All parents should know to drop to a child's eye level and be gentle. It tells them they are important and respected. I did this with my sons and now grandchildren. I now do this with my 60 pound labrador. LOL. The Cambridges do this in all settings. I applaud them!

At meal times they should sit round a table and join in the conversation. There has to be a mixture, sometime being able to take a joke, sometimes an explanation but also be listened to. I admire and respect them very much.. They grew together and work well as a family unit together, and so what if a child misbehaves it is how they handle the situations and all parents have made mistakes but you learn and grow from it.
Bravo. I LIVE YOU. CAMBRIDGES. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

She distracted and redirected her WITH KISSES BOTH TIMES! It must be a parenting technique of hers, as I’ve seen her do it on two separate occasions!
It was just beautiful to watch👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What a lovely family. Diana was a loving mom but she declared publicly that Charles was very good with the boys. Let's not forget that. William was a born king. He has all the attributes of a statesman. What a joy to see and what a wonderful wife and young family he clearly appreciates and enjoys. Just love them. God bless them all.🙏

It was not something done in public for royals when the queen had her children. They did in private I think, but nannies were employed so that the queen could perform her royal duties and Obligations. They didn't take the children along when meeting diplomats and VIP s, or visiting Commonwealth countries. Their family lives were a lot more private. No paperazzi on the neighbours roof or hiding in trees! People were far more polite and respectful, even journalists, until the 60s! Anne and Charles were photographed, but only by invited photographers. They were also filmed playing occasionally. Child abduction was practically unknown. People would let their children play out in the street, and baby's were left out in their prams. Neighbours got to know all that went on, and who lived where! It was only when TVs got popular in late 50s, that communities started to be more isolated. Royal occasions called for flags and street parties! The early 50s were full of celebrations! The Coronation, the Festival of Great Britain. Everyone turned out to cheer!

I worked at the Magic Kingdom (Disneyland - Anaheim, CA) for 15 years. It is true that the eyes are the window to the soul. We were taught to kneel to children and speak with them eye to eye. You can see the true magic that happens when this is done, not only with the child but with the parent and other onlookers. All children really want is love and acceptance. GREAT JOB WILLIAM AND KATE. I think you both are incredible parents and the love and respect shown towards your children is priceless and a great example to all parents.

He was a beautiful carding son, a handsome caring suitor, a caring , supportive husband and a quite wonderful, naturally caring, loving father.
If anyone could show people in high places how to truly care and consider others, it is our future king. I am so thankful that William has remained as truly caring as he was shown to be with his mother Dianna.
Unfortunately I doubt I will live long enough to see him crowned, but I have seen the demise of Trump and for me that was a great comfort and no doubt to many others throughout the world.

It’s important for a child to feel heard so they can effectively communicate. This came natural for me as a parent, didn’t get it from a book or video. I grew up not feeling heard, so I just started intuitively doing it with my own kids. It’s not demeaning, it lets them know how they think & feel is important..

Absolutely...I was 13 when William was born, and I watched Diana do this with her boys. It was a technique I used as a busy babysitter, swim teacher, nanny, and my own kids. It is so important to get on their level. It builds self esteem and positive mental health in children.
