here on YT you could see the whole list of beautiful, pre war, german cities. What do yo think, 150 of them ? I come from a partially destroyed city in the NL myself, bombed out on april 14, 1945
@DeepsongProductions Correct, but in the "past tense". I lived in Cologne in the mid-1990s, and the vast majority of these lovely structures in this film were rubble my 5/8/1945.
Unglaublich, dass das schon über 100 Jahre her ist, faszinierend und erschreckend irgendwie, aber schön gemacht. Durch die Nachbearbeitung wirkt das noch ganz anders 😉👌
Feel like I just stepped out of a time traveling DeLorean. It is a great thought experiment to see all of these people with their individual hopes and dreams, and realize they are all gone. A lesson in humility.
@@zurcherzurich213 Sadly, yes. At each moment in our lives, none of us know what awaits around the next corner; nuclear war, car accident, devastating health diagnosis, peace, love, healing, remission. History teaches us many things. Above all, to live with love, integrity, humility, and ultimately, that death is inevitable, which is why we must always practice the golden rule of treating others as we wish to be treated.
Was awesome! I've been to Germany during the Cold War and enjoyed the few days I had. I was at the Air Base near Landshtuhl and in the beautiful city of Kaiserslautern and thought everything I saw and the people I met were absolutely one of a kind!
It doesn't take much imagination to imagine more realistic colors in one's mind. The result really is a time capsule, and it's not hard to see why people never imagined what was forthcoming. It really does look like daily life, not that much different from how we would see it. The vehicles might be different, but the vibe is the same.
We had a great society and culture once... it's been nearly destroyed... technology has improved, but everything else is falling apart or been completely subverted...
People look so relaxed having such a good time taking their strolls around the city. Little did they all know that in around 20 years, all of this beautiful scenery would be mountains of cement. 😮
Germany was certainly a very wealthy country, and this was post WW1 which like all European countries involved in WW 1 were bankrupt particularly Britain as they had spent the most of any country fighting that war from which they have never recovered to this day.

What lovely, peaceful scenes. :) This was such a contrast to the economic woes Germany (Weimar Republic at the time) was going through and would continue to go through.
No, by the early 1930's the German industrial power amd superiority started coming back full force and with it the economy of Germany not only recovered from the nefarious effects of the treaty of Versailles but it kept growing to the extent that The German exports exceeded those of Great Britain and France together. Go learn before coming to write laughable foolishness.
@Hany-fu1vc I was commenting on the 1920's Weimar. Luckily I live in a free world where I am allowed to share my opinions, foolish or not. Have wonderful day! 😀

What a beautiful video of the beautiful Germany and its people. I liked the very decent and spiritual Christian processions. This was a time when the Great German nation was a proud Christian country with very strong Catholic and Evangelical Faith and churches in sharp contrast with the near total demise of the Catholic and Evangelical Churches in Germany now. It is so refreshing to watch what the Great country of Germany used to be compared to what it has become now and how it will become even worse in the near future.
