+Tonicwine999 Me too, I watched Guitar Gently Weeps and ordered the Soprano the same day. I've been playing 3 months today :)
+michael steam I did 7 classes but found they concentrated on chords and not reading music, so now I'm teaching myself Ukulele notation which is very rare in the books. I found the Horne set of 3 books did do notation. I've been playing 4 months now and can do the grade 1 music. I got an Octopus Soprano after my initial Sunwolf got a buzz. I'm happy now with the first one for the time being. If you want to play accompanying someone then there are a lot of tutorials on that, but very little for staff notation which is very frustrating. I have gone on to start to play the Mandolin (3 months) and the Classical Guitar (3rd week), so it's very much a doorway instrument. As for good, I would say that's going to take at least a year, it is said it takes 10,000 hours of practice to learn anything so I've got a way to go yet. I did do grade 4 flute with a teacher 20 years ago so I already know the basic stuff which crosses over to the Uke. As for buying have a look at the Got a Uke website/YT channel which gives reviews for every price range, the minstrelpdf website gives free graded sheet music for the Uke. Good luck!

Man, to this day I still remember when I was working at Jelly's in Pearl Kai and we had Jake come and play. That was way back in the late 90's and now look at this local boy up on People magazine, touring all over the world. One thing that stuck in my mind was something he said while playing in our store, "You guys don't want to hear me sing." Nope just keep playing man.

someone needs to puts tabs to this up like this version maybe not his exact version i just mean with the lyrics etc. most of the tutorials u see on this song are just showing u the main 4 chords you use for the rhythm and no offense that's not fun. yah i get maybe it's good to first learn to get the just of the song. but what are the parts for the like harmony of the song not rhythm. oh and of course great version of the song IMO best uku version out there hence why i'd love tabs for it. i got the rhythm down no prob for this song but finding the right notes for harmony is tough (i'm no pro) lol anyways yah great version i'd just love tabs for this specific one
You can't really get simple tabs for a song like this that involves so much finger picking and individual melody. Your best bet is to find a complex tutorial of the song in order to learn the finger picking.
