    Great video! I bought a Revopoint inspire and I can't rotate the item being scanned. I scanned in the vertical position one full turn, when I pause it and move the bust to the horizontal position the software doesn't understand and I end up with one bust in the horizontal e one in the vertical position at the same scan.

    Glad you know what you are doing. I came here to learn but you go way too fast!

      It sounds like you need to learn how to listen faster lol. No but for real I do know I talk a little fast and understand that's a problem sometimes. If that is the problem you can slow down the speed over the video a little and that should help. It also has an added effect of making me sound very drunk depending how slow you make it. 😁👍

    Hey, once I get mine I'm coming back to you for walkthroughs. I need the file for the platform mod. Question: Is there software that comes with the 3D scanner or could I get it as a bundle with a 3D printer? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Wow, this video is exactly what I was looking for, I have been thinking about buy the inspire or the pop 3 because I want be able to scann small- mid size automotive parts including a air conditioner vent for a friend car that have been really difficult to design due to the shape, but still not sure if the extra money for the pop 3 will worth it have your try the inspire?

      @randymay  10 місяців тому +1

      I haven't tried the Inspire 3d scanner so I really don't know anything about it. That being said I have used the following: POP, POP2, POP3, MINI, RANGE and MIRACO.

      @randymay excellent, and how good have been your experience scanning automotive parts with it? Would you recommend it for start scanning this kind of parts at least part that not measure more than 300mm?

    Can you scan a family photo or a live person with the pop 3 3D scanner?

  • @sunnesonne

    So realistically, pop 3 can do 99% of the quality of mini with some minor work and spray

    • @randymay
      @randymay  Рік тому +1

      It wouldn't get the same level of detail as the mini and it will not pick up very small objects like the mini will. That being said the mini still can't really get too small of objects like normal Warhammer units, it won't really pick it up.

      @@randymayyap, for prototyping and reverse engineering pop 3 seems to be more than enough, mini is more for miniatures. At least pop 3 wins over einstar finally and new software is a good update

    • @randymay
      @randymay  Рік тому +2

      Yeah then the POP3 might be a good fit. Also the software update was really nice

    600 bucks for that poor quality...wow

    • @randymay
      @randymay  Рік тому +3

      The quality part going to be very subjective to what you're scanning and what your needs are. If you need every little detail of what you're scanning down to every little scratch or fine detail in it then it's not going to be the scanner for you. These would be used to scan something to get the exact shapes you need and be able to work from or take pretty accurate measurements and be able to work and design around that space in the computer.
