*Did you prefer the Les Paul or the Majesty and why?*
Les Paul
Those overdriven chords with les paul bridge pickup - just such a nostalgic classic sound that the majesty doesnt seem to do. That said the majesty has to be the most comfortable guitar ever!
Agreed 100%
Best to have both. Only Majesty comes with 6, 7, and 8 string options though. I have Majesty because of 7 string. Another thing Majesty has but LP doesn’t is the piezo pickup that nothing else sounds like it. Things that make Majesty and LP unique in their own right.
Definitely agree
I'm lucky enough to own both. The majesty is out of this world! It's the best shred machine I ever played, and there is a certain bright attack that only this guitar has. The les paul sound is unbeatable though.
Agreed on both accounts
Dude, what timing! I own a JP6, but I’ve been researching Les Pauls and Majestys for my next axe. This video just confirms that they are both great guitars and I’ll eventually have to own both 😂.
You'll be happy with either!
Honestly I preferred the Les Paul in almost every example in terms of its sound but I would personally rather play a Majesty. The ergonomics of the Les Paul and control layout is something I really just can’t get over.
The LP has THAT tone for sure. But the Majesty is arguably a better design and playing guitar.
Pull Me Under first verse riff at 4:41 👍🤟
You know it!!
I love Music Man guitars but in this demo the LP sounds better across the board
It has some sort of magic to it
Majesty All the way
My favorite!!
@@ZackSeifMusic same here. I’ve seen a few of your vids man. Good job, its well made, you play well and you have good taste for tones. Anyway, the Majesty is the key haha ! Cheers
Les paul for sound quality for sure, majesty pickups sounded thin and shrill to me
Yeah is unsatisfied less. For high gain that guitar still couldn't beat Ibanez for half price. Is not worth it.
@@mixmixture7049 You are right, yesterday I was comparing my Les Paul 1960 vs Music man JP monarchy Majesty vs ibaz RG550 Made in Japan and the results are surprising, Gibson is extremely exquisite with all that body and forcefulness in the sound + all the incredible harmonics and on the other hand Ibanez, which simply sounds incredible with a very fast and easy-to-play neck, crushes the MM JP, the advantage of the MM is that it has a piezzo, its ergonomics and light weight, apart from that nothing more than an overprice
Is better les paul for sake. Musicman is just entry level guitar, endorsed by petrucci. Is about bussines 😂. For metal? I prefer ibanez or dean for sure. Is not worth it for that price. Yeah is good guitar but nope, not big fan.
It might be your personal preference that you don't care for music man guitars. But it is pretty insulting that you consider them to be an entry-level guitar. Considering many of the worlds top rock and metal bands and guitar players right now use music man. Including John Petrucci, Jason Richardson, Steve Morse, Steve Lukather Hunter Hayes, Chelsea Grin and Born of Osiris, and even Eddie Van Halen himself used to have a signature guitar with music man.
There's a difference between your personal opinion and facts. The Les Paul is a phenomenal guitar yes, however it is still stuck in the 1950s, as the music man guitar is more equipped for modern playing styles of music. It's OK to like both. It's also OK to just like one but that doesn't mean the other one is inferior in anyway.
Eddie Van Halen played Music Man guitars and he made Music Man famous even before John Petrucci started learning how to play guitar. LPs don’t change much because Gibson got it right from the beginning. LPs and heavy metal; Metallica, Guns n Roses …
Best selling of all time? Les Paul is there, but I don't see Ibanez JEM.
The top 2 are the JP and LP. I linked a ton of articles in the description for reference:)
