- RIDE 3 may not have the panache and the multiple coatings of polish of some of the other racing sims out there, but thanks to its attention to detail in terms of the bikes themselves, and how well those bikes control, it's a ride worth taking regardless.

These motorcycle games all suffer from lack of a motorcycle peripheral device.
I have this and have been enjoying riding around on a Moto Guzzi V7 for the last hour. I do agree there needs to be more tutorials, especially on riding techniques and the physics of bikes.
My only pet peeve is the sound, some sounds straight inaccurate, only standard 4 cylinders hits the mark
for example, CBR300R sounds the exactly same as R3 (how tf did they missed this?) , Street Triple and Daytona missing the whistles, RC390 sounds like there's an echo everywhere, 2 strokes sounds like a vacuum cleaner, MT-07 doesn't even sounds like MT-07 at all
Oh, I'm glad I came across this video, I've been looking for a good motorcycle racing game to mess around with, didn't even know this game series existed lol. I'm definitely giving this game a try. Thanks Gamingbolt!

@@MikoOhneHose i play with keyboard but this guy is on another level. (note that i completed nurburgring in ride 2 with a s1000rr at 6 minutes and 50 seconds) the thing about keyboard is you gotta know when to hold the key and when to simultaneously tap it.
the game its very enjoyable, it has a livery editor like Forza now. I think this can with confidence be called the Forza for Bikes. It also has like 30 tracks who all look sharp and detailed
I got it on PS4 without realizing it is out on PC as well. I am a dumb dumb. Anyways, fun to play and the bikes handle great. All of them has their own feel just like the real thing and I've been having a blast riding Motorcycles I have owned and currently do own IRL. Models look great as well.
Heck of a fun game, really looks detailed think I will pick this up when it goes on sale, as really like the driving sim genre.
Yeah on some tracks. Have you ever seen the skybox? I never saw anything so bad and low-res since 1999.

THANK U! Also, i'd really like to get a peripheral that is appropriate for moto-sims like RIDE, any suggestions? I was gonna get the Yamaha bike peripheral for the Ps2 and try to config it for Windows 7 or 10, but im afraid it will have a HUGE deadzone.

if you played or known ride 1 or 2 they prob look the very same.... graphically speaking the game is very alike ride 1 and 2.

@@fonzitheman honestly ride 3 doesn’t have that much of a learning curve you can slowly get off of assist and stuff I bought ride 4 it’s a bit more realistic and slightly more of a learning curve but not a super huge one it was pretty easy to pick up for me

Gawd, I loved Tourist Trophy! I was just thinking to myself when another (or IF another) street bike racing sim(ish) would come around. I will pick this up just for my love of bikes. Looks like fun and I would like to see how the BMW 1200R performs. Its racing counterpart in TT (an '02) was my personal favorite. Shaft-driven adds weight but keeps the front wheel down allowing for almost car-like acceleration. Combine that with the ability to hit the throttle harder out of turns, the added weight is worth the readiness of the HP and keeping you on Terra-firma (sp on that one... just mean keeping one on the ground.) Cheers yall!

Zackery G haha..no, I meant in this game. What really makes it good is the rider positioning and movement. I really like the naked bikes in this one. I did not in ride 2. Its great.
I own a BMW s1000R IRL so that's the first Moto I bought in game. Tenerife on the R or RR is wicked.
2:50 crash animations look "jittery and janky" - would it have been too much to show us an example?
Type motogp 18 crash complilation. Same physics absolute trash. At least this year the damage ( visual ) on the bikes is tolerable to look at. Ohysics are good but riders are bricks they never fall off unless you nosedive them unlike ride2 that even minor contact could low side people whic was much more realistic. Livery editor is god send tho i'm getting it next week but ik how te game works from hours playin gp18

Not looking for another Forza on 2 wheels. Haven't played this game, (yet), but I would like to see vintage bikes, cafe racing in the streets of Paris, Barcelona or London with point to point racing with traffic...With classic Triumphs, Victors & Motto Guzzi etc. That would be heaven.

Racing and customisation. What exactly does forza and grand tourismo offer outside of those?
His graphics are set to minimum low. The lowest of the lowest. The game looks stunning if you have a decent pc.

do, control of bikes, stunning graphics from Unreal Engine. Incredible
detailed bikes and tracks. Though - i drive without helpers on my xbox
one x and then it is not an arcade game, very unforgiving game to the
slightest errors, but in a realistic way, so concentrate out there. It
is above 300 km per hour sometimes on the fastests bikes. I guess just
like the real world. It is dangerous, which the accidents show:) i have
been thrown in the air 20 meters up at cliff sides and driven over by
following opponents multiple times. My sexy female - yeah i like better
to look at female drivers as i am a man hehe driver is covered with
bruises:) but she is a strong woman. The motorbikes and technical
descriptions are overwhelmingly detailed and they drive differently. The
tracks are nicely varied and from real world, though i dont know about
road tracks like Ibiza, Lake garda and others if real roads. U can
customize ur bikes in many ways - and now paint them detailed too. I was
very disappointed by the graphics on Motogp 2018 with Unreal as new
graphics motor, but now they learned or had time, so that is certainly
changed. Thumbs up from here to Milestone!! No i am not hired haha - but a bike fan
Have you played TT isle of man ride on the edge. It also looks very cool, in fact I am deciding between ride3 and that one.
Ride 3 challenges like head to head in school of speed 1 is completely trash , How am I supposed to past an AI with a 5min gap, I have been playing since the morning and now its in the afternoon, I still couldn't get gold, all because of School of speed 1 head to head challenge. My rate is 1/10.

Ride 4 is brutally difficult even on the easiest difficult with extremely aggressive and strangely daft Ai.

to be honest I seriously would love if these devs make a stunt like game with all these sport bike... we certainly lack that type of game in the genre.
(just thinking on the nfs underground levels of customization, and type of tony hawk like tricks you can do with motorcycles makes me drool like crazy)
Need more bikes on track.
Tuck is on triangle on PS4 so you need to set Tuck to auto (unless you can map it to analogue stick forward?). You also need to turn off AI balancing or the game is pointless #Rubberband catch-up no matter how well you ride (and it also makes your upgrades ineffective)! But then the AI difficulty may need to be altered for some races as the difficulty is all over the place.
Most bikes are better with front wheel lowered 2 blocks (rear left as default) and suspension all stiffened 2 blocks. You may need to turn off combined front/rear braking. The game's quite arcadey so you can reduce most assists. Wheelie assist might need to be set to full if you set throttle (and brakes) to max. It's like Grand Turismo for bikes - a good game for most bike fans, possibly the best on PS4.
bought it recently after a price drop. hate the game to the guts. you say controlling the bike is a blast but i find it tedious to say the least. somehow the steering is fundamentally broken to a point that doesn't even resemble what riding a bike is like. do you ride in real life?

I haven't played any other Ride game is there a stats system that shows you how many races you've done or races you have won etc? Its a little thing but it matters to me

@@crussell5856 Yeah... Using the front break only and turning on grass with over 140Km/h without problems, pro physics on. Sounds legit.
There's an option called "Off Track Aid" that allows you to control the bike on grass, sand, and ice. If this is turned off there's a very noticeable difference when a tire goes off track.
This option is separate from the physics simulation level.
If they combined ride and Moro gp 19 into one release fuck I would buy it in a heartbeat
Polish aside, I find myself prefering the user experience in this to that of Forza. Not having the microsoft store and just being able to play through steam is a huge boon in my book, it also runs much better than FM7 in my experience.

Can someone tell me why ride 2 is still close to its original price of 80 dollars while being years old but ride 2 is brand new and is like 67 dollars(Canadian dollar, PlayStation store)
When are we going to get a decent bike game with good physics, I mean I want a bike game where you can't full throttle a 1000cc bike fully lent over and you have to fight coming out of the corner to keep the back wheel from spinning and weaving
Andrew Coveney play Ride 2 then, it’s leaps and bound above this steaming pile of shit. Ride 2 actually took skill and time to master, this shit is like rolling the dice every time you enter a corner.
Ride 2 definetely does that... You'll have to ease up the throttle getting out of a corner every time and the road inclination causes a wheelie if you accelerate too much and also influences the efficiency of front brakes (if playing with joint brakes off)..... There's a lot going on... It's a fantastic game...
i realized that i like TT Isle of Man more than ride 1 2 and 3 but is still like ride 1 and 2. with TT Isle of Man I race the crap out of it, and its a blast.

Ride 2 is better but Ride 3 has more content and customization. I wish they could make Ride 4 more similar to Ride 2 in terms of physics. Sliding the rear was super fun and Supermoto didn't feel like a chore. And you could feel the weight of the bikes. Setup played a large role.
Also, the lighting in Ride 2 so much better. Much more natural and colors looked better. Riding stance customization is also one thing missing in Ride 3.
If i would compare the two i'd say Ride 3 is a turn towards arcadey NFS type of game. I hope they won't go full arcade in Ride 4.

Liked the review except for the part where you said that it gets boring after a while. If you buy a game meant for enthusiasts do you think they care much for that? They're enthusiasts and want to race in a racing game lol. Not trying to be rude but just remember the market.

Ai bike feels like the train in GTA5, harder to knock down, sometimes if had to squeez pass them but they can knock you down super easy, and everytime they get into my way corning, Ai bikes are programs to ride on their own lines, so you pass block them and had to be in front , they will knock you down easy. thats what i dont like about it, but motogp 17 , the Ai will stop for you if you get in front, feels more like a real person riding, in ride 3 they are just like a train.

i actully own a real ducati v4 speciale and when i play this game with that bike in professional physics and no line or brake assist indicator it ride almost like the real deal the sound the acceleration except you cant ride the curbs or grass as aggressively as this in the real deal and tracks tend to be in perfect condition with no bump or imperfection but all in all its a great game

@@FGPR01BrunoCauz yes and no its called trail braking in the game they let you do way to much of it under lean then in real life once you finish your main stright brakinng you slowly trail off your braking proportional to you lean angle until you at full lean then you slowly trasition to trottling out during mid corner increasing your trottle as the lean angle lessens until you rech a point you can full trottle tryinng playing with no tc abs wheelie control and no track line or braking line the riding feels alot like real life the only difference is the game tend to think your bike and the track suface is always perfect but in real life its far from that but to be honest its pretty realistic for a game
Cool! i really wanna learn to ride in real life. So would you say that practicing in Ride 3 would be a good exercice? i dont want to think i "know" some riding and then when i take my first turn in real life ill say : ok so if in ride i can do this, it might work almost the same here ,(ends up dead) xD
@@FGPR01BrunoCauz the problem with games like this is there no g force it does not teach you how to position your body during lean or how to drop knee from corner to corner how to brace on the braking zone or tuck on the stright or countersteer the only think it teaches you is the lines but even then its unsafe to play this game with no experience and then proceed to go on a real race track or road an expect you can ride the curve marker at full lean and not expect a crash like i said this game expect the track to be perfectly smooth and the rider to be motogp level and never make a mistake its very common for new rider to panic brake under lean go wide dont lean enough or have bad boddy position corner lines and torrttle control but then again games like grantursimo also does the same thing but car is much more forgiving then bike when it comes to mistakes i recomend you get yourself a track day event with instructor to teach you how to properly ride and then play this game for line marking reference do not assume you can lean and brake like the game if you have not ridden a real bike before beacuse like you said you will end up hurt real bad or dead

Fish its way better than ride 2..and I loved that one.
Only 10 seconds into the video and you can see how unrealistic the physics are. It's a shame there aren't any good simulation games for bikes like there are for cars.

My problem with milestone s.r.l. bike games is the handling/controls, isle of man TT was a harder game but had a smoother fun even more realistic handling even though i wasn't great at it, (Note: i love Gravel)

Yea I get the fucking point of reality and I don't play games for the realistic and accurate things no I play them because they are fun but what I mean by the turning you have to slow down for is because in alot of other games you can turn faster he'll GTA has better racing quality and you can go fuck the hell off 🖕

Ride 3 is a good game with especially impressive sound, compared to Ride 2. However, it seems like you get only half the game unless you spend another $40 on the Season Pass. But even after buying both the game and the Season Pass, there are still some bikes and tracks that you don't get unless you buy all of the DLC packs. There are just way too many microtransactions! Sure, there's a ton of in-game advertising, but that is typical in the racing world.

Should probably have mentioned that the Online feature is the worst in racing history. You can't chose Anything. You get 4 random classes and 4 random tracks to vote on. And you can't change Any of the race options such as collisions, which is a Huge problem.

There's a similar game released recently called Road Redemption for PC at least.
Good graphics but the way the a.i is designed a lot of the races aren't even fun. Just irritating. No matter how perfectly you take corners the a.i is faster than you. And will try to knock you over whenever possible or brake check you.

I prefer motogp18 than ride 3 in control term. Specifically cornering control, i can't turning smoothly while playing using keyboard but i can in motogp 18. But the game performance is great, very stable.
The AI's are horrible racer. Just the same as ride 2. They can hit you in the corner.

I use both. When i'm mobile sometime just don't want to use controller. But at home i use it.

Shannon Connor it's unforgiving when you change the physics simulation level to Pro, change anti wheelie to low or off, and set AI difficulty to medium or higher.
It's hilarious how bad the player in the video is, but it goes to show how difficult it is to master the controls

than-stein nguyen I own a 94 ZZR 1100 D4 and that low speed wobble during turns is unrealistic. Ride 3 handling is more realistic. If you owned a real bike you’d agree. The feel of a real bikes handling is smooth and very controllable unlike ride 2 otherwise I’d be dead by now ;)

I made an earlier comment that ps3 (Tourist Trophy) was probably the best motorcycle game of ALL time but i forgot it is actually a ps2 game lol probably STILL has better physics,graphics,and nearly as many bikes so it seems like these gaming moguls are going backwards in THIS genre lol
This game is the slaps. Honestly I've been super sad cuz I'm on Christmas break and had to leave my 05 ZX6RR in Arizona for the month, but this game has been working pretty well as a plug for the hole that's been drilled in my soul from the absence of my baby. The bikes handle just as I would expect them to, only downside is that I have to feel it and control them through a controller. It's not the same without feeling the warmth of the engine on your inner thigh, and that little pop of a backfire as your RPMs fall as you come off the gas. Smelling the cancerous smell of exhaust as you strap on your gloves and wait for your engine to warm up. The sound of hell opening up as you hit the powerband and anyone behind you starts going deaf. The taste of the inside of your helmet when you tuck up on the tank and your mouth gets pressed up against the vent. Watching the headlights of that asshole's Mustang who wanted some get smaller each time you glance in your mirror, then waiting at the next light to lift your visor, wink at the girl in his passenger seat, and make a right onto the next road, heading wherever it takes you.

GetSmartOr DieTryin yeah it was the worst news for me too but the game is better than Ride 2 despite the lack of split screen. I’m hoping that enough people will complain about it and they will add it in future rides if they decide to make another. Fingers crossed🤞🏻

We already have lots of boring games, except maybe "TT Isle of Man" which is better in speed and tracks.
WHY THEY CAN'T MODELIZE REALISTIQUE AND DIFFERENT TRACKS, because its still the same boring game.
Coz they have a small portion of track to do, it's not like doing the CREW with a big map!
Ride 2 has better physics and gameplay. Ride 3 is only better graphically. I don’t understand how people are saying anything other than the handling and feel is absolutely shit. Ride 2 is day and night better. The bikes lean over artificially and virtually instantly, but understeer like hell through all the turns. Trail braking is useless. I got refunded. The graphics are good, but the gameplay is 2d and numb.

Hmm I played ride 2 till the release of ride 3 and i don't know what you're talking about the physics are absolutely the same the only difference in those games is the handling improved alone with graphics but everything else is the same. Overall ride 3 is the ride 2 but improved.
Why does 193mph look like you might get overtaken by a fat kid on a tricycle? That massive disconnect between what speed really feels like and what it claims to be in-game is utterly unforgivable. I wouldn't wipe my arse on this piece of shit.

Lol. No. That would be GP500. Even by todays standards it's still good. SBK 2001 doesn't hold a candle to it. And the only bike sim is GP Bikes.
