I randomly stumbled across this channel and im happy i did! 😊 but it should be more subs here as its a great channel abt a father and his children having fun whilst playing games!
The guardian armor & defender weapons were originally designed for people coming from console to PC so they can get to the dlc faster, not saying you can't use it, that's your choice just know using them can damage your ability to learn the core gameplay loop (prepare -> fight monster -> forge new weapons & armor - > repeat step 1).
Thank you for the heads up on the armor and defender weapons. We'll be going using the original weapons and armor as we continue playing! Out of curiosity, I'm trying to play this game fairly blind, but I am wondering if there's a way that we can play through quests the first time together rather than completing them solo then joining? I assume we're still basically in the tutorial, so maybe this will become clear as we progress.... I hope you're able to get some family gameplay in! I must admit that I've had to play more Stardew Valley than I wanted and listen to a lot of Pokemon details that didn't quite enthrall me to get to this point. 😂
The best way to do this is have the leader go do the quest and just watch the cutscene then u can just abandon or return from quest. Then everyone joins and u do the quest for real. The biggest problem is everyone is probably gonna need to watch the cutscene first and they are unskippable which sux. Probably the biggest problem with playing the game together at the start.
also the guardian armor is meant for people who wanna speed through base game to get to the dlc so it ruins the progression system so I dont really recommend it
I feel bad for you guys playing monster hunter on mouse and keyboard smh...... just kidding lol tho controller is the definitive way to monster hunter imo

I actually was thinking this morning that this is probably a console first game and we should use controllers next time!
@@WoWFamilyTime yeah monster hunter was made around controller so when it was ported to PC the mouse and keyboard controls were an afterthought
