Chris and Tammy, HI! Just a suggestion here. We were on the road for five years. One thing that really helps is to buy baggies. A gallon one would hold the coffee grounds left in the bag so it doesn't spill out. Also, for dirty clothes, put them in a big trash bag. It's great to see how much you have to do. Also, nice to line the totes up in front of dryers at laundromat to fold and drop each person's clothes into.
The baggies are great ideas. Ya we did the road thing in short waves w traveling. Not long term. Thing I’m still trying to figure out is water and juice. Liquids to last a week yet not over heavy the loads. :) I keep seeing single travelers that run tight on water towards the end of their weeks and I’m like oh man we have 11 more ppl than these ppl. 🙃
@leavingfingerprints Juices can be put right into a cooler with the water bottles. We keep one just for drinks so that the meats don't go bad in the cooler due to repeatedly opening the cooler. Also, don't be afraid to cheat and use a bag sometimes. Ice can cool drinks in 15 minutes. If all you have is a plastic bag, use it. I would consider a 5 gallon bucket if necessary to hold and cool drinks. Also, they make those cloth coolers for carrying into the stadium. You could pick up a couple at Deseret Industries really cheaply. We may only have 4 of our own but always had friends or cousins riding along. That's part of how we started doing Foster care. I hope you are already traveling and having fun and making great memories.
I'm so excited for you guys. The trailer looks amazing 👏 You guys will have so much fun. Memories are something that last forever, and you're doing just that with your family.
Ohhh a new video 👏👏👏 this is so exciting but scary at the same time ! I do hope y'all have the greatest adventure , best travels , !! Yall are set up great ! And I for one feel honored to be going with you guys even through videos lol
Safe travels for everyone!! What an experience for the family! while I'm sad to see the homestead go, I am excited for all of you. Homesteading is difficult, has its challenges... but I think your family will appreciate the road you're traveling (no pun intended).
Come to East Tennessee and visit the great Smoky Mountains. There’s plenty of places to camp with and without electricity throughout most East Tennessee
Depends on what you consider the south...I'm in the south and we have Hurricane Season from June thru late October...and tornadoes can and do come with big storms in general...but summer here is the WORST...I LOVE MY FL WINTERS!!!!
@@crisssteinmetz4183 oh ok. Chris is on top of the weather. If we strike an area where a storm will hit we’ll get a room. Cause I ain’t playing w storms. Nope. 🙂↔️

He’s good. He’s excited to travel. He mentioned traveling last year solo and I was like 🥲. Let’s have Chris teach him the ways first. He’s 15 so he has 3 more years to go ❤️
We have been talking about this ❤️ Chris would be in heaven. He said he won’t come back. I’ll be like ✌🏻I like warmer weather . Now I’m no Alaska pro I know nothing about it. Just the pictures and some vloggers making it looks freezing 🥶🤭❤️

@@catherinebennet well we are chasing the sun. But we will have some chilly nights. And that’s what a good ole buddy heater is for . We also have a diesel heater in the mini trailer if desperate I could squash w all girls. But proper gear and sleeping bags we’ll be fine .
@@leavingfingerprints you’re going to make many good memories. 😉 I’ll be praying you’ll be able to stay warm without too much hassle. I kinda forgot you could add heat to a tent. 😂 I mean they add ac. 😆
Yes :) I won’t be talking about mothering on this channel or anything about my family. Just our travels and sharing our fun. But our adventures and how we are making it work. :)
Trailer the rv trailer is to big to tow w the van and there are spots we want to get to that you can’t bring the rv. If I was you I’d get a truck and a camper to go on the truck. They make nice ones. Watch Kenny of all traits. His rig set up is so perfect for a not big family ❤️
You guys tried a house then left that and tried homesteading in a rv couldn’t do that and no,you are going to try to go around the states in a van not an rv are you really thinking you can do this good luck to you guys but I am hoping you can but I think it’s nuts to try something like this
Couldn’t do that?!?! She freakin DID do that! She worked her butt off while making priceless memories with her family. I would have absolutely loved to have parents like Tammy and Chris growing up. I can only imagine how well rounded and confident their children must be.
@@heidipower7842 you said “tried homesteading in an RV couldn’t do that….” But she did in fact do that she just no longer wanted to do it. You just came off rude in my opinion.
