It's interesting. The title and then seeing the ways he doesn't show himself love. Not accepting the love from someone else(aint nobody praying for me) and then not doing the hard work to love himself(the doors). He looked in each one and said nah. The last one I heard laughter, almost like a child. That's comfortable, I choose that, I was cared for there. As soon as he does the man asks him does he have life and we see what it consists of. 1st door could be pain and loss, 2nd could be emotion and uncertainty, 3rd door could be past or being stuck. He sees her at the end waiting and walks into his smoke filled apartment. Choosing to be stuck again. I enjoyed it.
I’m a visual artist that doesn’t really do traditional subjects so with that in mind: not every films meaning is gonna be cut and dry. It’s all open to interpretation. The way it’s conveyed, writing and flow has its flaws. But I guess the all encompassing thing is life without self love and our choices, satisfaction vs dissatisfaction and how lost you can feel when you compromise too much and try to function with those things. Those things in turn manifest in other aspects of our lives. Just my take on it! Seemed cool to me ⚡️
This was so good makes you wonder if he went to the right door..The three doors maybe represented Hell Heaven & The Matrix(?) The homeless man was either an Angel or The Devil himself...the young man has to learn to know thyself before getting in a relationship with her or anyone...I have actually met a man like that, and I went through the exact same thing like her...Issa is great and we gotta support this Goddess...
Too many elements and symbols, with no clear tie-in. The sudden narrative voice, the homeless person, the three doors, the script he was writing. All the characters were flat, I just didn't get it.
This film was okay. I think I understand what the narrator wanted to convey about writer’s block. However, I’m kinda over black women always losing in relationships like in this one ☝🏾. It’s not a bad film just weak. A lot of it could’ve been tightened and came off more clear.
Maybe you should teach a class on that subject to be honest that's rare where I'm from but I'm really not amazed by the fact people have casual sex cause its common too common ...just my opinion....
I'm confused...There shouldnt have been any narrator, could've left that out. Two what did the doors represent? I don't know it seems all over the place. It didn't dive into what I thought was the main character to understand what was going on with him. I don't know maybe someone can explain what this short was about. I did like the homeless man and his concept though.

My short film will be presented on this platform ❤️
Ki’ Renee Productions how do you apply for this distribution?
Loved the film! This is what it’s like to live in New York in ANY industry as a black man! Very reliable! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I like a simple plot. The abstract I just can’t do.
Nice work DQ, I see you shining fam. Keep it coming. I like the voiceover just randomly dropping in and the pivot shot, plus breaking the fourth wall!
It seems to me that the homeless man personifies the desperation and uncertainty in this piece.
Wow! Takes a lot of talent to make such a poignant statement. I was not ready for it to end! Is there gonna be a part two??
what statement do you feel it made?
Wish we could have gotten more... ❤️👌🏾
Not sure if I even care to watch it again to see if there is a better understanding to be understood in this film. Real flat for me
I appreciated this
i don’t understand. what was the point of this film? like what was the message bc the plot wasn’t clear to me
Right?! Like wth did I just watch?

I agree with you regarding Black women losing in relationships.
Not bad keep going up there is soon much potential
What did the doors symbolize? Anxiety? Complacency? Uncertainty?
Man This shit deep!
