No matter what motorcycle you ride. As long as it's a Vmax.

I always wanted this bike since 1985 when I bought my first brand new unassembled bike still in the crate, a 1982 Yamaha 550 Maxim. I felt like I was King of the road back then on my spiffy new motorcycle until this bullet of a bike blew by me doing over 100mph in a 45 mph zone. Of course, overhead was a helicopter chasing the guy. The next time I went to the motorcycle shop I looked over the Vmax and just couldn't believe what an awesome looking powerhouse it was, I had to have one. Years later I bought a brand new 2007 and I'll never part with it. I've had too many people tell me. "I use to own one of those but I sold it, the biggest mistake I ever made." I'll have my Vmax pretty much forever...

My vmax is my go everywhere any and every day. Very comfortable too compared to my Harley’s I used to ride.💯👍

I'm the proud new owner of a new 2019 model. and that coming from a diehard Harley guy...
I'm putting the wide tire kit on it and have my ECU remapped and switch out Stock exhaust.
    About another $3000

WOW. I'm impressed. Please keep us updated. I still don't know if I want to go with the 109R or this bad mufugga.

Worst handling bike I've ever owned. And I loved every minute on it.

I think the thing with them is they fool you into it too. They behave like a very well handling bike, until you push them hard. Then the frame flexes and feels unstable through corners and too much power makes all kinds of scary things happen. But once you kick the stand down and hop off you can't help but laugh haha. What a joy these are to ride. I'll never ever sell mine.

Roll on"s were awesome. I never did give it full power in 1st or 2nd. Can't afford a new tire.

Get a shinko tourmaster 230 rear tire. It won't last very long but I guarantee you it will hook up and you won't be spinning in 2nd, it's hard to do in first

Had the first one a real sleeper and definetly could beat 600 cc sportbikes in 1/8th of a mile. I race a newer 2015 and Run 9.6 in th 1/4 mile pretty dang quick with few mods

That bike in this video is not a 1985 maybe a 86 or 87 be my guess.
I bought a new 1985 Vmax what a surprise such power.
    Wish I still had it.

Says how awful they are as far as handling and I just don't see it. I mean it's not a sportbike but I really don't think it handles that bad.

Riding the machine is great but with a passenger on the back, it would be uncomfortable.

Nice! It was thanks to a red vmax, which I 1st saw as a kid in Nightmare on Elm street 5, the iconic "Freddybike" scene, that I fell in love with the vmax. One the best looking bikes ever imo.

Why do they alway pick 6ft guys to do these reviews. They make the bike look tiny. Im on my 3rd VMax. Fantastic bikes.

The 1st gen V-Max is kind of a tiny bike. The engine is basically 90% of it.
