The thing about triangle amulet and boost dice is that boost dice boost by both an amount and at a distance equal to their face value. If that distance became 6 because of triangle amulet, they would be useless.
If i'm not mistaken, boost dice only take into account the actual number ON the dice for distance, any other increase in value is only applied to the boost amount itself, so i think there's no risk of that.
I really like that final mantis bossfight. Both of them were strong against all types of builds in somewhat different ways. Reminded me a lot of how the spire heart from Slay The Spire was strong against everything.
The triangle amulet doewsn't work on boost die for a simple reason. Depending on the boost number depends on how many spaces away it will boost die. roll a 1 and it boost dice 1 spot away ect. If triangle amulet add 3 to the roll then it would be a 6 and the dice would boost 6 spaces away which the board isn't that big.
@@matisowagm well the first one (classic) is an updated jam version (prologue was pretty much Classic on steam, though it’s now taken down) Origins was heavily updated with a new event system, relics, and new art The Demo was made for Steam NextFest and it has a new map system, souls, etc Basically they’re all just big updates
Flash would be nice to use the tile boosted by the single tile boost twice in a turn or to apply the boost immediately on the first turn (or use a tile boosted by multiple purple dice twice, etc.)
Flash is actually pretty cracked. The thing to keep in mind is that it disappears from the board as soon as it's placed. You can lay down a couple of boost dice to buff up the cell you're about to put the flash die in, place it, then remove one of the boost die so that you still have an energy to use for something else. It's absolutely fantastic on Terrain dice for this reason, and it's easy enough in a run to get an early Glass Terrain die, strip off the Glass property at a shred tile, then add Flash to it at a shop. Since the terrain die goes to discard, you can do this again within a few turns, and end up with an insanely busted tile giving over +20 possibly.
have you considered streaming the blue prince demo for steam next fest. it feels like a puzzle roguelike, though the puzzle element is subtlety hidden beneath the surface. heavily recommend using a notebook or just scrolling your own footage as the puzzle solutions are hidden in plain sight. one playthrough of the demo is probably not enough to solve most of the hidden puzzles. it feels right up your alley.
Hey aliens rock, I recommend playing gorogoa, it’s kinda like framed in the sense of how you move frames, but it’s a lot different and really fun, and I’d love to see you play it.
There's also a game called Die in the Dungeon: Origins. The gameplay is similar, except for some events you use dices for decision choice. You might get a successful roll or failure roll. There's also an endless mode.
from what I've noticed i actually think that bubbly cement is when every four damage either blocked or taken adds 2 block the next start of your turn. for example, at the end boss when he was dealing upwards of 13 ish damage the bubble cement activate three times even tho you blocked it giving you 6 at the begining of your next turn
the tasty enemies can be very annoying because the Tasty Modifier triggers before your shield dice activate. They changed a TON in this demo compared to previous demos and I'm not sure if I particularly like some of the balancing changes. Previous versions of this game had you rolling d6s instead of d4s, and rolling 0s was straight up Not A Thing
If the Bubbly Cement had said "every 4 attacks" I would agree, but as it says "FOR every 4 attacks", it's actually correct. It WOULD clarify if they added "at the start of your turn" to the end of it.
At 21:43, could that "random +1" be because the mini dungeon takes place on the same tile, the boost die is carried over from one battle to the next? Edit: At 28:08, it does the same, so while not confirmed, I'm pretty sure this is how it works.
Hello, my name is Gioele Concolato, and I was actually the one that asked you if you had seen Die In The Dungeon on one of the last Island Of Insight stream, also, "The Poop" can be upgraded at the shop to "The Holy" which is a die with only 6s as their face, which is quite busted. Also, I am from the free version, and there I am know as "The Wolf Cub", and I can say that the dev nerfed everything, from what you can get as upgrades and how much stronger the enemies are, for context I once was able to deal 200 damage to a boss in one turn, and I 2 encounters later the enemies would casually be dealing 25 damage to me.
I’ve played this game for a while it’s confusing but boosters are vital and can’t be affected by anything which is why your relic didn’t work Thee is also a version called origins you should play that next Also in endless every 10 floors past 20 a new relic is discovered Pls play more
Of course they change the game after I uninstall it. Last boss used to be so difficult. Had to kill someone with 40 hp then had 1 turn to deal damage to the 300 hp boss then right back to the 40 hp after that. 40 hp guy also hit for 18 damage and boss guy would block for him
The thing about triangle amulet and boost dice is that boost dice boost by both an amount and at a distance equal to their face value. If that distance became 6 because of triangle amulet, they would be useless.
I think boost dice should probably have "value cannot be changed by other effects" as part of its description.
If i'm not mistaken, boost dice only take into account the actual number ON the dice for distance, any other increase in value is only applied to the boost amount itself, so i think there's no risk of that.
Blud did not watch past 5 minutes in the video 💀💀 the triangle amulet doesn’t affect the boost dice
@@DoCaMakesArt boost dice just can’t be boosted afaik, you might be thinking of prism dice
@@macaroni8 They said if
i heard in die in the dungeon you may die, while in the dungeon, with some die
That would be Slice & Dice
@@IcecubeX can confirm
you may indeed

Tyler with 7 [0,0,0,3] dice: "Why am I rolling so bad?"

Oh shoot it changed quite a bit since last i saw this game
If you're talking about Origins, that's a different game.
There’s Classic/Prologue, Origins, and the Demo. Aliensrock is playing the demo here
@@greenapple9477 you can see how the main game changed from the old version images in the steam store page description
@tacotuttle lol why are there 4 versions of the same game

This game has a really cool concept in my opinion. Please play more of this
Flash would be nice to use the tile boosted by the single tile boost twice in a turn or to apply the boost immediately on the first turn (or use a tile boosted by multiple purple dice twice, etc.)
After looking at the final boss, gaining block mid turn also seems to be situationally useful.
The first thing that came to mind was making the terrain dice flash so it can boost on first turn.
You could also use it to attack multiple enemies in the same turn without splash/area
Flash is actually pretty cracked. The thing to keep in mind is that it disappears from the board as soon as it's placed. you die in a dungeon? what is this, some sort of die in the dungeon?
Dungeon? I was in a dungeon once.
Thanks for reminding me about this game! I played the heck out of the demo, but completely forgot they'd released an update!

I’m really enjoying the variety in your recent uploads!
I assume it already is, but Deadly Rooms of Death should be on your radar. I recommend starting with "Journey to Rooted Hold"
A fellow DROD fan!

Dice is accepted as singular or plural in the vernacular now

woah this is my first time having played a game before tyler made a video on it! this is such a fun game
Hey that's actually pretty cool! Hope we see more episodes on this one
Saw the thumbnail, thought it looked neat. Saw the first encounter, very cool. Saw the navigation phase, what a delightfully fresh mechanic!
OOOO this games demo was so dang good. I'm glad you're playing it finally.
The extra shield during the boss fight was because of a different relic than bubbly cement.
Cant wait for full release
so happy to see him play this
This is really a great time for puzzle games lol. Talos principle dlc out, 14 minesweeper variants 2, etc. hope to see them on the channel soon lol!
Great video 👍
I remember playing this game on itch, it has changed so much!
This game reminds me a little of Slice & Dice, it's a pretty good roguelike game, you should try it
great game but it really needs steam achievements
Ok, but why does Tyler voice fits the frog man?
I want more of this game!!!!
Very cool!
The Grim Reaper does not "just want to collect a bunch of souls", it is a responsibility - he is tasked with doing it.
Those are some dicey dungeons, right there
FINALLY A GAME I ACTUALLY PLAY THANK YOU SO MUCH ALIENSROCK
Omg he's actually playing die in the dungeon, YESSSSSS, I LOVE IT
I wonder if you can get hollow and flash on a die. That would go kinda crazy for a straight up free immediate die usage.
Wow this game has gotten a lot of updates, I love this game and spent way too many classes just playing this
Looked like a fun game! Agreed with the wording not being too transparent or obvious, hope you re-visit after!
I love how random yet deterministic this game is 🤔
Wow, the game changed so much since I've played the demo! Not sure if I like all the changes, but the game still seems really fun and worth getting.
Are you going to play The Talos principle 2 DLC?
7 seconds! New record
This reminds me of dice dungeon

Yesssssss love this game
In the last fight bubbly cement was the true mvp
Aliensrock, you should revisit wildfrost, there is a lot more content and more fun builds to make.
i heard you should play more islands of sea and sky
Could you please try Cube Chaos next?
Neat.
You should try out Mindustry. I am a pro at that type of game, and I struggled a lot on the later levels.

which version is this? there appear to be multiple but none that I could find match the art style in the one you are playing
This is the most recent demo made for Steam NextFest. There’s also another demo called Origins with a different character and the same art style.
The distribution on 15:15 did not work because you forgot to spend 2 more points (so you could in theory put 3 on all of them).
Can you boost other boost due?
Well if we're talking about dice based rogue likes we GOTTA talk about Slice & Dice.
i didn't know "dice" was plural, i thought there were just two ways of saying "die"
it's both plural and singular, while die is exclusively singular
it's like "fish" being both plural and singular

What happened to the bee queen boss and the d6? This game changed alot since i last found it lol
