Hey! We just spent our first night in our tent-box and immediately remembered this video where you mentioning a mat to deal with condensation.. could you give us some advice on how you are dealing with condensation?
Yeah sure. If you head to amazon and search for ‘DRY-MAT underlay’ it’s about £60 and looks like a white meshy mat. I think i ordered the king size and cut it down.
It’s still worth airing the tent out for sure but it will keep your mattress dry and stop the mould 👍🏻

@@ibadkureshi i think that’s most tents, especially as the weather gets colder. The mat will definitely help though. How did you find your first night?
@@ChocChipTravels I have mostly camped in deserts in Pakistan so it was new to me. It was a good night, the thermal layer helped with the 5 degree weather. It was in the driveway this night, getting our dog used to it. Next weekend we will drive out to Seaham and build up the distance (yes we are just down the A1(m) from you!
What site is this please? I’ve done some google-fu and it doesn’t seem to exist any more? Gutted if so! I’m only about 30mins from Druridge and it looks idyllic!
Yes it’s Hemscott Hill Farm. It’s not a campsite anymore. I was in talks with them to host a tentbox takeover there next April but i couldn’t make it work

@@MichaelYarde They were actually really great and open to the idea. They just needed the payment up front and I would have had to foot the bill to hire the place which I just couldn’t do
