in slovenija so probably gona beat your top speed😁

I think you could improve engine power by making intake piping bigger and have bigger reeds than the ones In the video and by instaling sport electricity.

Thanks for the good advice! The reeds are indeed a limiting factor, the intake piping/carburator itself is big enough.
A inner rotor flighwheel, custom exhaust and cilinder porting are the most limiting now

Zeg bert, welk achtertandwiel is dat? Ik zoek een 420 achtertandwiel die op tomos passend is maar denk dat ik het beste aan jou vragen kan, ik ben bezig met een tomos caferacer en gooi er een AX100 schakelblok onder voor wat meer plezier, als je nog een site weet, let me know
Ik heb een origineel smal achtertandwiel gebruikt met een 420 voortandwiel en ketting. Gaat opzich prima, wel een fris achtertandwiel pakken.
Zit nog zoveel meer power in met de juiste uitlaat en onsteking schreeuwen moet die en jij vliegen👀
Eerst ff een schijfremmetje erop en dan gaan we verder, die achterbrug begint ook al te sneuvelen :)
hoe kom je nou weer aan een suzuki tsx radiator. ik moest eentje helemaal uit duitsland halen omdat ze hier bijna niet bestaan😭

Only one small suzuki ts50 radiator without thermostat in the cilinder. It cools enough for the summer here in the netherlands. Get a temp gauge for it tho!

how big is the carburetor on your motorcycle, I mean the size of the diffuser
28mm diameter carb. The max for this setup. The air intake side is 52mm

@@HokDuhWortel hey bert nog een vraagje weet je misschien wat het is? mijn am6 80cc viel dood met vol gas en wou niet meer aan soms wel soms niet heb alles uitelkaar gehad maar alles ziet er goed uit heb onsteking niet los kunne krijgen maar neem aan dat die niet kapot is als ie wel vonkt
hij krijgt benzine vonk en lucht
@@rustygenerator2809 paar dingetjes voor de zekerheid: zorg dat je luchtfilter/bougie en benzine (filter) vers en schoon zijn.
Daarnaast vermoed ik dat de hoofdsproeier in je carburateur te klein is, dit omdat je aangeeft dat deze dood valt bij volgas.
Kijk uit voor warmlopers, niet te gek.doen als de brommer slecht afgesteld is

Yeah.. they are available most of the time hahaha. They work, sort of untill 70 km/h but you need to learn to break way before you normally need to

De standaard achterbrug is lichtelijk krom getrokken met gek doen, er komt een sterkere op met schijfrem
not to brag, but my tomos might be faster ;) i engine swapped it for a daytona anima 212cc engine, 30 bhp, with the correct sprockets around 145-150 top speed.
