Hope you guys enjoy! - Наука та технологія
its loud but pretty fast! I own the Red Dragon too, and im very glad, that i bought it, first i wanted the GTX1060
Praise tbh I like my gtx 1060 better than my rx 580
Keegan yeah, thats four favourite, mine is different
Ive got the SAPPHIRE rx580 nitro+ and it isn't too loud luckily! Good video!
The Sapphire Nitro+ is one of the nicest RX 580 cards there are on the market! The overclocking potential that thing has is incredible!
I am getting this, this is good to know, thank you
I think these sounds pass the prefferable sound test. The later sounded like a vacuum cleaner; and the sound was relatively low.
Power limit -30% in wattman or msi aftreburner( -5 fps gaming), fan auto it will by fine.
Thank you so much ! My RX580 is soooo silent now!
@@hornyriegel2862 how do I do that?
@@txnt-9154 you go in the Radeon Software then to power options then to tuning and there you put the power limit to -30
I have the exact same card and you're right about the temperature to if it wasn't for MSI afterburner it would easily get to 85 degrees Celsius but I set mines to 80°c at least it's a performer...(but for 170 bucks it is what it is)
Clarence 007 you get what you pay for. That's exactly what I said.
I feel u. Picked up the 8 gig version from my pc part store for 150. But for some reason it wont run over 60 fps on GTAV at high settings. Sometimes it even dips to the lower 30s. Idk if its my 8 gigs of ram or the fact that I dont know how to configure the games graphic settings or overclock the gpu or cpu.
Unknown has to be the combo of CPU and gpu. Or just bad luck on a gpu lottery.
TVN dno yeah did some benchmarks and found that only 50% of the gpu was being used and constantly 100% of the cpu was being used. so yeah i definitely should opt for a ryzen 5 or 7.
Unknown you could try turning up the graphics where it's more gpu oriented. See if you can get better frames. I would still recommend getting a new CPU. Maybe 2600 or 2600X
U ran under auto settings, driver trying to cool card to 70c* but card rx580 is hot as is, so u need adjust fan curve in driver settings, settup max fan speed to 2000 rpm and temp to 80C, and it will be much much quiter.
max rpm of fans on this card is 3700, any fans will be loud, coz high air pressure on such rpm. btw
D D I have a custom fan curve for it. I can look at it again.
The thing is, it already gets up to 85+C* with the fans running at 100%
sorry revisited u video, XD u have nice fans pack in case
Did you change the GPU thermal paste? I was thinking to get this card because it’s the cheapest one that I can find. Rx580 8gb. The rest goes all to 200
I have limited power ussage by 30% and customized fan curves, now at max it runs way quietlier, even though there's a bit of a difference on fps (3 or 4 less)
Juane9 yeah no clue why power color couldn’t do that themselves...
@@DrSnackCake5 because they would have to do that to way too many cards and you usually have headphones on anyway so the only people its bugging is your family
@@DrSnackCake5 amd type beat
I just bought this card... Waiting for arrival. Hope isnt that bad.
MÁRCIO JOSÉ DE SOUZA VASCONCELOS it’s not bad at all, unless it completely doesn’t work out of the box...
I have the same card atm and it is very loud. Thats why i have it under my desk lol. But i just bought a sapphire rx 5700xt pulse, so hopefully it should be better from what ive seen
Jordan Amo nice upgrade! Let me know how it works for you
@@DrSnackCake5 honestly, its a great buy. Ive played a few games like warzone and fortnite and ive noticed a big improvement in framerate, and i feel like ive gotten better. Played a few games of warzone and averaged about 5 kills a game out of the 6 games i played. I usually never get more than 2. Either im lucky, or being able to play at higher fps is really helping me
Jordan Amo glad it’s working out good! Better frames can lead to better performance.
Jordan Amo check this out: ua-cam.com/video/OX31kZbAXsA/v-deo.html
@Keegan ok i found reason, why it's so hot. Just changed termal paste on it 20 minutes ago. Day and Night. In my case gpu runs at lowest possible 1300 rpm and gives max 77*c with it in furmark stress test.
all u need to access chip is 1 fan connector and 6 screws on backplate, took like 10 minutes to swap to new termal for me.
u can ask to change it in service if u have guarantee alive.
@@edizon4536 what brand of gpu that you are talking about? Is it sapphire or power color or something else?
Did you try to change the thermal grease, meaby that is the problem put one with better performance
Eduardo Salazar Aroche I don't want to open it yet it's still under warranty! I will tho once that is over
Mine (never mined 😜) maxes out @ 70C and never goes too loud. Knock on wood of course, and I'm not gonna hack inside until the warranty ends. Completely stock btw
Omg I wish that was the case for me lol glad it's working out for you!
@@DrSnackCake5 Thanks 🤗 I think it's something to do with the different batches and the paste lottery (most vendors can be hit or miss with how much of it they give away and how evenly it's spread out from the factory).
From where did you buy it? This is the cheapest rx580 8gb that I find right now. Is it too loud like this video?
Antonio Maria this was without a fan curve. I also bought it from newegg for $220 at the end of the mining craze
@Alex Kennst it doesn't have red inserts on the shroud tho
shouldn't V1 have them?
I have HAF X case and this card.
try undervolting this will help
It will help by a lot
May I know if the noise issue has been solved for your card? I am having the same issue and I would like to know how did you solve it. Thank you!
Anh Dao Huynh with a fan curve in MSI afterburner. It helped, but it's still pretty bad. I've heard other people say under volting will do the trick.
@@DrSnackCake5 I have tried to set Power limit to -30%, Core Clock 1400 MHz, Memory Clock 2250 MHz, Predefined fan speed curve in Custom and the noise seems improved quite significant during game mode. Temp is always below 60 deg C.
Anh Dao Huynh perfect! I'm glad it worked out for ya, do you like it? (Don't mind my Minnesotan accent)
I just bought this one and I hate it! It sounds like my vacuum cleaner... I tried undervolting and adjusting it... It's better now, but still just too loud... I'm not sensitive, but it's horrible. Any suggestions for a better card which is more quiet and runs good or even better? Up to 250 bucks...
Katie try using a custom fan curve through msi afterburner
i removed the original fans and put 2 noctuas on the card ,sure its not the best solution due to price but i had them already so yea - 2 fans on the case but now its very quiet but it runs at 80 C which is actually ok now almost half a year.
Keegan they literally just said they tried everything my guy
Is it still that bad? I wanted so much this card. It’s so much cheaper from the rest. The rest of the cards are like 40 pounds more than this one. Have you tried to change the fans?
Antonio Maria there's a reason why this card is so cheap!
Billy Boy I do and it's better
Can also be position of gpu in the case like the case being too small or lack of airflow due to cheap quality fans, or lack of airflow due to ______. I'll be using 9 120mm fans pluss the two on the gpu and the wraith cooler, hope it makes it less noisy.
Taggers Z the more amount of fans you have will make it louder. When there is little to no breathing room in a case, that can also cause more noise.
@@DrSnackCake5 That's why you get a full ATX case with plenty of fan room.
Mine isn’t load idle but I just ended up jelling my fans at a 50 in MSU and I stay in the good 60 range
Keegan:: How would you compare the Power Color RX 580 Red Dragon VS GTX 1070 8GB founders edition, in the Noise Level ?
Just get the gtx 1070 unless you want a jet engine in your room
Mine at full blast stops me from sleeping
Im your 100 Abbonent loo
Nuxx le thank you I really appreciate it!!!
It could be louder due to the static thats going into your pc from the rug thats under it, i would defiantly recommend moving it
Pinhead Productions I don't have a rug under it. It's tile
@@DrSnackCake5 Ah, my eyes have decieved me
sorry
Pinhead Productions no problem man
Are you anthomy from indie conversation?
Will a 450w bronze PSU power this beast?
Alec Adanglao 500 will for sure. Because I have a 500 for mine.
my corsair vs450 works just fine
The cooler of this card is very bad. I found a broken RX 480 Red Devil 8GB. The Red Devil Cooler fits exactly on the PCB of the RX 580 Red Dragon 8 GB and keeps the card quiet and cool.
Oly List I'm gonna have to check it out! Thanks man!
@@DrSnackCake5 You also can use the Arctic Accelero IV . Thats the cheapest and most effectiv way to get this card cool and quiet . In Austria where i life the arctic cooler costs about 60€ new.
Oly List thanks man!
Guys how can you make it quiter? I have the same problem with this graphics card
You’ll have to make a fan curve for the card. You’ll have to download a software called MSI afterburner and tweak it from that software.
I bought this card a few days ago, and installed it into my pc today. Instantly sounds like this when gaming, feel like I've been ripped off really ://
t y b o n cheap card but it’s a rx 580. I have the same feeling
@@DrSnackCake5 did you ever sort out the issue? I think I might return it and get a 1660
t y b o n honestly I would
@@DrSnackCake5 did you ever make it quite?
t y b o n you can make it less noisy but it will still be loud. That is done with a custom fan curve with a program called MSI afterburnner
I mistakenly bought one of these without knowing I was buying into what amounts to a leaf blower. It sounds like a boeing 747 taxxiing on the runway. The fans on this are 85mm whilst other cards are 95mm and boy what a diference 1cm makes, the shroud leaves a lot to be desired as it's full of holes! I'm going to have to try and undervolt this bitch, and failing that apply some artic mx-4 or thermal grizzly paste to the core. It also suffers from rattly chokes/coil whine when under load as well. Failing that im just going to have to wear headphones and ignore it. It seems to get hotter than other cards of it's ilk (also own xfx rx580) as the cooler and fans are inadequate which might affect long term reliabilty of the components on the board. However you can become accustomed to the noise if you've ever owned a 4870x2 as that thing used to draw 300w and the vortex fan sounded like a ramjet. :) Just watch those temps as TjMax is 85c.. Additionally the temperature targe for this card is 70c whilst on my xfx rx 580 it's 75c, mayble this is why the fans go so crazy under load.
It’s honestly not worth buying this card and saving up a little more to get a more modern card. Don’t get me wrong. The RX580 is still a decent card but it is getting outdated.
louder than airplanes
Arthurr Higgin you're damn right lol but a fan curve helps
Using card at 90-100℅ fan speed then says it's loud lmao. I never use any card with more than 60% fan on max load.
i was scared something wrong with my card i dont know why this got recommended to me after 4 years tho
That's louder than my vacuum cleaner
😂 I know
you still own a powerful card for mining .. a return on investement that is fair. But the power colour or dragon brand that you have is fairly cheap. I going with a gigabyte for mine since i believe it will be a bit more quiet then that. But nevertheless nice video. Any bios mod done to it?
No boos mod, I've been telling people to spend the extra ~$20 to get a gigabyte card
Keegan thanks for the reply brother. I truly wish you the best and i really hope the mining investment pay out big time for you. How are you averaging lately since the small bull peak...? on a single card?
RideOrangeKTM I just graduated from school and I have moved back home and I'm too caught up starting my new job. I haven't mined in a while to be honest.
RideOrangeKTM thank you for the kind words!
@@RideOrangeKTM gigabyte is shit, buy sapphire or asus strix
what % the fans are spinning? 80%? 70%?
This is 85-90% Once this card gets beyond 80*C it the fans will go all out to cool the card...
@@DrSnackCake5 I have this card and im about to build a pc with it, but i cant decide on what case to get. Im going to make some videos and i dont want the sound getting into the recording. Do you think that the Silverstone KL07 or Nzxt s340 would be fine with it?
Pinhead Productions honestly the one with the less ventilation. But at the same time the card gets hot. So either one or the other I guess you have to sacrifice. But you can make a custom fan curve to reduce the noice.
Mine never been this loud lmfao
Why the fuck is that thing so loud holy
Nah it’s a feature brah
I swear this card goes to 150 dbs
Lol true
Нихуа ни понял но очень интересно

white noise lmaooo
